Too add to the main point, a lot of artists and labels would love for a song to come out but clearing samples and getting verses and instrumentals cleared is usually what stops most modern music from being published as a true song

Thats just the lazy musicians. Its so easy to re record sampled music . Making crap music Is the most common reason music doesn't get released . Not samples.

They could avoid that if they didn't depend on the originality of others.

The worst thing is when you have friends who released a song you loved but changed their mind on it. They let their current direction, or worse, a relationship that fell out with someone associated with the production, get in the way of objectively good music. It does feel like a crime to deprive people of that 😂 especially if they already heard it but never downloaded it

So take your money and create your own radio station to where you can play all of those thousands of songs with a link to each song for people to buy it and see how well they work out and then prove those big executives wrong.

Juice, XXX, and a lot of other guys in that generation were/are incredibly hard working, some of them making several songs a day. I guess if you can get into a stream of consciousness where you're recording your ideas and collect enough of them to always have a release would be ideal.

Maybe it sucks or maybe we're too spoiled with industry engineered sounds and meticulously studied music theory. Music hundreds of years ago wouldn't have been that precise, it was a pastime, now it's like a drug.
