With this power figures, it can gain sales. Force just need to do a good marketing and promotions, they should come up with some campaign by which people will be aware of this great SUV ...Apart from Thar , Gurkha is also a great SUV
Every car company must understand, we indian love features, ventilated seats, stearing mounted controls, defoggers, cruise control are essentials nowadays.
Overall, a missed opportunity again. Target customers are those who would have the money to buy & drive mostly in the city, urban based, and (occasional) weekend- off roading / long distance travel with family. So 80% ride would be in the city. So no steering controls, No ADAS, and lack of boot space made it sure that these customers will not buy this. Middle-Row seat should have been made reclinable and more side support as its prone to body roll. And for heaven's sake- should have made the centre console more modern..All they had to do would be to look at the 2005-2008 G-Wagen (this being called the Indian clone of that vehicle). This looks as if Force deliberately wants to avoid urban customers. And niche-customers with money have better options. ... What a BIG missed opportunity ...AGAIN!! Sad.
1. Space between the driver seats and middle seats is the first disadvantage(no leg room).. 2. Unfoldable Middle seats and the most rear seats(captain seats) again is the disadvantage as offroading also include feature for camping purpose.. 3. Relying Eco mode for Hill decent driving is unsatisfactory.. I wish the Company still add the Hill decent control. 4. Absence of Hill stop Assist is also unsatisfactory for modern vehicles that price 16lakh and above 5. Absence of child safety lock and the presence of only two Airbags are also the disadvantage..
The probability of launching R9 is not so much, a good option will be the Triumph Daytona 765. It will be launched in India soon and have a sporty riding position like the older Karizma. And decent enough power as well. - From Kingshuk

best you can do is remove the middle deat and put older captain seat and let the car be 4 seater with more comfort. or remove rear seats and shift the mid seating to back (around 1 feet), you will get the better space and luggage space also.

Just love the new Force Gurkha 5 dr but the second row seat seem to be a little bit cramped... It doesn't have much leg room. Anyhow much better than a Bolero. 👍👍👍👍✌✌✌🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Almost perfect. Now work on brand image. Make after sell service an example for others and work on electronics like 360 cam and screen that made for this vehicle.
I was waiting since long for 5 door and I’m huge fan of Gurkha but this is worst update in terms of interiors. This is know for space and now its worst for space. Not at all expecting this kind of update from Force. The never think from customer prospective. Sorry but was not I’m expecting.
Option for a versatile seating position in the 5 door Gurkha should be there..... 4 , 5 , 6 seat as per requirement with proper space utilisation, present middle seat in the 7 seater is not ergonomic
Force India has a diamond in their hand and they do not know what to do with it. This could have been a game changer for most of the car brands. Most of them by now would have taken this to a level beyond comparison. We could see this as an Indian answer to the G-wagon completely under Make in India and could have forced the international market to take this beauty of a car seriously. Force India Jaago!!!!
