Great Tip. Since I read this in Ryan's book, I've used this method for customer dashboards many many times. I had the problem that I could not name the axis on the top and did not figure out how I could achieve it with a dual axis of avg(0). Now I know. Many thanks!
Great video! Thank you very much. I have one question: in the end there is an empty row at the bottom (the x-axis), is it possible to remove this white space, or to for example add totals?
Hi @Andy, this is really helpful, thank you very much! On the same line, I have a question related to the wrapping of dimension text to the column width, sometimes when we try to show long text, the text gets cutoff due to the width, can we do some trick to increase the size of that cell so that we can show whole text in that cell?
Hey, i am looking for conditional formatting to a column wise cells..in crosstab... As we see in excel... like If column cell value 90 and 100 then green...

You can make the cell taller but I don’t believe there is a way to make the width dynamic.
@@vizwiz yeah, I think we should raise to Tableau, what's your suggestion.
how will we know when to use avg(0) ? as that part didn't understood
on the whole it is very useful tip.
From what I can see, it's almost as if the best way to use measures on the column shelf is by dual axis. It increases overall flexibility of the tool
From where we can find the sample file for the same exercises and practices.?
i think the date used in this vedio is the date in tableau SuperStore
Wat is meant by discrete and continuous can u say?

Write a calculated field and put it on the color shelf.
Please provide a sample file for practice
