Your videos help me explore different possibilities in Tableau, as well as learn the tips and tricks you use, thanks, these videos have been extremely helpful to me.
Love this one and have used it a couple of times. Have shared it with my team and will do so with our Centre of Excellence. Again, this is a "thing" where it'd be better if Tableau could recognise the format of the original Measure and manage the axis accordingly, as it's a pretty lengthy process to achieve a basic thing.
A slightly quicker way would be to make calc for same number formatting... So profit margin, discounts would be 1 calc and formatted as %, then any dollar $ for mating would be in same calculation, so instead of separate calc for each metric, write a calc for each number format... Hope that makes sense
Nice video!! Is there a way to put strings and integrers on a parameter calculation? I want to display different points on a map based on the choosen parameter (one is string, the other is a number) thank you!
How about using this (or similar method) with dynamically formatted axis? (i.e. formatted as a percentage, currency, etc. depending on the metric selected)
You go beyond just showing us a new trick, you explain how it affects the tooltips and you help us fix it.. Great video, as always.
The best Tableau channel, it has helped me alot with my dashes🙏🙏🙏

Thank you!
Thank You so much for the video.. :-) .. It's an excellent tip
If I have reference lines, is there any way that I can put average lines for, let say, sales and unit price and a constant value for profit value?
Is there a way to have the metric name display on the x-axis based on the selection?
Huge thumbs up!
Very Nice! Excelent!
Hi andy, in this scenario how to add an date time field with hh:mm:ss format to the parameter
Tableau doesn’t support time format only.
Awesome!
Brilliant!
How can you sort the values without the x axis?
Sort the dimension by the metric value field.
Will it work for text table?
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.
wow...
Awesome!
