Asymmetrical tongue protrusion of a sign of weakness with cranial nerve 12. There are different types of lesions that can occur with cranial nerve 12 that would warrant different testing and follow up, but with this diagnosis and clinical finding, cranial adjusting can and did make an improvement. There was a study published in PubMed regarding this type of cranial adjusting, and, although it was not addressing a neurological issue, it does show it as part of a treatment protocol for chronic head pain.

Hey Taft, thanks for your interest and great question. Anytime we are working in the craniosacral system, yes, there is the need to consider both ends to the system. The asymmetry is more about the movement and tension in the system and not about the bones. I thought this was a skit at first. You are suggesting that dilating the naso pharynx for 3 seconds can affect a persons tongue asymmetry and gag reflex? I have had chiropractic treatment for back pain and it was incredible, but everything he did had scientific merit. Is there any evidence based literature that supports this ?
Sounds like you had a great experience with your chiropractic treatment for back pain. There are many types of treatment for back pain, so I am not sure what was done with you to be able to discuss the nature of it being scientific and evidence based. We are all striving to bring as much clarity and evidence based treatments forward, but, only approximately 18% of medical procedures are high quality, evidence based. More research is necessary in many areas of healthcare and medicine, but until then, many treatments are based upon experience and collaboration with other doctors. Cranial adjusting of many types focuses on the important relationship of the spheno-basilar junction to influence cranial bone movement and neurological function ( not pathology ). PubMed published an article, "Nasal specific technique as part of a chiropractic approach to chronic sinusitis and sinus headaches"
@@paveljelinek772 So.. you are going to blindly believe any guy that tells you that a "treatment" is good. You need to start reading researchgate instantly... check how science is built.
@Dr Bes MD Hey Dr. Bes, I appreciate your view point and we both understand the reality is that according to the British Medical Journal study, only 18 percent of clinical recommendations are based on high-quality evidence, which leads to most procedures being used based anecdotal evidence that they work, unless proven otherwise or harmful. In the course of working with physical complaints in the body and attempting to diagnose the source of the problem, not treating the symptoms, there are many effective methods to achieve this and one is by finding sources of dysfunction and correcting them. Cranial Facial Release, when the need is diagnosed, does have clinical correlation, is very effective and is not being passed as having high-quality evidence.
funny how no actual Doctors recommend this “procedure” at all.....for any reason I queried this with my ENT and he outright said it’s complete BS and you risk doing serious damage. And anyone recommending it should be avoided How chiropractors call themselves Dr’s when they try and pedal this shlt is beyond me
Interesting! I just spoke with a medical neurologist from Seattle who was amazed at how this work can so effectively move the sphenoid bone, "the cog of cranial bone function" and wanted to learn it. I am sorry to hear that your ENT doesn't have knowledge about this and is so willing to make an opinion. Also interesting that there is a "medical procedure/surgery" called a "Balloon Sinuplasty" where they use a balloon inserted into the sinus to open blocked sinus passes. This is using a balloon in the nasopharynx to open up the nasopharyngeal passage. Someone's lack of knowledge should not form the foundation for a valid opinion.
@@askdrolsen that’s a completely different procedure altogether so not sure what your point is exactly ..... is your argument that a CFR is safe purely because other procedures also use balloons ? Those other procedures you mentioned also have a tonne of peer reviewed papers. But feel free to correct me and direct me to where I can find any support for CFR’s from a Practicing Ear Nose and Throat specialist.
Well here is the thing, specially in the western world.... Medical treatments have been taken over by for profit pharmaceutical companies and many specialists and even Doctors come out of their Doctorates in debt, unfortunately many have been corrupted by the big pharma dollars. This is why it is always important to keep an open mind when it comes to treatments that don't include pharmaceuticals. Just a thought.
Dude sounds like a quak and his patient room looks more for show, like a quak. To be clear it looks like most of the things in the room are to make him look more professional.
It can be surprising to find out what you don't know. There are amazing connections that have been dissected and documented. If you want to see some amazing work in this area, check out the work of Dr. Mar Pick. Dr. Pick instructs two yearly courses in human dissection at the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii specifically in this area of cranial structure and dural membrane movement and tension.
As a cranial Osteopath, I find your comment quite uneducated. Yes it is a field that most people do not know because it doesn’t get backing from profit making corporations. You could open your mind and start reading up on the connections of the Dural membranes in your body. Start with a good anatomy book.
Unsanitary to put the used balloon and bulb in the cabinet. Contamination for the next procedure and patient. Great way to spread infectious organisms to your patients.
Not likely. But depending on the source of the snake oil, it may have had a healthy blend of Omega 6 and Omega 3 fats and depending on the person's inflammatory state, it may have helped to reduce their inflammation. Interesting, but these can actually be tested for relatively easily and so can the source of the fats. Some food for thought!

Dude I have seen this done god knows how many times but this is the first time I have seen the balloon in someone's mouth
I have been looking for someone to evaluate me in San Antonio where I live now. If anyone knows then please let me know who is qualified for this adjustment. I had surgery to reset my broken nose when I was a teenager and I can tell that my left nasal bone is slightly slanted more than the right side and the left side also has less airflow through it 😔. Just tired of it I guess. Thanks for any suggestions.
Also in San Antonio. All I found were the docs who adjust some things. That’s all
These type of doctors exist on the internet for views, 99.9% of chiro's are the standard 15 minute crack and release ones.
idk what this is but i need it
Truly fascinating!
Where can I get the equipment?? I have been suffering from headache and temporomandibular joint for several years. Is it ok to do self-remedies at home alone? I've been to a lot of hospitals in Korea, but I'm stuck. Is there any place in Tokyo where I can receive similar chiropractic treatment..? If you know, please suggest me
Hi Sim Jack, thank you for your interest. At this time, we do not recommend this for self treatment. Unfortunately, I am not sure about finding somebody in Korea, but if I find somebody, I will let you know.

8:39 Holy shizzle. the balloon comes out his mouth!!!!
3:49 same glove in the mouth as the toe strength test?
I thought that too 👀
Wow I’ve never seen the balloon procedure
Screw that noise. I feel bad for people who fall this crap. Hope people have real doctors on stand by because this can and will cause serious issues both short and long term. The "doctor" here even stated in the comments that this can help with constipation! Line up everyone, lol.
Very cool!!!
Doc trying so hard not to laugh 😂
1:27-1:36 didnt seem so convincing lmao
Wow it went all through the mouth on a second one.. geez
I know!!! Ohhh gosh, thats scary.
That is because this shit is not even scientifically proven. This is all chiro shit.
@@gzitterspiller nonsense, take a look at any latest video of Dr. Doug Willen where he explains it's benefits

Where is your office located?
Hi Korey, we are located in Lake Forest, California
Does this help with constipation?
@@williammclaughlin7357 Hi William, there are some patients that helps with constipation.
@The Deep Harp Hi there! This is a great question. Cranial Facial Release can help make the skull more symmetrical.
'you might wanna see what plastic surgeon Gary Linkov say about this. Hes done video with chiropractic dr.
funny how no actual Doctors recommend this “procedure” at all.....for any reason
I queried this with my ENT and he outright said it’s complete BS and you risk doing serious damage. And anyone recommending it should be avoided
How chiropractors call themselves Dr’s when they try and pedal this shlt is beyond me
Interesting!
@@TJJJJJJJJJJJ he will have a fake response to every question. The way he even talks, nothing but a shady salesman.

Chiropractors are quacks. You should see Myles Powers video on it.
@@louisbaker4362 agreed, this one is a special kind of quack.
Not the nasal balloon to address issues with the dural membrane 😂😂😂 I cannot imagine being so gullible.
That tattoo reveal though
DANGEROUS QUACKERY which can break the inner nasal bones. Better hope you have good liability insurance.
That just looks dangerous! Like Medevil Torture

Banana face?!?
Unsanitary to put the used balloon and bulb in the cabinet. Contamination for the next procedure and patient. Great way to spread infectious organisms to your patients.
He threw the user's balloon out, you can see that in the video

He would of been better off with some good old snake oil
Ah..
Hmmmmmm.
