Why this sample of buckwheat? He prob has a few hundred true blue cajun crawlers that is the real sound of bayou. Your right harri this is to commercialized
What a great rendition of the classic, I know, from Cream. The instruments are so amazing. Each individual appearance give a perfect performance. Love the horns.🎺🎺🎷🎷🥁🥁🎹🎹🎸🎸. And the vocals, Buckwheat, exceptional. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Bushy. Great Bayou tune. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Only had one opportunity to visit Louisiana which also was my introduction to Zydeco music. The memory has stayed with me ever since, and while I don't know much about the origins of this style of music, I know it when I hear it and just love it. Nice reaction Harri, :)
I was blown away by Buckwheat's non-stop energy when he closed the Alert Bay Music Festival on a remote indigenous island community off the west coast of Canada. He was probably in his 70s and that big Hohner accordion sure looked heavy, but Buckwheat (real name Stanely Dural) seemed like he wanted to play all night even more than the much-younger members of his band. I still treasure my autographed copy of The Buckwheat Zydeco Story, a delightful 15-song retrospective. You haven't lived until you've heard him play Ma 'Tit Fille.
Great Zydeco! To me, Zydeco meets James Brown and Chicago. Just my first impression and music history in me head. Thanks. Oh, and Al green. All lovely 🥰
Zy- de- co with emphasis on Zy (Zi). Zydeco is a music genre. I've seen BZ perform live. Leader, Stanley Dural, Jr. (Buckwheat) passed away approximately six years ago. Peace out.
Love Zydeco. It really is Street Dancing music where you are just out in downtown with a Stage and just enjoying everything that is happening around you with all these "strangers". Grew up in South Louisiana where sadly I took Zydeco and Cajun for granted. Living away from it is really realizing how great it was.
Zydeco is the mix of African and french Cajun music in Louisiana. It's great music and something that you can say is pretty much purely American, although you'll only really find it prominent in South Louisiana. Other people to listen to, Keith Frank, Chris Ardoin, Jamie Bergeron, and Travis Matte.
Hi Harri, ' 'Thank you for the reaction. Check out Billy Preston;'s "Will it go round in Circles" They sound very similar. That would be funky and cool.
Pronounced ZY-DEE-CO it is a type of music by the black people of South West Louisiana. Really fun to dance to and have a good time. Here is some contemporary Zydeco with Geno Delafose at a typical Zydeco dance night: th-cam.com/video/I629R2cRMnI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=ScottyTibbsII
Zydeco is a type of music similar to cajun. You might llike Doug Kershaw doing Louisiaana Man. I first heard the song in the 70's. It might be older. th-cam.com/video/c-Mj1mZiDRc/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Harri...The Cajuns thank you.

Cajun blues, where’s the crawfish & gumbo
Stanley Dural would have been upset with you if you referred to his music as Cajun.

Another cover of a famous song was done by Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers, Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix
