Not only are they absolutely adorable, they're also far more mature than most American girls their age. It's refreshing for someone my age to see and hear young people who actually know how to be civil and polished, and realize that that is far more attracting and impressing than trying to be "sexy" and "cool".
it's an awesome feat of misdirection. the card reading put the idea of a force in P&T's mind, the flamboyant gestures put coding in their minds. however, the intro mentioned that the sisters have a technology background, and these tricks are quite possible with some simple technology, which we know P&T have regularly been fooled by. The misdirection was so good that technology never came up.
I'd like to think they they wouldnt allow an act where its just some micro tech send and receive, its not a satisfying win
some people are saying they use ventriliquism to fool them???
@@rg950 Penn is "carnie trash", I'm sure he'd have spotted that. The "doll" twin couldn't move her lips in sync if she didn't know what was going to be said.
@@lmc4964 Micro tech is a long standing tool in the magician's tool kit. buttons in shoes is a popular one.

What a wonderful act. I thoroughly enjoyed this performance. The girls have beautiful energy. And The ending was much better than in “ the shining” .

I'm going to say those whistles they have around their necks are not just simple whistles and there for a reason. Their tech was hidden in them, something akin to an i-watch perhaps, or even simpler. There could have also been something in the podium behind them when she had the cards behind her back. Great performance

I love the act. The twins are cute and funny. The part I liked the best though was when they realized they fooled Penn and Teller. The look on their faces suggested they were surprised, bordering on shock.

We have an energy crisis in the UK. I think the Van Hargen twins may have taken it all. If they come back to the UK, we just need to plug them into the National Grid and they'll power the whole Kingdom!. I'm not often left speechless, but I'll make an exception for these two. I thought the first card trick was lame, I could see how the medal one might have been done, but the Olympic sports cards was good and the final ping-pong ball trick just blew me away. I do hope we see more of Poppy and Sasha.

Wow! Those are some interesting girls!
Class A entertainers, high energy, fun. These may have star power, like Vegas type stuff.
I bet each prop was cued with tech to have a different buzz for each prop when moved and then apart from the others and maybe even when held high or in contact with a person, some vibration discrete from the others but quick and memorizable, delivered to their braces, which are tech too! Haha Even that would be amazing, that quickness of response. Cheers!
I was completely fooled in a good way
I think part of why P&T were fooled is that they let their guard down. Two teenage girls in braces, doing all the bouncing around stage and speaking simultaneously as Penn said, made both of them think they would see the same old amateurish mentalist act they both hate.
But thats not what they got. For all the (intentional) lack of polish in the girls' presentation , their techniques and timing were flawless.
The girls deserve two trophies; one for P&T not knowing how they did it, and one for making P&T think they were rank amateurs.
So you think you know how it was done?

The last time I saw Penn this pissed off was in season 2 .. he really contained it this time .. but it was there.. he doesn't like mentalist..
he's pissed off because they flat out lied to him!
6:32 you can see multiple ping pong balls have the same name, don't what this means in terms of the result but just an observation
I think they're good at ventriloquism. Their voices are pretty identical. That's the only explanation I can come up with. The moving around is a distraction. If you watch the final trick, you'll see what I mean.

@@patereekoelectrik842 I know what you mean. I watched it again. The diving card looks like it was coded when the other twin snapped her finger one time. The Mexico trick is the problem. I'm going to try to figure that out. Maybe the twirling of the medal has something to do with it. Not sure.
@@ronaldhall4087,, well they declared no coding to Penn.. I think somehow you were going somewhere with the voice thing, and they say, We look alike, sound alike, and think alike .. I do notice that when she gets the medal behind her back there's a bit of fumbling going on ., maybe she can feel the word, .. it has relife. i dunno m were missing something simple here
You might be right… but the M in Mexico can only be pronounced with the lips closed and Sasha is smiling with wide lips open when Mexico is pronounced.
Actually I really love this explanation because it means they went full "The Prestige" and did a trick that can ONLY be done by twins. I would also imagine that their "twin link" so to speak is in fact real to some degree. In other words because they are so familiar with each other's thought patterns etc that they can somehow relay information to each other almost instantly. Many twins can finish each other's sentences, after all. This is taking that to the next level and incorporating that into magic. Magic that would take a normal working pair of magicians perhaps years of practice to even come close to replicating. So if this theory (or some variant of it) is true then they are indeed only able to do this because of their magical twin bond. How cool is that!

seems like free choice all around - the ping pong balls were not entirely unique but he was free to choose out of the jar
best guess for me is that they had a system setup with vibrations or ear pieces where one of them could send numbers to the other which would then be interpreted as code for a word
the first trick was just picking specified cards
the next two were brail + tech comms
fourth one was limited choice + tech comms

I am a twin so of course I know the secret.
I am however bound by twin " law and confidentiality " to not tell you!

Not a chance. I slowed it down and rewatched it. The girl in the back doesn’t open her mouth or move it enough to be shouting the things she’d need to. And the girl up front would have to have insane reaction time to correctly catch what the word was and try to make it look like she was saying it.
Nearly. Maybe one says the forename and one says the surname :o)
I have no idea how they did the tricks! It was so fast! I will however guess the names on the balls were probably names of athletes that were easier to pronounce. If they had to memorize, that would be a bit easier.

It's easy to see that there are a limited number of names in the ball of balls. You can clearly see Yohan Blake, Adam Peats, and Seb[astion] Coe, and others repeated several times. If I were to guess, there are only 10 names, one for each toe.
If you watch carefully you can see that names are repeated in the ping pong balls
wish they could give me some of that energy, really need it :/ btw telepathy is real, just not on this level .. or could it be that they really can send real messages telepathically? i have no idea how those cute girls did that, but if i had to do such performance myself, i would have a tiny camera somewhere and other one would have earpiece and 3rd person would be monitoring the camera and then telling her via earpiece what it is, however i don't think this is how they did it.
I'm 99% positive tho, that one of them had earpiece. they admitted that there was free choice and no code talk, so that info had to be transmitted by different means.

I don’t know…I think this was a “given” trophy…they figure out way harder tricks all the time.
If they were really psychic, they wouldn't have to tell each other when they're "ready to go"...
For the same reason that they fire a pistol or canon for or sound a beep or horn to start any race in sport. It is not enough to be ready, or else a 100m dash would be quite chaotic. Of course they could have done that telepathically, but no-one else would know when the challenge starts. Penn would not know when to show the ball, for example.
Forgive me, but it’s super obvious that a lot of those ping pong balls are duplicates!
I love the fact that we’ve come to an age where well educated individuals no longer scoff at the possibility that this simply was telepathy.
Now that’s not to say it was, but that it’s recognized as completely possible is a positive progressional step for our species’ emergence into higher consciousness 🌱
They obviously had a visual cue memorized for every conceivable option. I’m not even a magician and i figured that out. Penn and Tellers credibility takes a big hit on this one.

The first card trick didn't fool P&T. Poppy has memorized the top 3 cards and all Sasha did was false cuts leaving the 3 cards on top. 😊
The last trick that fooled P&T did not fool me. I don't want to give away the entire secret but I will say Poppy memorized every name on those ping pong balls and the twins having the SAME VOICE came in very very handy. 😊.

My guess there using a shinner a mirror a mirror Ring like toy spy sunglasses with mirrors on each side of sunglasses idea concepts and Mrs Story Said the one in her pocket is the one she used and I said yeah your right
