This oily bowl may be the most effective live mouse trap I've ever seen for some reason the mice aren't scared and sketchy around it even with a bunch of other mice in it.
Mice don't have fast stamina recovering. They are just too tired after one minute. They'll just restart after they have recovered. Survival instinct is a thing, you know.
I have an invasion in my home, I trap like 14 at the moment, and today I see one very big compared to the others, they got sticked in a trap, but they fight like a few minutes, stop, and start again in some time, they make so much noise when are traped
I had a mice problem in my chickens coop. They would eat the feed at night and poop all in it. Nasty little boogers. I set out regular Victor traps and only caught one. I saw this video and thought I would give it a try. I used a very large stainless steel bowl and put some vegetable oil with about 1 tsp of peanut butter mixed in. The next morning I go check and I had 27 mice trapped in the bowl! They were climbing all over each other trying to get out and my chickens were all standing around in a circle watching. Funniest thing to see! Thanks for posting 👍
Jonas , I didn't kill them, although my chickens had gotten some and ate them before I could get to them. I took them to a field a couple miles away an let them go

Keep in mind- it is happening in the dark. You see this because of infrared camera view. but they orient on sound, smell and whiskers that detect motion and walls around them.
@Lexi 93 Oil isn't usually irritant, at least to mammal. I think it would be more comfortable to have oil in your eyes or nose than water. Of course it probably feels gross, but I doubt it hurts.

I have a solution for that you have to trick the AI into following you then run to a door and they get caught in the doors hotbox its not the trap but it works
Compassionate, but highly unsanitary. Catching mice that have been running around in the wild, or in a barnyard and keeping them is not the same as buying them from a pet store. Wild mice carry some nasty pathogens, some of which are fatal and uncurable to humans. They are not suitable as pets and should be dispatched.
