- Writer-director Rob Zombie talks his first production job as a lowly crew member on PEE-WEE’S PLAYHOUSE (1986-90), and making his films HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES (2003), THE DEVIL’S REJECTS (2005) and the remake of HALLOWEEN (2007).
I love how down to earth and candid he is it's so refreshing to hear.
This is how you do an interview. Mick asks good questions and has a great dynamic with Rob as if they're well-acquainted. I also love how it's shot and lit, most interviews look like shit.
Pretty Normal Media Many thanks. Glad you are enjoying them!
this is such a good interview. So well researched and so casual. Its like two old friends talking over coffee. I want more.
+Heretic Thanks! Keep watching this space for news in the near future.
House of 1000 Corpses is my FAVORITE HORROR MOVIE!!! Thanks for pushing forward and making it happen!! ❤
Happy to have you on board!
Where the f&$k has this series been my whole life. Literally cannot stop watching!
+Kyle Spencer Glad you're enjoying it. We may be doing more soon. Keep your eyes open..

+ZosoB80 Thanks. Glad you're enjoying them!
He’s super interesting to listen to. Brilliant guy.
These interviews are awesome!
Thanks. Glad you're enjoying them.
Love these interviews, Mick! Thanks!
This rad. Rob Zombie seems like a pretty cool guy
Thank you for all of these amazing interviews Mick! Incredibly insightful and entertaining!
This is an exceptionally candid interview. Love or loathe his work, you cant deny the mans honesty. He did what he felt and thought was best and was passionate about which I imagine is all you CAN do when offered a project like remaking Halloween. Offer it to Rob Zombie....well this is what you'll get, sorry, did you expect something else? Love it? Great! Hate it? Well you'll always have the original.
Great interviews. Great subjects.
+calabiyou Many thanks!
Great interview's! You should get someone to interview you on your own show. You have done a lot of great work.
Much more fun to ask the questions than to answer them! Thanks.
I must admit,,if someone asked me who famous would you like to hang out with for a day..it would be Rob!
great interview!
Cool dude. Zombie iz tha man !!!!
Amazing chanel man, I subbed! Great interview :)
+KimKewl Glad you're enjoying it, thanks!
We need more interviewers like mick garris
Zombies halloweens was great, 2 more then the 1st, finally someone has the balls to do something diff with Michael Myers
Tremendous interview. Not that surprising I guess considering your both tremendous story tellers.
Blushing. Thanks.
Devil’s Rejects is a good movie
Love your channel! #makegreathorrorfilms !
love art!
love yourself lol
Glad you're enjoying it!
cheers!
If the producers wanted something different, and Rob Zombie’s name on it, maybe if Rob would’ve approached Halloween as a prequel, then maybe he would’ve had the chance to have the Part 2 he wanted.
But I’m just speculating “what if” when it comes to the film industry.
i must be the one who thinks 1000corpses is way better than devils rejects
8:45 I feel the artist should make the art they want to make, or fans would complain it seem forced, not real, whatever. I'd rather a musician take a decade to put out one real solid album than to pump out an album or two every year and it sound like the Backstreet boys. Although I'd be open for a Zombie remix of Backstreet songs (Sarcasm???)
I agree.
Well, if Justin Bieber’s “Baby” juxtaposed with Slipknot’s “Psychosocial”, why not?
Its hilarious to hear that halloween was proposed to him ( i think he did a fantastic job ) i wouldnt have chose anyone else to have remade it , the newest sequel 2018 sucks , thought it felt uninspired and unoriginal. I love rob zombies metal myers
Halloween Rob Zombie's Halloween bring Harley back to big screen
I really want his hat.
I could never find out what is rob zombie hertiage
sTILL The BesT HALLOWEEN (2007)
Weinstein quite a character??
I truly think everyone knew he was a sleeze in HollyWood.
The shining as a TV series is not that bad of an idea. Zombie is way too artsy for his own good.
Glad he didnt get to make a movie purely about young Micheal. Horrible. And the reason why Halloween should have never been remade. We shouldnt know anything about Micheal. He is a force of nature. Its that simple. Period. I dont want to know what he hhad for breakfast when he was 12. I like Zombie. I love all his non Halloween films. Eh, minus 31.
Mick Garris and Rob Zombie are such an interesting combination of interviewer and interviewee.
Thanks!
