I think England have a good chance to win this world cup, they are playing so well, but i was shocked how they bullied the New Zealand team, made them look very ordinary, and not many teams do that do they.. Win or lose i have enjoyed this world cup, England have played so well, and so did the Japanese team too, i think Japan have put on a fantastic world cup, so well done to Japan.. Yeah would have been fantastic to see Wales also in the final, but a 3rd and 4th playoff game is great, and it will be good to see them play again, but i don't think Wales will be thinking that though lol.. It is good that the little ones are also taught what and how to proceed in case of an earthquake. In situations like this, all those tips are welcome. I noticed that the world was not very scared (at least as seen in the video) maybe because it was not the first time they were going through an earthquake. I'm glad none of you are hurt! Yeah the one we had the other day shook me up a bit, i was sitting on the sofa playing on my phone, when the sofa started to move, at first i thought my daughter Tilly had just got up and sneaked up behind me like she always does lol, but when i turned around and saw her not there i then noticed all the hanging pots and pans were clanging, plus the water tub we have in the bathroom was splashing around everywhere, so i just ran upstairs to see if Tilly was OK, but she slept through it all lol.. I am normally quite a calm person when i find myself in a dangerous situation, but i must say the one the other day did shake me up a bit.. I watched our cars outside bouncing around, I had to hang on to our porch rails ! Such an odd feeling..looked across our land, and it was like it was just "Rolling" ! Hope they are over! Geeesh, now we get the nastiest Tornados, Floods, Hot/Cold , and now have to watch out for Earthquake here ! LOL... Happy Day to you, Carl !

Hello Ned, we have not had the best of weeks actually, what with all the earthquakes kicking off, me and Tilly were on a Jeepney the other day coming home from school when it crashed into a taxi at high speed, i damaged my arm a bit with a little bruising, and Tilly hurt her chin, but apart from that we are fine, but we could have been killed, but these things happen just like the earthquakes, so yeah one always has to be prepared for anything when we leave our homes.. My thoughts recently have been with my fellow Brit that was kidnapped in your area with his wife a little while ago, taken from a beach resort at gunpoint, and dragged along the beach into a boat and taken away.. Hi DJ, there have been a lot of Earthquakes in recent days here, and the one we had the other day actually moved my sofa while i was sitting on it, and that was a bit scary, as one always worries about the roof falling down on ya.. They say one is more safer on the top floor of a building if you happen to actually be inside one during an Earthquake, as you then don't have all the above floors falling on top of ya, but of course during any Earthquake it's better to be outside any building than iside.. I was so shocked when I heard about the earthquake and then read that it was in Iligan ... my partner blurted "crikey that's where Carl the Brit. is!" I know you Carl you would have remained calm for Tilly and Yvonne but 6.8 is quite a strong one. Imagine the sofa moving while you were sitting on it ..... just glad that you are all safe. In 2008 I was in Newcastle England with my daughter and her flatmates ... we had a curry and a couple of glasses of cider. I slept soundly all night. In the morning my daughter said there had been an earthquake, 5.8 in the early hours of the morning ..... I thought she was having me on; can you believe I slept right through it!!!!! So sad to read that 7 people died and let's pray that the bigger one doesn't come. Praying you, Yvonne and Tilly and everyone in Iligan stay safe. You are all in my prayers. Big hug for Tilly ...... Nit heard anything about them over here. No doubt my mate has as he has a house over there and his wife flies back and forth all the time. I don't know if she is across there at the moment or not. Stay safe there Carl and your family. It must have been a good shake if it moved the sofa with you sitting on it, you are a big guy and it would take a few people to move it with you sitting on it. I know what you mean by not causing any more panic, there is not a huge amount you can do, but I filly understand what you are saying about getting to Tilly if there was any danger. She would be out of there in a flash, chairs flying out of the way. Lets hope it is just a lot of small earthquakes and not a big one, they can do so much damage and cost a lot of lives. Stay away from older buildings, I know that is hard to do. Just take care of yourselves.
Ha ha, yeah i am a bit bigger than the average man Bob, 250 lbs and 6ft 3 tall, so was a bit surprised when the sofa moved with me on it.. I would say when we had that earthquake that it was the biggest one i have experienced in my seven years of being here, but this one i filmed in the chapel was big enough, but i did not film the first tremors here, as most of the people had already fled from the chapel before i started filming, but it was still scary, and you can see a few people looking up at the roof and keeping an eye on it.. Tilly's teacher kept her class all together, but quite a few of the kids just ran out straight away.. Yeah all the buildings at this school are quite old, but i know what you are saying.. The school show carried on afterwards and it turned out to be very good, and i will upload some footage on here at a later date.. I am getting all ready for the Rugby worlds cup final now, so looking forward to it, and i might even get a few beers in lol.. Cheers Bob, enjoy the weekend there...

I watched our cars outside bouncing around, I had to hang on to our porch rails ! Such an odd feeling..looked across our land, and it was like it was just "Rolling" ! Hope they are over! Geeesh, now we get the nastiest Tornados, Floods, Hot/Cold , and now have to watch out for Earthquake here ! LOL... Happy Day to you, Carl !

Hello Ned, we have not had the best of weeks actually, what with all the earthquakes kicking off, me and Tilly were on a Jeepney the other day coming home from school when it crashed into a taxi at high speed, i damaged my arm a bit with a little bruising, and Tilly hurt her chin, but apart from that we are fine, but we could have been killed, but these things happen just like the earthquakes, so yeah one always has to be prepared for anything when we leave our homes.. My thoughts recently have been with my fellow Brit that was kidnapped in your area with his wife a little while ago, taken from a beach resort at gunpoint, and dragged along the beach into a boat and taken away.. Hiya Mark, yeah it is a bit of a weird feeling when these earthquakes kick off, the big one i experienced the other day really spooked me up, i was sitting on the sofa playing on my phone when the sofa started to move, i at first thought it was Tilly who had got up from sleeping and was trying to sneak up on me like she often does, but when i turned around not to see her, i saw all the frying pans clanging together where they hang, and also the water tub in the bathroom sploshing all over the place, so i just run upstairs to see if Tilly was OK and she was fast asleep lol.. Hi DJ, there have been a lot of Earthquakes in recent days here, and the one we had the other day actually moved my sofa while i was sitting on it, and that was a bit scary, as one always worries about the roof falling down on ya.. They say one is more safer on the top floor of a building if you happen to actually be inside one during an Earthquake, as you then don't have all the above floors falling on top of ya, but of course during any Earthquake it's better to be outside any building than iside.. I was so shocked when I heard about the earthquake and then read that it was in Iligan ... my partner blurted "crikey that's where Carl the Brit. is!" I know you Carl you would have remained calm for Tilly and Yvonne but 6.8 is quite a strong one. Imagine the sofa moving while you were sitting on it ..... just glad that you are all safe. In 2008 I was in Newcastle England with my daughter and her flatmates ... we had a curry and a couple of glasses of cider. I slept soundly all night. In the morning my daughter said there had been an earthquake, 5.8 in the early hours of the morning ..... I thought she was having me on; can you believe I slept right through it!!!!! So sad to read that 7 people died and let's pray that the bigger one doesn't come. Praying you, Yvonne and Tilly and everyone in Iligan stay safe. You are all in my prayers. Big hug for Tilly ...... Yeah there have been quite a few earthquakes around here recently, but the one we had the other day was much worst than this one, but this one was still a big worry especially when this chapel was filled with children.. Nit heard anything about them over here. No doubt my mate has as he has a house over there and his wife flies back and forth all the time. I don't know if she is across there at the moment or not. Stay safe there Carl and your family. It must have been a good shake if it moved the sofa with you sitting on it, you are a big guy and it would take a few people to move it with you sitting on it. I know what you mean by not causing any more panic, there is not a huge amount you can do, but I filly understand what you are saying about getting to Tilly if there was any danger. She would be out of there in a flash, chairs flying out of the way. Lets hope it is just a lot of small earthquakes and not a big one, they can do so much damage and cost a lot of lives. Stay away from older buildings, I know that is hard to do. Just take care of yourselves.
Ha ha, yeah i am a bit bigger than the average man Bob, 250 lbs and 6ft 3 tall, so was a bit surprised when the sofa moved with me on it.. I would say when we had that earthquake that it was the biggest one i have experienced in my seven years of being here, but this one i filmed in the chapel was big enough, but i did not film the first tremors here, as most of the people had already fled from the chapel before i started filming, but it was still scary, and you can see a few people looking up at the roof and keeping an eye on it.. Tilly's teacher kept her class all together, but quite a few of the kids just ran out straight away.. Yeah all the buildings at this school are quite old, but i know what you are saying.. The school show carried on afterwards and it turned out to be very good, and i will upload some footage on here at a later date.. I am getting all ready for the Rugby worlds cup final now, so looking forward to it, and i might even get a few beers in lol.. Cheers Bob, enjoy the weekend there...

Always much safer to be outside when an earthquake happens, and many had already left the chapel by the time i started to film here, and if the tremors had continued am sure everyone would have soon got outside, but with so many children here it was very important for the parents not to panic, as a stampede could have happened and people would have got hurt..
