All in all a decent kit, that looks sooo much better than the stock tail, but I would have your dealer install it for you unless your at least somewhat handy with tools. The other thing I should mention is that the kit states it's for closed course competition only (i.e. not DOT approved and for the street), which I don't recall the website making a mention of. Hopefully I don't run into any issues with the good ol boys in blue this summer. Once again, great video.
I wish I would have seen this before I bought my piece of crap hotbodies kit. If you get what you pay for, that damn kit should be free. It wouldn't hold the rear turn signals firmly no matter how much I tightened them, and then the flimsy plastic bracket cracked the 1st day I rode it.
Honestly dont touch the HotBodies one. its utter trash. Im now in the process of ordering the yoshi unit to replace the cheap, now broken Hot Bodies shit that broke off my bike
I will say it is not the first time I have heard that. I see how you could get that. I broke my nose when I was a kid and never knew it till a doctor told me I did in 2011 from a CT scan. Hard to belive I know but true, I just kept playing I guess. Thats why I sound like that. It is anoying for me too! Thanks for watching!
I guess you get what you pay for..but on a budget for me, 120-130 is a bit steep for the yosh kit. I still might try and do a custom job without paying too much.
I have a feeling the kit was meant for the 2011 and it sort of works with the 2012 & 2013. I ended up having to weld the turn signal brackets, as the single bolt design (which is also used to attach the license plate) makes it fairly easy for the turn signals to move no matter how much you tighten the bolts. The bolts for to attach to the undertail bracket were also too short and I had to find similar ones that we a bit longer.
Thank you for the video, it's one of the best review/install videos I've come across. Great camera work and well explained. The hot gal installing the hotbodies kit almost sold me (it wouldn't be the first time a cute gals has sucked me into buying something), but after watching this video I went with the yoshimura kit and used your video instead of the instructions for the most part. I have a 2013 cbr250r and had a couple of the same problems.
I watched your other video review on your CBR 250R. Still debating on which color to get. I like both the Tri-Tone color and the Red & silver. I would like to thank you for your extensive review and installation instructions here. It seems a bit overwhelming and involved for something small. As you mentioned, the instructions doesn't cover everything but wondering if the instructions are pics of the CBR 250? Looking forward to future videos! How about a review & install of frame sliders next? :)
Raymond, more like Kermit The Frog! :P
Thanks
4:50 Kermit learns word of the day. (DI-A-GO-NAL)... DIAGONAL!
That is so funny. For real if you can’t laugh at your self then what are you doing in life.

Do you still have the Hotbodies Kit? If so, would you be willing to sell it.
So sorry no

I have the 2012 red and silver, it shines very nice when the sun hits it. The tri-color looks good, but I would go with the red and silver honestly.
Thanks

i'll take it lol

A decade ago since I commented!
do i need to put the brackets on or can i leave them off if i want to get an intergraded tail light?
I'm not sure. I bet you can leave them off.
