I've used acrylic paint (the super cheap stuff from WalMart) to put designs on baby onesies. It held up great in the wash.

Oh and there's always fabric medium/textile medium to make fabric paint from acrylic paint. (Make sure it's not the heat set kind.) You can mix your acrylic color, then add it only to part. So you'd have matching paint for fabric and on the image. The colors might be slightly different due to the texture that way but worth testing.
For washing I don't have much experience with this type of transfer but my best advice would be to try to avoid washing as much as possible and maybe hand-wash only the underarms or spot clean if you can. Avoid friction/rubbing on the transfer or paint if wet. And lay flat on a dry towel with the image facing up. When it's less heavy/wet, you can hang dry it. You'd also want to avoid stretching the paint and I imagine it is the same for the transfer.

@@craftingwithcasca For sure! The more I think about it the fabric medium + acrylic might actually be useful for the transfer part too since it makes it more able to bend/slightly elastic. Testing is probably important.
I have the same problems with the hairbands. It’s very annoying! Love the bobbin chicken! It’s always great when it works!
That’s a fun look. If I were you I would check out other brands of fabric paint. I’ve never had one that said to iron. Save some scraps and try different paints. I saw some fabric paint pens in the shops haven’t tried them but they look interesting. There’s even an iron on crayon paint. I’m sure you will figure something out that will work.
Skinny jeans are an evil evil thing. I think I wore some skinnyish jeans in the early 80’s. I do have some memories of buying one of the kids jeans similar to your pants. It was along time ago.

I loved the look of butterfly hair clips but never got on with them. My hair has always been super fine and it looked a bit weird on me lol.

I hate the elasticated waists on hoodies too. They ride up like you said and make my middle cold.
Oh yes I clearly remember these outfits and pants from 20 years ago! It looks really good on you! To give more room for the butt, I think you need to scoop out the back crotch seam. The pattern looked like it had a too straight line, and the footage confirmed it. This might feel counter intuitive, but it's what you need I think. The width you remove is added on( plus maybe extra) to the side seam. Other than that it looks really good 😊
Oh, and almost all knit fabric starts it's life as a tube, that's how you make knit fabric! Like a giant stocking, later it's cut open along one edge, or not.

I remember having a hoodie that wasn't elasticated at the bottom! I had forgotten about it before you mentioned it, but I remember it now, it was so comfy! I think there might have been a drawstring in it originally with toggles or something, but I always get rid of those sorts of things.
Someone else mentioned a drawstring and I think mine might have had one too but same as you, I took it out. I'm not going to alter this one to put in a drawstring coz I find them annoying on coats.
Ah bringing back memories! I had a bunch of friends who had this silhouette and the way you put on the hood is familiar lol. For some reason I can't picture the bottom of these types of hoodies, but possibly a little later, many had folded over hems and drawstrings in the bottoms? Not sure if they were similar?
Now I'm remembering dramatic, black trench coats with similar top stitching.
I totally remember hoodies and trenchcoats with drawstrings. I had an ankle length trenchcoat when I moved more into the goth scene.
You could try using tulip puffy paint and stippling it. It works on spandex and i didn't need to iron it so might work on the transfer.
