Came back after years of not having watched Cinema Snob. Man, ya boy's still got it.
Same, dude.
I’m living for the day Snob covers Subspecies
Didn’t Phelous’ wife already cover those?
The Torch puppet was a real piece of work, it had an actual functional flame thrower that could blast fire out several feet. Ah for the days of practical effects!
Honestly they did beautiful work with the first few movies between the stop motion, camera angles and practical effects. Such a low budget series but they put some good work in. B low budget film yeah but fun and well done
I mean, so did Tom Servo at one point.
they had to make multiple torch puppets at diffetent scales too, too expensive to operate probably, for Full Moon to show him now
7:38- The Nostalgia Critic showcased this commercial in his first commercials episode, where he made up that freaking table hotline.
11:19- Torch looks like if Darth Vader WAS Emperor Zerg.
16:49- I will NEVER get tired of you saying that line.
apparently they are going to do a direct sequel to this one at the end of this year, it is a solo leech woman spin-off picking up from when she was put into the furnace
Can wait for you to review Puppet Master 3, my favorite in the series
I think the little boy flogging the GI JOE was the scariest part. I want to know more about him and what was going on there! Thanks for the review.
Where were the parents ?
17:22 The return of Wilkins! Where can I buy that coffee so I don't incur his wrath?
16:50 "Bro! Bro! Bro! Bro! Do you Mind? Bro!"
I don't know why, but that part was my favorite gag!
7:15 Also, always a treat to see Wilkin's Coffee make an appearance!
This was the first Puppet Master movie I ever saw, and it's still my favorite.
Same and I loved it. Then I saw the original, it was terrible
Me too... I swear I was old enough to like see all the great second movies when they came out... aliens, terminator 2, Indiana Jones and the temple of doom, jewel of the Nile, police academy 2, Friday the 13th part 2, etc etc... then went back when I got older to see the firsts.. lol
Me too!
Wow I haven't seen a continuation that smooth since the original Halloween 2!
I watched this movie when I was a kid just after it came out on VHS and was one of the first horror films I watched. Sure I watched it WAY too young but I loved it.
the third one (or whatever the nazi one was) is legit good, which is a rare occurrence in this series.
actually, canonically the the entire series is just kind of all over the place. the puppets are evil in the present yet they were good in the past then kinda fall inbetween somewhere. last one i saw had corey fieldman so that kinda narrows where the series went
This came out the same year as Darkman. Also notice how Michael dresses like MacGyver.
Honestly it feels like the people behind the movie hated the first one. Because all of the old characters were done dirty. The main girl who befriended the puppets were killed by them. The main psyche was labeled insane and locked away. While the puppet master is now evil from the kind old man that he was show as in the first one.
I always wondered why they turned bad from last movie....I wanted to say in my head canon maybe they need the brain fluid juices and without it, they went bad....But I only dream 😂
@@eddihurta7173 great movie, just out of continuity; then again, so was Curse of the Puppet Master, and the recent reboot...as was the god-awful Sci-Fi channel Puppet Master Vs Demonic Toys
And it seems like the rest of the sequels ignore this one
Fun synchronicity: Mr. Sardonicus and Toulon in Puppet Master 3 are both played by Guy Rolfe.
Even more fun is Guy Rolfe is also the dollmaker in Dolls (1987) so already had some practice.
Sitting with my infant daughter, I fell asleep watching the first PM, and awoke to the second, assuming I was still watching 1. This truly is the same flick.
I have a soft spot for this series...even cosplayed the Blade puppet for a convention. Most of the human stuff is boring, I just really love the puppets and they make the rest worth sitting through for me.
Everyone vote on Amityville 2. That movie needs more spotlight
1983 in film can't happen soon enough ❤
Puppet pin head is my favorite 😊
Same here
This is my favorite full moon series and quite possibly one of my favorite poor movie series of all time
Great review. I feel the Snob is at his best when reviewing old classic horror films.
Agree.
If you don't mind me saying this, but Puppet Master 2 is one of my all time favorite horror movies along with the first Puppet Master movie! So this review is perfect! 🤩😁😉👍
Yes yes yes 😊 love puppet master movies thank you 🙏
I’ve never watched a Puppet Master movie, but they look entertaining
That’s me towards every horror movie. Never watched one but they looks great
The earlier ones are definitely better than the later ones.
Catch the first 3, then definitely skip until the very latest one (the gore isn't bad)
9:21 Wow, even Fantom Kiler is there and a tomographic scan of Lemongrab at 15:44.
Yes I love when you do reviews on these cheesy 80's flicks! I do hope you get to eventually do Amityville Part 2 because that was all kinds of messed up!
1983 in film is gonna rock!
19:25 Was this before "Tales from the Crypt" ? Because John Cassir is not even trying to do a different voice? Lol
Oh hell yeah! Another Brad review!
Missed the stage hand catching the lamp at 18:09. Also Andre seems perfectly of with Leach Woman's death after what we learned about her in part 3. It makes him thinking that his wife was reincarnated strange too.
I remember watching a Puppet Master marathon on SciFi way back in the day. Called up a friend and we watched it over the phone together. Good times.
Love Brad’s content and reviews
Can't wait for Toulon's Revenge. By far the best of the series
OMG i have been trying to remember the name of that movie "Freaked" for years lol i used to love that movie when i was young but could never remember what it was called
12:48
*magic man does Pyrokinesis to the stage, shock and awe style*
Cinema Snob: Pfft! Always a heckler. 🤣
It's crazy how this just so happens to upload right after I finished watching Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich on Tubi
Did anyone notice the random hand that catches the lamp at 18:09 lol
Hahaha, which means they were allowed to film there but not to break anything. I guess Brad didn't even notice it.
@@MandleRoss they couldn’t get a $10 lamp to break? Haha
@@hailhydra2296 Was probably and on-set decision for her to knock the table over and they were set up to film it. On a movie set time is often more important than money.
Can't wait for the 90s-tastic computer nerd pals around with the puppets and has a laser fight. Then demons show up.
Out of all the puppet master movies i've never seen, this is one of them.
brad jones should review Castle Freak, The Ginger Breadman and Evil Bong
Bain voice: you merely adopted the puppet I was born beside them, molded with them, I didn't know another human until i was almost a man
5:09 "The plot is ludicrous. You can guess what happened next." "He makes her tea?"
Full Moon has been gaining new fans ever since it's been on Tubi
Such an underrated franchise
Amazing
I didn't even realize that we had a Patreon poll for this 😂
I am glad your channel exist.
Before I really got into horror movies in high school, my nephew (same age as me, my brother is quite a bit older) and I used to spend the weekends at each others houses as kids. We'd go to local video stores, and rent horror movies. Since the big name titles were always gone, we got a lot of stuff like this, with the Puppet Master series being a favorite. So I'm very nostalgic for the series.
I watched several of these Full Moon films back when hulu still had a free-with-ads option. My favourite of all these is Meridian because it actually felt like they were doing everything they could to make a good film.
Ooh nice! A James and Bobby purify reference!
Been waiting for this one! 😻
"We need a Fievel Goes West of Leprechaun films"
Actually, Leprechaun in the old west sounds awesome.
O god a idea for a leprechaun movie would b a wild west one
And sadly Camille doesn’t appear in any more movies, but the excellent comics continue her story and connect all the movies together in a satisfying way
I watched them all when I was younger and honestly don't remember a blooding thing about these movies!
Monday got better as soon as I saw the notification ❤❤
Thanks for taking the time to keep us entertained Brad :) Even after so many years .
Always takes me off my daily stresses.
Killer HQ Bane voice impersonation
My uncle rented this for my family to watch one weekend. I was freaked out for years a puppet was going to get my brain juices. Watched as a teen, laugh at the giant cable attached to Blade.
I could see this being turned into a series or anthology movie were the stories tie together by the puppets and maybe a character bumps into another
This is the sequel and the third one of the franchise that I'm aware of because I remember these films on tape back in the day when I was young, the good old days, cool review as always Snob 💯
1983 in film is in the works good to know.
I almost get a bit of Torgo vibe from those farmers. As if he was a direct descendant from them. Porno plumber will get some tail by the end of the feature come hell or high water.
Every movie could always use more Buck Flowers in it… also a peak of the franchise
Styrofoam grave was hilarious XD
Always great to see youre still going strong after all these years! keep up the good work!! 👍
Halloween 1998, while waiting to leave for a KISS concert (Psycho Circus tour, Dodgers Stadium, we had front row center tickets), 8 year old me caught a Puppet Master marathon on Sci-Fi (I believe it was). Tunneler's attack scene absolutely traumatized me, stuck with me for years, couldn't even look at toys from the series at the local collectible show. Now though, love the series. Weird isn't it?
Brads mustache went mostly grey. Just notice. Scary, then you remember him not only brown haired, but haired. Man, I don't wanna go old and die. Why can stupid Snob stay always young ?
Had to look it up but there's a lot of these movies. Full Moon was built on these movies then came the Evil Bong franchise.
9:34 Holy crap, I CAN hear Bane in this guy! I wonder if he'll tell them they need his permission to die.
Favorite is Part IV for me, but this was the first one I saw, and I loved it :)
Funny you should mention it being like a toy commercial, back in the day full moon released many action figures especially of the puppet master figures. The two I have are two of my favorite action figures I own being a six shooter with good guns and a golden torch. Even have the boxes for em. You can get some of the figures at decent prices even today. I’ll probably get more someday as the puppet master movies are some of my favorites. Well, some of them are, a few aren’t that good
This was the first film in the series that I saw. I had a crush on Charlie Spradling after seeing this and "Meridian" in the same year.
"Go rub one out with neosporin and let us be!"
I'm using that with anybody who annoys me from now on.
7:45 Whoa. I live near that Area Code, but I have no memory of this commercial. Whatever it advertised.
We really need a Freaked episode. It's time.
Brain fluid. Murky mushy brain fluid.
I wanted so bad to see you review Amityville 2. Your review of the first one is one of my favorites.
The dummy people never fail to send a chill up my spine
Same!
I love Nina Talbot! She was great in Hogans Heroes.
I was impressed with the people at Action Lab Comics that did a Puppet Master series that actually tried to bring all of the different flicks into some kind of cohesion. Not perfect, but at least SOMEBODY tried. And then, after giving several Full Moon series that treatment, Charles Band swiped the rights rug out from under them and started Full Moon Comix. Which failed miserably. I've always felt like he was secretly glad that the pandemic hit so he would have an excuse not to release the Subspecies book they were working on.
Cool
Didn't a Nazi guy create the puppets if I remember right, please let me know
Ah. Good old Wilkins Coffee for Puppet Master II.
5:05 “Thanks Porno Plummer!” SO, this is where”Plumbers Don't Wear Ties” got its Inspirations from!😋
So lately, been wonderin', when you would get to this sequel.
Kinda reminded me of Tourist Trap
CS: how do you feel about the impending release of the Tinto Brass cut of *Caligula?*
I would like to see the Puppets terrorize the Elf on a shelf.
Torch has always been my favorite. His design is awesome with the helmet and the teeth and the uniform. Kick ass!
Blade, hands down, for me....followed by Jester
Your videos are great. Have you considered doing a review of the slasher film Graduation Day from 1981?
Snob when are you gonna review more of the Little Cars movies? Holy shit dude I DIED laughing earlier 😂😂😂
6:28 Oh come on! You can't even say Shot On Shitteo now?!?! :(
Was the Bane from Harley Quinn anime series voice intentional? If so, props to you, it was spot on!
Everyone gangsta until Claude Rains walks in
So the Puppet Master franchise has connections to A Talking Cat?!?
So Brad trying his Bane from Harley Quinn cartoon voice huh...
It's legit not bad lol 13:50
The psychic had to ask for directions because ghosts aren’t the best with special awareness. They’re being who can walk through walls, you think they care if certain roads exists or not?!
Yep sleep away camp were there play a lot of will it fit
