I would use a flat blade screw driver with a thin cloth wrapped around the blade area. This should help in preventing scratches to the dash. If possible try to use your hands to remove the dash. That provides the best non scratch solution
thanks so much, sir!! I had a problem with my audio. when I played my music *either from AUX or from radio*, the sound came and went away. I predicted probably some wires behind it got loose. at least now I know how to open and check what's going on behind the device. 😆
it wasn't fixed. i dont think it came from that part. It's probably the speaker. I don't know. And I lost one of my screws. it dropped behind the radio. LOL. well, worth to try
Mine is also a stick, the only difference is that there is no clip to remove the piece around the auto shifter like in this video. I just pop it loose with my hand and leave it in place with the shifter skirt, just push it to the side. Other than that identicle as far as I have seen.
If it is the same generation of Corolla then the factory stereo plug should be able to fit. Does the touch screen have Bluetooth? Navagation? That stuff is usally separate from the stereo and will also have to be removed from the original touch screen vehicle and brought over to the other Corolla. Here is the other thing the touch screen might be a premium system and uses an external factory amplifier. So if you were to install it into a Corolla with out a premium system you would hardly hear any sound. So you can install it but I would go over these problems before attempting
Anyone with any info what the blue plug that is tied to the 12 power outlet is for? Its not plugged into anything in this video and also is not in my vehicle? If it is power I would love to add usb chargers but I have no clue what its for.
My air bag light is on in the dash. The airbag off light is on near the aux plug in and my passenger seatbelt light is flashing can anyone help there. The video helped alot thanks.
Check the passenger seat wiring harness, underneath the seat. Unplug the seat and check the electrical pins for corrosion. Sometime just a dirty connection there will cause that problem.
Thank you sir, you just helped me reclaim 20 dollars I made the mistake of sliding through the panels!
Thanks for the video. It helped me replace the Starter Relay which is behind the radio.
Great vid, anyone know if you keep the steering wheel controls after you install an aftermarket stereo?

You are on the right track. A bad speaker will cause all audio to fade in and out.
I am having problems with my AUX port also.. Is there something we can use as a consumer for the panel removal tool?
I removed it with my hands no problem

I am having problems with my AUX port, if I wanted to remove it, what parts do I have to take off?
I'm glad I could help, thank you for the post

Its not really necessary to remove the aux port part.

Does anyone know if the factory Bluetooth stereo from a 2013 Corolla is a direct fit on a 2011 Corolla without the Bluetooth?
Muy buena esplicacion
You won't be able to retain the steering wheel controls, you will need to purchase steering wheel control module
If possible install a 2013 corrolla S touch screen radio to a 2010 corrolla S?
