I've watched a lot of different TH-camr's declutter different areas of their homes, but yours has to be my favorite because you're so real and genuine. Please don't ever change.
I tried on every single pair of jeans and shorts I own. Over 100 pants and shorts. Also all my bras. I have lost 93 pounds and have went from a 22 down to a 12. I just kept hanging on to stuff out of fear I would get big again. It was so freeing to let stuff go. After I did that I have moved on to other areas. The garage is next!
I just moved a 10x20 storage unit into a 1 bedroom. I am still unpacking after almost 2 months . I am disabled so it's taking me a long time. Plus the mental and emotional getting rid of stuff that you spent your hard earned money on plus the memories created with some of the stuff. I just have to try to do a little a day to get it done. Still have to purge more. I know I can't take it with in the end, so it's time to down size it.
I hear you on the scrapbook supplies...I was an avid scrapbook er from 1997 to 2009 when my son was diagnosed with leukemia. After he passed away, I found it very hard to even look at past photos, let alone scrapbook. During that same time my cousin and his wife divorced, and she was my scrapbooking buddy...maybe I'll pick it up again someday. Until then, I still make handmade cards.
I will be cleaning things out this August as I am getting a new mattress, a bed in a box. My big project for the early Fall is finally replacing my old carpet with new wood look like flooring. So excited.
Your office space is laarger than my master bedroom!! I know how hard it is to get rid of stuff. I can't get rid of my scrapbookiing stuff either. I know when I retire I will start up again.
Wow! Kudos to you! I'm in the middle of doing my bedroom and am having a really hard time letting go of things. Im definitely failing at the OHIO method (only handle it once) lol. I toss things from place to place and then in a pile in the corner of my room, where it has been for like two weeks now. I keep telling myself at least I started. God bless you! Something that has really helped me minimize my clutter collection - before I buy something, I think “what would you DO with this” so if it’s “cute” or whatever but doesn’t actually DO or GO anywhere, I just say “oooo, aahhhh” and move on. Like the coke bottle, great example. If someone said “what are you going to DO with that?” you’d be like …… sit it on a shelf? Like, no. Don’t need it 😂

I love the room you have to your self! And great idea to get a trailer to just haul the stuff away. The town I live in provides dump bins every spring and fall and we totally take advantage of it. Amazing what accumulates over time. Great video and yes it feels so good to get rid of stuff and clear your mind. Just to do it is hard but once it is done it feels so good. 🥰
Hi Jen, great video. I tried to make Air Fryer Chis and they just never turned out good. I love the idea of False Eyelashes. They were a big fashion statement in the 1960’s I was a pre-teen so I wasn’t allowed to wear make up. By the time my Mom would let me wear makeup it was 1970 and False Eye Lashes were out of style and girls were using mascara. I just organized my home office lately. I bought a really cool desk lamp from Lowe’s. Originally I thought about getting rid of the desk and making that room a guest room and new room for future cats. I recently got a new printer that prints from my iPhone or iPad. I decided I really love my desk and decided to keep it. So I am in love with my Home Office again. Love you all and your videos.❤️

It’s amazing how we’ve become a society of “Stuff”. I’m decluttering too. The more stuff, it’s more work and stress. I’m a couponer so I’m in the process of getting ready for our subdivisions May garage sale and donations to community organizations.
What’s really funny we’re getting a dumpster too! I have a lot of Amazon boxes and other crap filling the garage it has to go! Hurricane season starts June 1 and it’s just time to go through stuff and get rid of it.
I need to go through all my pictures and declutter them and print them to get back into scrapbooking. I was an avid scrapbooker back in 04/05 to probably around 13 or so. Then in 16 I got busy and totally stopped. Though I was going and doing a lot I just needed sat down to print those pictures, however, I have all my memorabilia from those events. During my scrapbooking years I’d go to a lot of crops. I eventually want to get back.
When I was in my 40's I did lots of scrapbooking, cross stitch and knitting. Now that I'm in my 50's, my eyes have changed so much that I can not do those things any longer, so I have decluttered all that stuff, unfortunately. Something to consider.

I prefer donating to somewhere other than Goodwill; huge amounts end up in the bins (and landfill), plus CEO's salary is half million $ a year, way more than other places.
It’s identity clutter, fantasy self etc. I’m not ready to get rid of the scrapbooking stuff either, but i don’t see myself ever really doing it again, like I almost feel like it was a phase.

Not sure if you like black tea but at Starbucks I get the black tea no extra water sugar free vanilla and a splash of half and half iced. It's so good and lower in calories and sugar.

Jen, I’m motivated quite often. Just yesterday I tossed some pots and pans that I rarely use. I donated a huge bag of baking pans to Goodwill. It seems like although tons of stuff is going, I still don’t have much room. Of course it didn’t help seeing your office, which is about the size of my entire house😄. I have no excuse though, my children are grown, and I’m retired. I’ll just keep at it!
I have attempted to start decluttering. So far it ended in 20 bags of my son's clothes being donated. All that didn't fit. Now I feel anxiety every time he goes shopping without me

I used to scrapbook with my coworker I enjoyed, I wss basic but it was fun. Made my friends a wedding album.

We recently recarpeted our entire upstairs. We should have just moved! It was a huge huge nightmare.
