Hey, thanks! I disassembled my mouse on a whim to polish the corroded wheel and then when I needed to put everything back I wasn't sure what to do with one of the springs and you explained it perfectly. Thank you!!
OMG!!! This saved me I thought I would never put the wheel back together. I was cleaning my mouse and for the life of me could not put it back together. THANK YOU!!!!!
Ralph Theart Haha, no problem, when i did this video it was a miracle that i found out how to put it back together. Thanks for the feedback, make sure to like and subscribe if i helped you out :D
I got the G502 from a colleague for 5€ because the mouse wheel wasn't working well enough for him. Disassembled it, cleaned it up and fucked up with the springs. Thank you for your video man!
I had corrosion on my mouse wheel after a good 5 years of use, to the point it would irritate my finger when using the wheel. So I had to take it out and sand it smooth. Thanks to your really nicely explained video I don't have to buy a new mouse just because of a rusty mouse wheel. I really appreciate your presentation and showing the progress at each step. Thank you very much for taking your time to shoot, cut and post this video for all of us to use!
I thought thas was a bit of incredible teaching. I love how you even simulated the action before actually doing it, you really think well from another person's perspective. You'd make a fine professional teacher!
So happy I found your video. By the time I got to reassembly of the mouse, I had forgotten exactly how those two springs fit. Love my g502 a little less now that I've had to open the thing, lol.
Thank you! Had been sitting with this for over an hour, and it turns out that the spring @ 6:40 was out of alignment. It probably jumped out while I was trying to clean the scroll wheel and the 2 white "bars" jumped out.
Very good video, had to clean my mouse wheel and this helped a lot for referencing what some of the springs originally looked like during the re-assembly.
Thank you so much! My mouse wheel free spin mode was getting jammed for some reason. Took apart the whole mouse and found out that some crap had collected in the mouse wheel bay. Blew it out with the air compressor, but I didn't pay attention to the way the springs for the mode toggle button went in and I ended up bumping them out of alignment. I couldn't figure out how to get the damn thing back together and then I found your video which showed me exactly what I needed. You have my endless thanks, without this video, I'd still be stuck in the garage screwing around with tiny ass little springs. I don't know why this video has so many dislikes, it showed me exactly what I needed. You've earned a like and sub!
how about the scroll wheel's optical is not responding anymore? does that means there is a problem on the optical pins on the pcb? I just replaced the right and left mouse buttons but after reassembling it back, the scroll wheel's optical is not responding anymore
my middle click is not working properly, the left scroll and right scroll not working at all, when i open the mouse i need to push it really hard for left and right scroll switch, but i have no idea how the middle click work, it only has 2 small springs
I don't know what I did but the second spring is now too loose, so it doesn't really change "modes" as well anymore. I'm not too eager to take apart my mouse again after just doing it yesterday, but at least I know how to reassemble it should I decide to fix the spring now!

@@fascinx6311 Hi mate, i've got the same wheel click problem you had before! Can I ask how did you fix it? I've disassemled and assembled the mouse different times but I don't know how to solve the click problem. I know that there's a "gold switch" beneath the scroll wheel component, all seems clear but still doesn't make the "click" sound..
@@fascinx6311 There is a two piece mechanism which interlocks itself with its teeth. If you put any of them in backwards that may cause your problem. Try to watch out for their orientation. Hope I could help
Cry for help man, went to clean and grease the wheel and i assembled it aight but scroll is completely dead now. Trying to find out what triggers scroll movement? Is it those two sensors left and right from scroll wheel?
@@hrvojebartolovic2545 Check if the sensors don't have any dirt on them. They sense the light passing through the little holes in the black plastic barrel of the mousewheel. This could be the problem I think. But if you don't manage to get it working again buy a new mousewheel assembly off of aliexpress.
It's unnecessary to take it out, if you can't reassemble that transparent plastic and the mousewheel, you shouldn't even have started disassembling the mouse in the first place. Dummy

You've saved many hours of my life. I've tried to install my wheel into the round holes instead of the square ones.
How do I remove the wheel itself from the plastic?

I have a Logitech G500S and I found a loose small spring inside. Do you know where it goes?

I opened my g502, clean it but when assemblying it back, the scroll changing doesnt work. It is stuck. Any advices?
follow the video thoroughly
@@mvdrap my weel works, the problem is assembly and align it with the scrolling changer button.
Pretty cool. By the way, it's identical for the G700.
Thank you for the information
I believe the g900 is similar as well, same module/assembly but different wheel.
However different from G700s...
Thanks mate
Can i replace the g502 hero wheel to a g900 wheel??? Is it really compatible?? Please respond

is it possible to replace the whole mechanism from G500 toG502?
Nah I don't think but the wheel is interchangable

You didn't take the wheel out of the plastic
It’s the most basic thing to put back that’s why I didn”t get that out. Just pop it back in.
