As an Indian who got their Independence in 1947 among many other countries during the post WW2 period, it's crazy that how this tragedy is not spoken about much in the mainstream. While we got freedom another group of people lost everything. Feeling guilt for one religion doesn't give you the reason to excuse them to carry out the same atrocities that they have faced throughout the history. It's as if we learned nothing from the history. It's a shame to call ourself humans when such suffering takes place anywhere in the world. It feels as if the word human is a curse on us. Much love to the Palestinian people and Jewish people who're caught up in this tragedy.❤‍🩹

This film omits pre 1948 history that accounts for what happened. To me it looks like the post war Arab world rejected partition and prevented the Muslim population from self determination. They declared war on Israel before it was even a legal State.
The Arab Muslims refused to negotiate. They refused to make room for holocaust victims fleeing post war Europe. I think at least 50 percent of the displacement history was self inflicted, based on what I've read.
And we can refer to the Syrian displacement of FIFTEEN MILLION of their own citizens due to civil war between Muslim people and ethnic minorities to understand how multiple forces create these tragedies. Arab and Islamic extremism is the atomic core of present-day conflict.

    • @Madmen604

@rotkatzeredcat4284 how can you even say that? Six million Jews were murdered throughout Europe and were subjected to ghettos and pogroms for generations. Nothing like the genocide of Jews ever happened to the Palestinians.
Gazans have been crossing the border into Israel for work. Israelis left their homes and businesses in Gaza , so Palestinians could settle there. They receive billions in aid.
They are very close to full national status. They do not want peace, they want Israel.

The Israelis, are basically dealing with a people who refuse their right to exist. This is the barrier to peace sadly and it is the ordinary people both jewish and arab who suffer and pay the price of their leaders, who make bad decisions on their behalf. Israel has its faults, but it has never denied the right to exist for the arabs.

I'm nearly 70 years old and I've studied WWII and the Bible before I was even 10 and this is the first time I'm hearing about this! It's unbelieveable that they would do to the Palistinians after what the Germans had done. It doesn't make fighting, hatred or pride right. I'm sorry when any people die for greed and this is what this is. Why would the Palistrinians have to leave their land and their homes? That's not right especially after the Jews had their homes and businesses taken away. I blames this on the UN. There was no reason that the Jews could not have assimilated and live peaceable with thier neighbors. They could have built homes, started businesses. There was nothing stopping them from doing that. Why did Palistine lose their country? So unfair!! I'm ashamed of humanity. I find this all so unbelievable. When the Bible prophesied about Israel becoming a nation again, I wonder if God knew they would act like this. Humanities history is really disturbing. OK, I'm done!!

Israel isn't God's chosen people. They are the Ashkenazi Jews the Synagogue of Satan Rev 2 9:10, & 3:9 .....in the book of John Jesus told them they are of their father the devil. Jesus also told them they are not of the seed of Abraham or they would have known Jesus Christ was the Son of God the true Messiah. They deny Christ Jesus. & Jesus Christ told them whither He goeth they can not come ( the Kingdom of God) they turned from God, & started Baal WORSHIPPING, worshipping other gods, statue's etc....they had Christ Jesus crucified by the Roman Soldiers. If you read their Talmud they Blaspheme Jesus, & His Mother Mary. They want power, & control over the entire world. It's not the NWO but the JWO....they are very evil, racist, & full of hate. Their religion Judaism one must deny Christ Jesus in order to convert. Their Noahide law's is death by decapitation Rev 20:4.
They are building the third temple for their false messiah the antichrist.
      they are Lucifer's disciples.
Yet for generations, & generation's we were lied to by tv Evangelicals, pastors etc.....that they are God's Chosen People.
If you research all tv Evangelicals, pastors, media, all presidents in the white house ( ALL PRESIDENTS), Hollywood, LGBT, etc....etc....they control. People have been asleep for generations now. But God through the Holy Spirit is waking so many up Spiritually.
Jesus Christ of Nazareth warned us of them all through the New testament. They hate Jesus, & they hate white people period. The white population is the target. They believe white people are from the devil, & needs to be destroyed. They claim God hates white people ( their god Lucifer does) but then again he hates everyone including them. But they are deceived 😥💔
      May God have mercy 😥🙏

Please don’t be offended when I ask this question. Why are you reading the bible as if it’s a historical facts? That text was written thousands and thousands of years ago and you don’t know under what circumstances those texts were written (meaning written under oppression, raids, wars, etc.). In my opinion we were brainwashed to read the bible as historical facts when it should not be. You see with your eyes what’s happening and your eyes will never deceive you.

Getting the truth of this conflict has been extremely difficult to do because of the stranglehold the wealthy American Jews have on American newspapers, magazines, TV shows and the movies. There have been hundreds of movies made in Hollywood about the Holocaust, but not a single word about the Palestinian Holocaust which they named Al Nakba.
With such one sided reporting and TV coverage is it any wonder most Americans are only now learning about the details of this seventy five year old conflict. I don't call it a war because for a war to happen you need both combatants to have weapons. In this situation one side has an arsenal of nuclear warheads plus billions of dollars worth of state of the art military armour, tanks, mobile howitzers, anti tank anti aircraft emplacements, rockets missiles, troop carrying vehicles, jeeps, heavy armoured vehicles, and intelligence sharing with all the most powerful nations in the west. Then on the Palestinian side you have a ragtag mob of schoolboys throwing rocks and old car tires. Some "war"

But then out of fairness, you should also watch documentaries about the 1929 Hebron massacre and many other committed by Arabs of Palestine on Jews (as well as Muslim massacres of Jews outside of Palestine). This was not a one way street at all. Jews came to Palestine, Arabs there didn't like it and tried and sometimes succeeded to murder them. I can understand why they wouldn't like a flow of immigrants coming near where they lived. But would you want to murder them all? They called other Arab states to help them do exactly that.. and they failed!! And now they claim to be victims. Yes there were horrible crimes on both sides but if Jews hadn't stopped the Arabs they would have been slaughtered. Second, it was not really Palestinian land. They were a majority in Arabs in parts of it but it was under the Ottoman empire then the British mandate. The UN tried to solve the problem by voting a partition of Palestine which Palestinian Arabs refused to accept. 76 years later, they still want to claim that land that they never had to begin with. Those who really owned land and had to leave should get financial compensation. They can't get their land back because someone lives there. You can't fix an injustice by committing another injustice. But they should get money and memorials and a chance to tell their stories. But they can't go back in time like they say they want

Because of the events of October 7, I think a lot of people like myself decided to start learning about the history of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. This is about the tenth full-scale documentary I’ve watched, from different sources, because I didn’t want just one point of view. I’ve also read a multitude of news articles from past to present. I wonder how many people, also like me, have been shocked to discover the atrocities committed by the Zionists, how they forcibly removed Arabs from their homes not because they were a threat or were there illegally, but because they wanted Jews living there, how the Hamas of today had its Jewish equivalent in the Irgun of yesteryear. The Palestinian people have been criticized for not rooting out and dealing with the extremists who oppose compromise and will seek to sabotage any effort at peace, but how have the Israelis dealt with their own? 1:07:52 - Despicable piece of humanity to have no remorse for killing the former villager and even chuckling about the “poor fellow’s” fate.

Did you consider whether the Hamas of today could have been the Arab League or Arab Liberation Organization of the 1940's? These latter groups led and mobilized the early Palestinian attacks against Jews entering the country. Jews escaping pogroms, ghettos and real genocide. The Palestinian people never experienced anything of that magnitude, not in their 900 years of occupation by Arab and Turkish empires.

To compare Palestinian land displacements to the Jewish holocaust is false equivalency. It is an error in logical thinking. Probably deliberate because you must know these events are not remotely the same, unless you are maybe not well educated or hiding under a rock. If you really desire peace , you will at least educate yourselves about the Jewish history of the Holocaust and Zionism. The displacement was first of all following an attack and war started by Palestinian /Arab forces against Israel.
And you don't have the moral high ground. Muslim countries have displaced and expelled ethnic groups for centuries and committed mass genocide. It's happening now in Sudan, Turkey. It's ongoing in Syria. Wherever there are jihadists, there is brutal conflict. What they did in Israel, they are doing in Darfur, they have done against ethnic minorities in Turkey and Iraq. They attack Kurdish and Christians . They fight Sunni against Shi'a Muslims, their own people.
If you would stop fighting and take your issues to the public and to the UN, you might get somewhere.

    • @Nitidus
      @Nitidus 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Nakba in and of itself is a propagandistic term. It does not simply discuss the events of 1948 but it already includes a distinct narrative and judgement. It is not suitable for use in school because it forces upon students students a certain way to evaluate what happened - they are not free to develop their own opinion. This does certainly NOT mean that the events of that time are generally not discussed. It's only this specific predetermined propagandistic narrative that is ruled out in schools. The term _Nakba_ represents an attempt to create a "counterweight" to the _Shoah,_ insinuating that both are equally bad. It's a simple method for the demonization of Israel and therefore antisemitic. The Holocaust was the single incomparably most horrible event in human history. That doesn't mean every other injustice was not that bad. But its abuse for stirring antisemitic hate while literally asking for a second Shoah and the extermination of all Jews is unacceptable. There were de facto no death camps where six million so-called Palestinians were gassed.
Also, the claim that it's prohibited to speak about the subject in Israel is a blatant lie. But hey, why would anyone question your narrative if it confirms what they would like to be true?
Besides it's very interesting how as always Israel is portrayed as a demonic country of censorship and indoctrination while at the same time there's not a single word about the absolutely horrible, terrifying things that are taught in Palestinian schools. The brutal, murderous ideology permanently forced upon young kids, even in official UN schools. Not a word about the nonexistent freedom of speech in Gaza & Co., where anyone who sided with Israel would simply be slaughtered in broad daylight. No, we don't talk about that, we don't talk about the fascistoid Jihadi ideology they implant until every child. We don't talk about not one Jew living in Gaza because they would be dead before sunset, just because of their religion. But instead we complain about the prohibition of an antisemitic propaganda narrative in schools in a country where Arab kids get a world class education and are represented in a democratic parliament. Amidst all this, the one problem we mention is that one topic in public schools.
Hypocrisy is one of the main characteristics of antisemitism. I acknowledge that not a single person here cares about being called out because they live in their solidified fantasy world where the roles of good and evil are already irrevocably set. Just do me one favor and recognize that I will not read your answers, so don't get (even more) mad if I don't reply.

I have been ruminating on this for the past couple of weeks. I hate to be thinking this because it goes against everything we have been taught from as far back as I can remember...but at some point, I feel like the question has to be asked why the Nazis and the Russians were both persecuting the Jews at the same time? Why European countries were so reluctant to take in Jewish refugees, and why the Nazis felt so strongly about one group that they would go so far as the holocaust. We have always been forbidden from even thinking it but the past 2 weeks has completely broken my mind on this subject and I am now wondering if they have always treated people like this, if they have always had this idea that they are the chosen people and entitled to what does not belong to them.
It is hard to square the gentle intelligent people that they were portrayed to be with the horrific bloodthirsty supremacists who are spewing vileness and hate and attacking anyone who dares say that killing children is wrong. ANY PEOPLE who do not believe killing children is wrong are an evil people. I know that there are large groups of Jewish people in America who do embody the intelligence and gentle nature that we were told was a trait of the faith, but by their own admission they are the minority and they are berated and belittled by the majority of Jews. Not only in what is now Israel, but also in the Muslim Arab countries surrounding Israel.

Forget about what the Bible says of course they know it's going to come back to them they want it to come back to them if the atrocity is good enough it'll get you into Paradise with some virgins at that. And that's pretty sick preying on people's perversions to get them to blow themselves up how ridiculous. No I'm not trivializing the conflict but what I am calling out is why they murder or martyr themselves, same thing and what do women Martyrs get? Do they get virgins too? That's a serious question. And my next question would be are they men or women and if it's women that doesn't make sense and if it's men it doesn't make sense they've had their clitorises taken off of their body at 13 years old with a piece of broken glass by some old man with dirty hands that can't see while the girl is held down by her parents and mutilated now she has no feeling in her genitalia so why would she want virgins what's in it for the female suicide bombers? Maybe a new Burka. What a prize that would be. Now when you think about it doesn't it seem more logical that religion was formulated to control people to get them to do what you want them to do and get them to not do what you don't want them to do like well all kinds of crazy shit

Oooohhhh!!! And let's not forget the 9/11 terrorist attack on America (and the ones in the prior years by the same Hajji terrorists)!

Many from the 1948 generation are still alive who can still account in great detail what occurred in the invasion of Palestine and subsequent expulsion of Arabs from the region in 1948 and 1949. The invasion of Palestine is one of the most recent examples of settler colonization. Can anyone in the world imagine what the indigenous of the Americas, Australia, Asia and others endured at the hands of colonizing Europeans when the camera didn't exist to record the atrocities committed? It must have been horrendous. The most repugnant evil human behavior ever. The indigenous wouldn't have the words to describe the evils done to them. Oh, you didn't know about that part of the story? Maybe because it was just barely touched on in this one sided documentary? Or maybe none of those events happened, committed by Arabs against Jews not just in what is now Israel, but also in the surrounding Arab countries?
But yes, the pure indigenous tribes of the Americas, prior to the arrival of The Evil Europeans!
Let's see, wars of conquest to take the lands of other tribes, genocide of other tribes, raiding other tribes for slaves for both drudge work and sex... anything else??? Oh yeah! In some tribes, human sacrifice and cannibalism!

Seriously, you believe this pod account of the 1948 events ?
      You'll believe anything !
Try looking at news from the time & reading more widely.
You might start with the offer Ben Gurion made to his Arab brothers during the inauguration ceremony for the State of Israel.
An offer that was, still is rejected.

As Nietzsche said: "Be careful when you stare into the abyss, because the abyss stares back at you..."
When you play the victim (to he clear, Israel) long enough, it eats away your soul. Then you believe you have a right to treat others as you were treated.

It seems to me that the Jewish people were doing to the Arabs what had been done to them in Europe and Russia. I didn't realize how this situation began. Furthermore, both sides should be more angry with Britain for this half solution.

This is a wonderful documentary. Thank you for making it available at no charge to all of us. As a Jew, not a Zionist, I have always resisted the "Birthright" propoganda tours offered to Jewish young people to entice them to move to Israel. My family gathered their resources & left Belarus
They bought a compound on Ben Gurian st & my great grandmother ran a rental for visitors to Jerusalem & farmers & Bedouins, etc. My grandparents were raised in this compound & learned to speak Arabic, French & at the Rothchild School for Girls, my Grandmother and her half sister learned British English. The children played in the courtyard amongst the animals. As a teen my grandfather helped bring in the olive harvest in exchange for oil. There was comraderie and everyone got along. My grandmother was married in a Bedouin wedding dress. My family left Belarus for Palestine around 1850 and lived there until about 1905 when opportunity in the US beckoned them. We were forced to sell the compound in the 1980's for the repurposing of Ben Gurion street into a "Rodeo Drive" type shopping neighborhood. We got very little for the property.
My family still has a couple of family members in Haifa. I am so ashamed of my country continuing to send arms to Israel. How we can support genocide and aparteid in this day and age saddens me greatly.

The worse part is_ still in 2023 civilized western states like Germany, UK, Sweden, France, Switzerland won't recognize this fact that "Nakba Is a Real event", still they won't recognized the sufferings and misery and the wounds Palestinian refugees had to go through, still it is forbidden to commemorate "Nakba" in Germany, UK, France. Holocaust is commemorated with ardent solemnity in those countries and we have no objection to it, but what hurts us most is, the populations of those so-called civilized countries are hardly aware of or believe in "Nakba".

The (UK) government may not recognise the Nakba but please don't think that we, the public don't. We are becoming more aware via documentaries such as this and I can assure you a lot of us are ashamed by the actions of our ancestors and guilty about the colonial actions of the British empire

It’s very telling of a people even by their choice of words, all the Jews refer to Palestinians as Arabs.
This is by design to deny the fact that Palestinians are indigenous people of the ancient holy land.
