Yo dude, thanks, I saw plenty of videos trying to fix my problem, I eventually stumbled across yours, I thought It may tell me the same stupid things those videos always told me, but this one really helped me with my problem, you've earned yourself a like, you deserve it, keep making content like this!
Thank you a million times over ;) The second method worked fantstic. I think so far windows 11 isnt it! We should not have issues with plug and play items like a phone not showing up on a brand new windows 11 device. Its totally crazy
Thank for the insight on this issue. I have been trying to figure out why my Galaxy S21 just stopped being recognized as a connected USB device after upgrading to Windows 11.
Assigning a drive letter to the usb flash drive results in a error message. Unfortunately, nothing of this helps. My PC was detecting all USB flash drives without a problem but it won't do it any longer since I came back from a 2 week holiday. I turned off power in my household. First thing that happened when I rebooted my PC was an Windows update. After that USB drives are not recognized in the Windows explorer any longer. They are in disk management though but they cannot have assigned a drive letter.
Are you by any chance using Windows 11 on a virtual machine? it's possible the usb power settings won't show up in that case. Other than that, try to troubleshoot your Windows
The usb works. My phone is charging when it's connected, but the laptop says nothing! And the phone's files aren't showing up on the laptop (for data transferring) any thoughts? Pls
I tried the fix with the USB hubs and it did not fix my Samsung Galaxy problem . However I connected via Blue Tooth (I have a USB Blue Tooth adaptor) and then it recognised the phone when I plugged in a USB cable. I hope that this is useful.

Yeah…. All my usb ports sporadically stop working for me and no “settings”solution works because well…. I can’t use a mouse or keyboard at all! Luck and restarting for hours is the only solution. I actually was able to do the first option successfully when my usb ports decided to work, but a couple of weeks later they stopped working again. I am beyond frustrated
I've been trying to set up my irig hd2 but every time I plug it into my computer it says "usb device not recognized." I have gone through all of these solutions multiple times and none have worked. Do you have any ideas?

Sorry but cannot find any "power plan" to edit, using win11 on a brand new pc, the search box on the start menu doesn't give any result for the query Should I use a different wording?
@@WindowsReport I have a question. Whenever I select power plan there is no 'USB Settings' option. Why is that? Is there anyway I could fix it? Also whenever I go to device manager, all of my drivers are up to date but when I insert any USB, a new drive appears and it's faulty. I uninstalled it and tried to re add the USB but still no luck. Also I'm positive the USB isn't faulty
Went to my bios to enable a secure boot option so that I could play valorant and then my keyboard and mouse usb stopped working as well as my controller usb. Had to change ports and they worked but if I try to go back to the ports they were in before they won’t work. Gonna have to try this

Didn't work. Still can no longer use my Drawing Tablet. I hate Microsoft, all that money I spent on my drawing tablet now I can't even use it, so angry.
i dont understand, every other usb device works except this external harddrive, AND only this harddrive doesn't work on THIS PC its a brand new pc ive had literally 4 days and it's driving me fucking CRAZY all of my old work files from my laptop are on this external and it won't even show there is a device plugged in. The driver management doesn't even show a fucking external drive being plugged in!!
I have a guitar usb link cable and it works sometimes and then it doesn't get recognized. I've tried everything and it still isn't working so I just smashed the fucking piece of junk. Sometimes I just hate how the simple things don't work, all I want to do is play my guitar and record some songs.

This video assumes that you can log into your operating system. I have no usb, mouse or keyboards, on boot up, so I cannot even log into the system, which requires a password. This and other videos like it are no help!

Quit saying that. It's an instructional video. They need to slow down. I set mine to slower and still have to pause repeatedly. If I slow it down anymore it will sound ridiculous.@@WindowsReport
What ever happened to just plugging a usb in and it works straight away, everything is so complicated and over engineered nowadays
Nah bro it doesn’t work that way anymore
i don't have the "USB settings" option on my laptop. what should i do?
I see repeated comments that USB settings is not there but no one has addressed it. Why???
My power options don't have a USB setting. Was that recently removed?

Is the problem from window 11?
Straight to the point, concise and helpful video. Sir, you earned a sub.

Ive fallen at the first hurdle - there's no 'USB power settings' on the list. Any ideas? It's actually the USB-c that's not being recognised.
Are you by any chance using Windows 11 on a virtual machine? it's possible the usb power settings won't show up in that case. Other than that, try to troubleshoot your Windows
@@WindowsReport Same here. There must be some other solution - brand new W11 machine with no issues.

adding the letter did it for me :)
I cant see usb setting

None of these options would detect a USB (micro-sd adapter) connected to the USB port at all.
All these videos assume the computer even recognizes the USB device at all, especially when it works on another PC. Someone needs to address that.

I have a issue where my usb and hdmi isn’t working from the motherboard.
Then it's a hardware issue - maybe you should check that out at a repair shop
