I still recommend a series on MLO aspects. You could do very well with it. But this video helped me out alot.
ive been stuck on this tutorial for 2 weeks writing down notes and have gotten up to step 151. 13 pages in my google docs. this is the fastest and most lightning speed paced tutorial I have ever seen in my life. I am a nerd and had to learn codewalker and sollumz from other people just to come back weeks later and still be enraged at how fast, unorganized, little talking or explaining, and overall lack of actual teaching. I had to pick this video apart at .5 speed and watch you save 20 times a second just to make 1 room after weeks. You are a god tier 3d artist but your tutorial skills could be Improved a lot. I am sad but still have a lot of work to do.

super super helpful! One question - I get an error saying 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' when i type in the main meshes name into the archetype (yours is 'ook3d_tutorial'). I've been spending hours trying to fix it :( It works if i type in the the name_shell/ _details. But when I just type in the main name it throws out the error. Would you know why? :( Also, for some reason the collision/ occlusion isn't updating on the vanilla version. The vanilla mesh is getting replaced with the modded one though which is good. Thankyou in advance!

Been at it for hours - gone through a multitude of tutorials, and the same thing happens everytime. I can’t get the YBN collisions to appear inside of codewalker in the proper location after typing its name into the Ymap. I can import all my blender files, and I can see the collisions floating under the map. But when I try to type the YBN name into the new YMAP, nothing appears. But if I type the YDR name, I can see the mesh. Anyone know why the YBN doesn’t work inside of the YMAP?

this video is really helpul me to learn how do blender works, but when you were modelling the shell and the front frame I lose time trying to learn the key binds, do u think you could explain the binds while you make the procces?
Blender has tons of resources out there for you to find the appropriate keybinds. You just need to know what command/feature you're wanting to use and google it. I've worked with blender for over 10 years now and this has been my go-to method to this day.
copy coords from codewalker of the Entity (the main building) and set them on models on blender in reverse. For ex: if the coors are X:100 Y:-100 Z:100, then in blender set: X:-100 Y:100 Z:-100 and it will be centered
@NoobViperYT They can be some reasons, 1 the mesh of the piece your trying to give texture is subdivided in more than one shape, like diferent triangles, one easy to solve is select all the faces of the mesh you want to add texture, and then in the UV editor select all, right click and unwrap, this sometimes work nice others dont and you need to adjust them manually. Other reason of that problem is that your UV coords are very expandend or the oposite. If you select all the face you are having problems with, and in the UV editor you see it gigant or like all the compressed in one point or 1 line, then select all of them, unwrap, select scale tool and play doing them bigger, do it X and Y per separate to Watch better how the texture changes. As someone else said, you have a good, quick workflow, but you need to slow it down if you expect people to learn something. I've rewatched this 4-5 times and it's more confusing than helpful. I read the Sollumz' docs and it was easier to learn that way.
Trying to do one of the gas stations and the the ymap isn't a stm, is that an issue? Another tutorial I watched his one had stm in it's name too. Mine says "long"
Is there a way to edit vanilla interiors? I'm trying to open up the office in the LSC (Vinewood)? Been struggling on this for couple days and it is my first time doing this too.

Also If you don't mind me asking, If I wanted to make it "easier" couldn't I take the shell of the building use the door on the outside for the interior like any other videos showing MLO from scratch? This might be the same thing I just asked on my original comment, but is it just as difficult to open the office door inside the vanilla MLO?
@@duckwithdrum would probably be easier to basically just make a copy of the interior and edit it that way instead of editing the vanilla thing, if you need help importing the entire interior into blender, dm on discord, ook3d

If I make an interior like this and make a ymap folder and insert the customized map and then save the ymap file and use it as SP Map mod, will it work? I have seen pers tutorials and so many tut i have notice some different. So my questions are Q1: does this apply for redm? Q2: I couldn't import redm ymap,is there a way? Q3: are we going to see redm mlo tutorials from your side ? Q4: in CX I couldn't see collision i saw bulding in world collision only. Q5: where is the occullsion in CX ? Select textures for building find the wall and add the image to it then save.Many videos on specific details for this.Any mlo wall editing video will show you the steps I'm sure ook has a video if not look around

If you look in the bottom left, you can see what he is pressing when he does stuff. I felt the same way but seeing those helped me out
