Great tips on heat embossing! I don't do it very often but absolutely LOVE how it looks. I just need to practice. The tie-die colored card was gorgeous with those colors!
Thanks for the tips on layering embossing and embossing words, that was an aha moment, like why hadn’t I thought about that. 🤔 Starting at 12:56 I watched closely to see where VersaMark was used to hold the embossing powder on the cookies and candies, and I only see the ink used. Had you used the VersaMark off camera? From my experience the actual ink dries too fast. Did I miss something? Thanks for your response and videos. I enjoyed the tips.
For a long time, before I got into stamping up products, I had these embossing markers made by marvie. They came in different sets of colors, such as pastels or classics or Victorian. You would use them to ink up your stamps and they had the kind of sticky ink that versamark has but pigmented, so you could get all of these great colors embossed on all kinds of paper without worrying about the ink drying. When I was a stamping up demo for a short period of time, I suggested to them that maybe they make similar kinds of markers only in stampin up colors to coordinate with stampin up products. I haven't heard back, and if you think this is a good idea, Wendy, maybe you could suggest it. I think you have more clout with stampin up higher ups!
