We’re staying the night on the remote Aran Islands in Ireland! Join us on our adventure to the largest Aran Island, Inis Mór! ✨
We start our trip off by catching the off-season ferry from Rossaveel to Kilronan, the largest village on Inis Mór. ⛴ Once we depart, we rent two bikes 🚲 so that we can make our way to our tiny AirBNB for the night! We spend some time getting settled before going off to explore.
Unfortunately we weren’t lucky in our search for the famous Wormhole (the tides), but we did get Dún Aonghasa all to ourselves! We end the day at the best pub on the island, Tí Joe Watty’s for fish and chips, an Irish beef burger, and Guinness. 🍺

I'm only 4:20 into the video but the Irish language can be a pain for non Irish to pronounce properly.... Inis Mór, it's said like the simple word "In" ish More not "I"nish More. I'm from the west of Ireland and it's shameful I've never been to the islands!!!
@@anewman1976 Thanks so much for helping with the pronunciation! 😅 It's definitely a little difficult to figure out. You have to go if you ever get the chance! It was one of our favorite memories from our entire trip so far.

You were so lucky with the weather. Normally it's just rain rain rain. I'm Irish but never been to the Aran Islands. Definitely want to go some day, I want to hear the people speaking Gaelic.
Yes we were! 😄 We brought all of our rain gear, fully expecting it to rain every day and I don't know if it even rained once our entire two weeks in Ireland! The Aran Islands were our favorite part of our trip. We can't wait to come back some day and explore more. ♥

I can’t believe there were no people at the ring fort. I was just there three weeks ago and there were hundreds of people also cool that you can fly your drone but I brought my John with me but it was always too rainy or windy to fly.
We were there in March! And it was 2022 so still COVID times. Could be why it was so empty. 😅 I guess we got lucky!

Wow! That's so cool! I wish we'd had a chance to talk to him more. We really enjoyed both of the ancient forts we saw on the island. The Aran Islands are such a special place. ❤
