I remember this movie! I actually really enjoyed it.
I find it interesting that you can't get a sentence for the same crime twice.
So many possible ideas for a movie!
The movie is incorrect in that. They would be two separate murders, the fact she was convicted (falsely) for the first murder does not provide her with a "get out of jail free card" should she subsequently murder that same person. Double Jeopardy applies only to a single instance of criminal activity -- so while she could not be tried again for the framed murder, she absolutely would be tried again for the subsequent murder.
@@VC-Torontohm.. always thought this was true. Now I'll have to Google to see what is truly correct. Thanks!
@@VC-Toronto Nicky Parson (husband) was dead a long time ago and his new identity is false and therefore, legally, in the eyes of law, he is dead already.
@@JannyMaha i think there are variables. but it does make for interesting story plot!
@@VC-TorontoThe guy was officially dead already. If she killed him again, she would not be charged for doing it.
Or at least that's the way I understood it.
I heard a while ago that there was a real case like this. Possibly outside the US. The husband was imprisoned for x years for murdering his wife. He was released early and found his wife was still alive. He killed her. He went back to prison and server the remainder of this sentence which was not very long at the time and was then released. Anybody know of this case or others just like it?
Why did people always take the knife or gun after a crime which is committed by other people
Ashley was a knockout back in the 90's.....😊
Ashley Judd had some hits in the 90’s!!
One of my favorite movies ever. Love your work too. Thanks. J

I was watching part of this movie and it was happened 10 years ago. Since that time I was searching this movie because I didn’t knew it’s name and I wanted to know its ending. Thanks to gods! I knew it today ❤
Thee movie came out 24 years ago.

Nice 😎
Nice movie
I like this flick. A+
"No one can get jailed for the same crime twice". Not exactly correct.
I loved that movie.....it was a Good movie! 👍
Is this the one where Tommy Lee Jones is a gruff pessimist but then comes around to support the improbable story of the protagonist?
Good film very very clever makes you think doesnt it The Double Jeopardy thing !!!!!!
It's a good movie to watch but its riddled with subtle mistakes, some of them are actually dumbfounding to me. All i can say with out spoiling it is that justice is really blind.
all that property damage she caused...shouldve gotten jailed for that
It's an enjoyable movie, as most from the 90s are. Watch it!
It's been a long time since I saw this movie.....so, he and her "friend" was involved....got her wrongly put in Prison for "killing him".....then Nick caused an explosion to "kill" Angela, who had "adopted" his son.....so he could avoid Scandal and get his Two Million dollars in Life Insurance? Angela ended up dead?
His Son was in a Boarding School.....and he tried to Bribe, The Man who could expose him? And tried to Kill him by Shooting him? And she shot Nick Dead, because he was trying to Kill her Parole Officer......Well, at least she was Safe from Nick now, and could reunite with her son.
Shame on her "so called" friend Angela!
She lost Years with her Son because of Angela and Nick!
Double Jeopardy if I remember correctly, good movie.
She’s beautiful
Love this movie so much!
I've watched this for 5 times. Great movie!
Good old 90s dramas.
If I had a wife like Ashley, I couldn’t fake anything with her
Yow! i remember this movie when i was still a kiddo.
I used to go to the movies every weekend in the 90s and watch random movies. Not sure why I quit.
I'd much rather watch a movie like this than Dune2
Great movie.
Before playing good guys like Captain Pike we cannot forget he paid his dues by playing really bad guys.
Such a good movie
Wassily Kandinsky*
I love the armchair experts in the comments section arguing about whether or not this would actually be possible 🤣
THAK YOU! for mentioning the title. I will watch for your content.
movie title plz
really
Kandinsky ffs, NOT Cardisky. (somebody already noted the women/woman title bullshit)
It's a very good movie too.
Hehe are the trains using A.I. (gone wrong) or it through supernatural?
God bless.
ok
Wrost part is her bestfriend cheating
I think the worst part for me would be being wrongfully convicted and sent to prison for a crime I didn’t commit and then being separated from my child by people I loved and trusted, not the fact that I was cheated on.
The movie is called Double Jeopardy
Ashlee Judd is a badass!
I used to simp hard for ashley judd!
Travis is a creep
We watched the trailer for this movie in government today! (09/01/2023)
I can’t pay for the movie so thanks for this :D
This movie was so good. If you haven’t seen it… green light, go for it.
Kindly requesting for the name of the movies please
Double jeopardy
70 million dollars to make this movie holy shit with that money you could’ve made easily an avengers movie lol
Nop... An Avenger movie costs 200 million dollars... But I agree that it seems a lot for a simple thriller
But the movie is nice 😊
Are you out of your mind those movies cost over 200 million not even counting the marketing budget
According to Wikipedia, Double Jeopardy's budget was 40 millions Dollars. It seems the narrator made a mistake.
Budget was 40 million
I will never to a woman like that
okay guy you can call me whatever you want but when i heard she got parole one the 1st try after just 6 years i was pissed off lol
women is plural ..woman is singular ..a little grammar lesson
where can we watch the full movie free???
What is the name of the movie?
Double Jeopardy
Insurance doesn’t pay if it’s a murder.
Yes it typically does. I worked in the business for 23 years at the head office of a multi-national life insurance company. Unless there are specific exclusions on the policy (auto racing, rock climbing, parachute jumping, dangerous job etc), all other causes of death are typically covered. Often hazardous jobs (mine workers, loggers etc) carry a additional risk premium, which affects the pricing of the policy. A two year contestability period is typical, so any deaths within two years of issue are looked into with a brighter light than others. This two year period reduces the number of suicide payouts where the insured treats the policy as a lottery ticket payoff. If someone is murdered within the two years, it would have to be determined that the murder was actually at the request of the insured/deceased for no payout to be made. (which would make it effectively a suicide) Basically any cause of death after the two year anniversary would be a covered event.
Есть фильм этот на русском языке? Спасибо
Tittle pls.
Double jeopardy
May I ask a simple thing? Why are all scenes with cars and car driving mirrored? I think that seems strange! But maybe it's just me being stupid.

What pissed me off about is movie is that a woman would only get six years for murdering her husband. On top of all that she'd be physically stronger with and knowledgeable with no teacher/mentor. Nothing. Just better. Zorro, The Count of Monty Cristo, Bobby(South Central), all needed help.
In the movie she gets help: in prison a lawyer-inmate gives her legal advice, on how to behave and what to say in front of the parole-counsel. During her time outside, she gets help all the time, she simply asks for help and calls people for help. And every fight she has she is weaker and loses all fights. So... I guess you didn't watch the movie, just the recap?
They never found his body. The prosecutor may not have gone for 1st degree murder but probably 2nd degree or even a lesser charge as difficult to prove premeditation if there is no body. Thus the shorter wait for parole.
Well I have seen this movie on TV years ago. I'd love to watch it again but for free. I'm a retiree and almost all my pension is robbed vs bills.. Born free my butt
Movie name
Double Jeopardy
This is like a female version of "The fugitive" even Tommy Lee Jones is in it . Hmmm . Very similar storyline. But this time the woman is saying "I didn't kill my husband"
The Fugitive is based on a true story. Doctor accused of killing his wife. Really happened. Fortunately he was eventually found to be innocent. You can find youtube videos about this. I would say Double Jeopardy is a female version of the The Fugitive story. The only commonality being the protagonists being innocent.
Women is plural, Woman is singular. I find it amazing that people are such dolts that they get it wrong.
So you can't mention the name of the movie anywhere? BYE!!
Double Jeopardy
He says it at the beginning lol
