Tbh, lack of resemblance between characters is a different kind of show that I really appreciate, because it shows that the directors were more focused on bringing together a good cast that bring together a picture frame
It only takes one generation to go from brown to white.. She was a granddaughter so it would make sense, depending on her other parent's race, that she ended up white. One of the only traits I got from my Mexican dad is high cheek bones, the rest of me is white AF. Mixing is a very quick process, requiring only one generation.
