    It's beautiful, and I never get tired of the details in Wright's design, but I don't think I could call this his masterpiece, simply because it is a home, and to me this is very much the vernacular of commercial and public spaces. It helps a bit when you see the house with it's surroundings and furnishings to give it scale, but even the interiors give me a very strong "Waiting to See a Specialist" vibe. When I look at the models or an elevation without the context, what I see is a city's main branch of a moderately successful regional bank. That's what it looks like to me.

    I wonder if Wright ever considered blurring the lines between exterior and interior.

    • @fzarchitecture
      @fzarchitecture  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      At his idea he did it. We cannot lost when he designed this house. Today we have better windows framing that allows do more transparent, but at that time, who had a glass house like this? Only a few. For that reason Wright is what he is, advanced to his time. Thank you for joining!

      You should check out John Lautner who trained under Wright. That was absolutely his thing.

      Guessing you were using a bit of irony here; if so I agree. My trouble with FZ is that if they say something once they're just getting started.

    so glad to see how far society has come on the concept of 'warm and inviting architecture' since this. flw i love ya but this is another one of your neo-human-sacrifice concepts. FZ Architecture, don't just go with whatever gpt-3 spits out for your voiceover, ok?

    • @fzarchitecture
      @fzarchitecture  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for your comment. The most important is when this house was build, at that time, how modern was that living concept that if you can check it, the old picture, you can see how drapery was installed to make it warmer. I think that even that restoration has bring again the magnificent house, even today looks an actual project. That's for me what it make a piece of art. Talking pgt, to be sincere with you I use to coordinate part of the video narrative. I am architect since 2003 and I learnt FLLW from long time ago and I do personally my research and explanation. But thank you for joining and hope keep enjoying next videos!

    the music is odd.
    Didn’t the narrator say the same thing about California 2x

      Odd music, eh? Maybe it’s just my playlist trying to keep things “eccentric!” As for California, maybe the narrator just couldn't get over how amazing it is!
