thank you it was most helpful seeing every example on screen. I've wanted to learn the language for so long mostly all of my friends speak twi. And my husband is from Ghana it would be a nice surprise to him if I could learn I will secretly keep studying your videos
You really could make this official, sell CDs on ebay or Amazon and do classes on here; how to ask for directions, how to order food, etc. thank you for this, my cousins always have to translate for me ,I'll surprise them soon.
Thanks for this posting. Elements of the Gullah language spoken in North or South Carolina appear to resemble Twi as well as much of what some call Jamaican patois.
I spoke some as a child but I forgot when I chose to never speak it and told my mother to speak in English if she spoke in Twi. Now I want to learn again, thanks for helping. :)
thank you for taking the time to put this together. It has been very helpful to me. I have been learning the language now for many years but still struggle to make sentences. I will continue to come back often just hear how it is pronounced.
I am very pleased to see this, i went to Ghana for three weeks to meet my in laws and managed to pick up on the language, i must say it is quite easy to grasp you just have to keep trying at every opportunity you get, looking at this video has refreshed my mind, I will one day hope i can speak fluent twi. I even brought a book and couldn't understand it, now looking at this video, it has helped me a lot. will be travelling back to Ghana in the near future, i hope the in laws will be impressed with my progress. :)
Greetings Precious Obeng. This is the best and most realistic lesson I have heard. I am going to make the time to listen and learn from you. I would be happy to contribute and learn from you. You are awesome.
This is very informative! I hope that ,I as an American, can teach my son Twi when my husband (his dad) is not always around to teach him his official language. Me daase pa! ;-)
This is the right place to start then, do let me know if you need anything else that can help you in your quest to learn this beautiful language, and thnks for watching :)
Alot of this is similar to jamaican creole.when you said intonation goes down when asking a question I realised jamaicans intonation also goes down when asking questions.also the double word thing is the same in jamaica, if someone asked "yuh chat spanish?" You could say "ah likkle likkle bit me chat" and I'm pretty sure me as a pronoun comes from twi too.also in jamaican awoh or how it'd be spelt in twi awoo means ok,but I've heard this is from igbo in nigeria. And the pronunciation is similar
I've had many Carribean friends here in London make similar remarks, language and or culture has always been syncretic, it easily shows how common and or similar we are as a human race, no matter where we may find ourselves on earth. Thanks for watching Cassells..
thank you soo much!!! you are a life saver ahaha. i am Ghanaian but m’y parents didnt teach me twi as a kid. they speak to me in both english and Twi my whole life but i never understand or understand very little of what they say. everyday kinda goes Mom: *says something in twi* me: me pa wo chaw mennte Ase3 😐 Mom: ugh! are you HUNGRY Me: OHH
That is very helpfull. Thanks a lot. I've been trying to buy a Twii elementary, but no luck. I find it exactly what I was looking for, but in video. Great work, and thank you again.
please please do you have your lessons on cd. i am really struggling to remember, but feel that on cd i can get on with work or stuff and just keep repeating the cd which i`m sure could help.

thankz am coping with twi language
Do you also speak Ga? Daabi is Ga, Dabi is Twi (the a is short in Twi). I think its used interchangeably though.
We have daabi and dabi in twi. Daabi in twi means no. And dabi in twi means "one day"
One day, as in talking in the future sense. Eg. I'm going to be rich one day
Thank you
Hey, I have some songs I need to know the right spelling of the titles: 1. Oto Mosie 2. Kae Me 3. Mawie. Thanks
