    It isn't historically accurate to say tumtum for skintone. Akans never referenced to themselves as "tumtum"nyi. It was always "bibi". Perhaps there has been modern influence from foreign lands to refer to one's self as tumtum

      @@Tu51ndBl4d3 nothing like abibinyi please remember we are learning fante and in Fante when we say Obibinyo / Bibinyi we are refering to an African not necessarily the black skin tone.
      Also is nyimpa tuntum not "tumtumnyi". Thank you.

      @@AppOdellsMULTIMEDIA What does bibi mean then and where does it come from? Africa isn't an african word and the concept of continental "africa" didn't exist back then the way it does now. So how did Fantes refer to other "black people" who weren't from from Africa?
