Gracias Ludmila!
now I see "the golden age of opera"=yes absolutely, never again.
can we imagine before more as 50 years? Thank you for this wonderful recording, greetings from Vienna
Corelli is quite an ardent Edgardo. This an exciting performance though I think the recording is a bit shrill. Still, this is a rare document of a Corelli performance. Much appreciates.

He sang Edgardo very seldom. I believe this may have actually been the only time he sang. Because of where the role lays in the passagio, it makes it very difficult for some singers especially those with a lower core to their voice. It's like walking a tight rope. Jan Peerce and Nicolai Gedda had an easier time with this role.
Or maybe, unlike Peerce, Gedda, Tucker, DiStefano, and Pavarotti, Corelli had no real sense of the bel canto style.
I dunno. He sounds pretty good to me.
@@meltzerboyThey had higher-lying voices, so this role and other "higher" roles would be easier for them by nature. He also had very little sense of bel canto style, rather more can belto. It can be both, not an either or.
Is it a 1 CD or 2CD set? Price? How do I pay, paypal?
Hello @pianowil, please send me an email to theoperarecordcollector@gmail.com indicating your country, so I can calculate the shipping cost for your location. Thank you and have a good day!
What an odd pairing. Peters sounds like an overtone when singing with Corelli.
Sounds like an overtone?
The only time I cried at an opera Edgardo's final music was so heart wrenching. Joan Sutherland and Renato Cioni. Worship Corelli but he's overkill in this role.
