      When I purchased equipment from Elite FTS, I was treated like I mattered, even though I'm some nobody. They took care of me right. In business, they're a legit honest American company. No self entitlement, they earn their customer's money.
      You must be doing something right if they're giving you a platform, because they're not fraudulent in their ways.

    When first started watching Brian’s channel I tried this and it killed me. But it made me better. I modified it by only doing giant sets with 90 seconds rest up until my top sets. I do my top set by itself with about 3 minutes rest. I really do get bored during the 3 minutes.

      Just started training this way myself. I had a few months away from the gym though, so I chopped a good %age from my 1RM's and went back to basics, starting light and building myself back up so I could get through the giant sets without crapping my form. That said, doing box jumps/jump squats immediately before barbell squats or dumbbell split squats will definitely make a man out of you.

    As someone just trying to get into shape, this style of workout has been amazing. Yeah, I have gotten newbie gains, but also built up endurance and capacity by training in this style using one of Brian's free templates. And the maxes have gone up considerably. And it is more fun and challenging to grind through the whole workout.

    Great Video and f you guys on the "air assault" comment lol. But yeah I definitely respect Brian and I've been watching his videos off and on for years. He's a high character guy and he doesn't mind sharing all of his ups and downs in life and I can respect a guy who's willing to take on new challenges and push his limits and learn from past mistakes and failures. This is what I've learned the most from him and it has been very valuable information.
    With that being said I still want to see how much weight Brian can Seal Row and how many pull ups and how many muscle ups he can do in a set. All three exercises can be done on separate videos or on the same video it doesn't really matter to me.
    But as a Brain Alsruhe fan this is a humble request that I hope he can fulfill whenever he has time. With that being said, if he isn't interested or if he refuses then I can respect his decision too.

    Yes! I find myself in a similar boat as Brian because of various physical activities that i pursue. On my squat day, for assistance or conditioning I would throw in Traditional Russian Folk Dance moves to condition quads. On an overhead press day I would do conditioning with handstand walks and calisthenics-style exercises.

    What really sucks is, I live in a city that only has commercial gyms, the type where everybody dresses pretty. If you set up equipment to tri set or do giant sets like Brian, your weights will be gone by the time you move on to the second exercise and the next and so on. Next goal, build my own gym. Does anybody have this problem too?

    • @littleratblue
      @littleratblue 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might try building some complexes. You can kick your own ass with a single dumbbell (you don't even need two of them!) Obviously, they're more conditioning, since you need to choose a lighter weight (though, you can throw your own body weight in on top of that for many movements, and go down to a single limb) but a lot of Brian's sets are conditioning and calisthenic-ish, so you only need access to the heavy lift for a short time between all your other stuff.
      Look up Forged Warrior's dumbbell complex, here on TH-cam, for example.

    I like Brian’s energy but I’m not sure the “train in a ruined physical state” approach is good. The whole point of training is improvement. The point of practice is learning - if you are dead tired, you need to understand how to deal with that in a combat situation, but training your squat isn’t a smart time to develop that knowledge.
    The guy blew an army PT test out of the water and was asked to go into counterterrorism pretty quick. I’m always skeptical of the results of genetically gifted people training. I have my own achievements. Few people can match them. Doesn’t mean you should follow my training patterns.

      @@frodothehobo9938 Agreed, I've been following similar style. Been nearly an year now, can actually sustain this method of training a bit better. No where nearly as efficient as Brian where he can hit his top sets with very little sets, but I can reach upto 75 - 80% weights with very low rest now. It took a really long time to adapt.

    • @Emevas
      @Emevas 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Brian is speaking from the perspective of a strongman. In strongman competitions, you'll be called upon to perform while heavily fatigued, and developing the ability to perform under that environment is crucial to success. Sure, a powerlifter needs to be able to train the squat perfectly so that they can execute a perfect squat 3 times in a meet with significant breaks in between, but a strongman may be called upon to do a squat for reps event after having pulled a truck, and they're looking at needing to do 10 reps to win, rather than 1. Those 10 reps aren't going to be perfect.
      I compete in strongman too, and employ a similar methodology. In times when I need to practice the movement to develop skill, I do that. In times when I need to train the movement to get strong at it, I do it while under fatigue.

    • @Xplora213
      @Xplora213 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Emevas we have VERY different ideas about what heavy fatigue is, in that case. Heavy fatigue means you aren’t going to squat once.
      I feel your resistance to fatigue should be trained in the secondary/accessory/antagonist movements or in conditioning. Your peak physical capacity is preserved for the main lift, and you can screw around with lighter weight and higher reps at that stage. If you miss a dumbbell press on bench day after hitting a floor press PR, who cares?!

    • @Emevas
      @Emevas 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It definitely appears we have different ideas on training, which is fine. I'm just explaining Brian's perspective and how it works.
