On a better note, I'm loving listening to the Audible version of "Bleak Creek".
I would have preferred, hearing at Rhett&Link voices.
when you read it yourself, you can hear them speaking them words.

The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek is such a great accomplishment, Rhett and Link have done some pretty amazing things in their career and I'm so happy they've been able to pursue a plethora of creative endeavors.
I can't wait for the sequel!
Rhett and Link aren't reading the audible version? That's disappointing to hear but I'm still excited to read the book :)
Gotta agree here. While I respect their point of view and what they wanted to accomplish by using someone else, I feel like the voice actor kinda falls flat. I don't really enjoy the performance and find the tone he reads in outside of dialogue to be too robotic, and lacking in expression. I feel like rhett and link could have put more heart into it.
@@angustheterrible3149 I like the idea of them not reading it. Their reasoning makes sense to me for sure, but I agree about the narrator they selected. I don't care for his voice/delivery in these clips. I'm glad I went with a hardcover edition instead. It's super hard to get past a narrator you're not enjoying.
Reviews are in that the narrator really drags it down. If it's anything like the clip, I would be inclined to agree, it sounds computer generated. :/
I completely agree I’m glad I watched this before going with the audio version. I’m not a fan of how this guy reads the story

People are being rather harsh about the interviewer. He's clearly just a bit nervous and maybe he's had a bad day? You never know.

Me too. Been searching everywhere for word of a sequel. Sounds like the book's been doing well, so a sequel is a possibility (hopefully)!

I honestly would have prefer to hear Rhett and Link read the audio version. Knowing Them so well I could imagine younger versions of them when reading the book. Specially Rhett. At some point I started reading Rex as Rhett cuz I know it was a younger version of Rhett.

I feel like they could have pulled better excerpts out of the book. Instead of just random sentences with no context.
I think they were trying to take parts of the book that are in the first chapter, to avoid too many spoilers

i dont think id ever want to hear someone else read a book to me. mainly because i would get annoyed with their voice, and how they read.
Agreed. It reads different in my mind, and having somebody else read it changes my interpretation which I think defeats the purpose of getting lost in a book.
Lovely BUT Audible...you guys need to use a DeEsser and process that audio better, also needs mastering. But the readers performance is stellar!

This kinda gives me the sense Rhett & Link don’t really creatively enjoy or really find fulfillment from GMM.

Yeah they've said before that they don't plan on GMM going on forever, and that they're ready to try new things. But GMM is what they're most known for and they've been doing it so long, they're sticking with it while they work to branch out. I think they still enjoy GMM, but I agree that they seem like they're getting a bit tired of it.
Yeah. They said previously at the Tour of Mythicality that they feel like GMM is chore and at one point they did consider stopping. Its so sad they are stuck in a routine that they dont enjoy and dont see a good way out.
@@KimberleyW They're kind of between a rock and a hard place. They don't want to stop a sure thing like GMM before any other projects really take off and prove themselves to be sustainable, since GMM is the staple of their careers. I don't think they'd continue to do something they hated, but it's clear they're ready to try new things.

No wonder they don't enjoy GMM anymore. There hasn't been any substance to the show since 2015-2016. All they do now is taste test and experiments. I know they have Ear Biscuits but Ear Biscuits will be their new thing after awhile.

Ass Whole oh yes what a crime promoting THEIR book on THEIR show to THEIR audience. Definitely so annoying they should totally stop this self promotion for something their PROUD of.
