If there was a decision not to play Tatum against Serbia, it would likely have been a collaborative decision made by the entire coaching staff. But none of the other coaches suggest to put Tatum on the floor not only once but twice even they are losing WHY? because they see what you don’t see in the court especially during practice. Sure, they came up big in the most recent game, but lets not act like Curry hasn't been atrocious in virtually any other game they've played. Their experience helps in big moments sure, but Bam, Ant, AD, Derrick White can (and have) play FIBA at a high level. Our bench has saved our starters more than the starters have saved our bench. No need to discredit the rest of the team just because those 3 played a great game last game.

Quinn Cook knows what it feels like to be just a role player so he knows that it’s about having connectors on a well rounded “team”. Guys who are willing to do the dirty work without all the touches. Sure, Tatum should’ve played 5 minutes last game against Serbia. But should he getting more run than KD or LeBron who offer the same skill set as Tatum? Jrue and White are there for defensive purposes and to move the ball to the big dogs. It’s not that hard to understand, especially when up until the Serbia game, the bench unit was the highlight of this team. So yes, Tatum could’ve played a few minutes last game. But that’s about it. Kerr actually played and balanced more minutes for 10 guys than most other teams in The Olympics. This isn’t CYO or hard to figure out
