343 is only being cut by 1 stop to Tower Gateway, I guess this will save so much time for the 343 as currently it has to go all the way to Outwich Street which is basically Liverpool Street just to turn around and Tower Gateway is just a solid stand. This is a good proposal.
@@MostlyBuses1I mean it would’ve been better if the 343 was rerouted via Fenchurch Street in 2019 to replace the 40, the 42/78 would adequately and currently already cover Tower Bridge - Aldgate. I mean the 343 uses Houndsditch to turn around and the 40 use to do this as well
Will some 15 buses terminate at Aldgate in this case, similar to how many 38 buses terminate at Hackney Central near Clapton garage instead of Clapton Pond? I've to say the 15 is usually not even half filled beyond Aldgate and nearly zero pax takes it to/from Blackwall, what a waste
@@Jeff0069 Sadly not. TfL don't really like short workings. The only ones I can think of right now are the 38, 467 and other routes with school shorts.
@@Umut-j3f it will start from a stop a few meters from where it starts now. So basically it just doesn't serve the bus station, but it still serves Aldgate.
They keep changing 343 like its the 45 they need to stop, but if they was gonna change the route my preference would be Fenchurch st. The only station with no bus or tube connection.
@@slimchris113yeah I mean if TfL wanted to cut the 40 away from London Bridge etc, would’ve been better to reroute the 343 down via Fenchurch Street to replace it in the first place as I think the 343 to Aldgate was doomed from the moment it got extended due to the Tower Bridge and Gateway traffic and the fact that the 343 uses Houndsditch to turn around, something which the 40 use to do but the 40 was slightly and still is shorter than the 343 so it was fine and the 40 should’ve stayed at Aldgate anyways
@@MostlyBuses1yeah I knew it was good to be true for them to extend the 343 to Aldgate ngl, the Tower Gateway cutback isn’t so bad and isn’t as bad as the 45/171 being cut to E&C and the 242 rerouted to Aldgate for instance. The 343 should’ve gone via fenchurch street to replace the 40 and this kills two birds with one stone

Yeah it is. And I saw it on its first journey too so I was pretty suprised
