Let’s not call names. People make mistakes and he is obviously trying to learn.
@Lelalu84 I will call names when someone buys a car that's well beyond their means just to show off. My base mortgage payment is only a few hundred dollars more per month. He's not a child to be making those kinds of financial mistakes anymore, he's just a moron. I have no sympathy for him.
You need to put a warning on these. I felt physical pain when he said 1100.😂
I went to a dealership and looked at a truck and they sucked me into “put down a deposit” ok. Then before I knew it I was in signing papers. I was confused so I was like “and this is refundable if I change my mind?” And they said no this is final, you lose your deposit. My wife and I talked it over and felt like losing the deposit was worth it to keep a hold on the car and think about it, so I signed and on the way home decided I was going to decline and lose my deposit, big whoop but I’d save the 800 a month. I called them and said “hey I decided I don’t want to buy the car” they said “oh no no, you own the car now, you signed the ownership papers.” I had absolutely no idea, and was bamboozled. I ended up getting out of it, and even getting my deposit back. I still drive my shitty beater with a fucked up exhaust and make 120k a year. So happy I didn’t get into a 800/mo car payment. The relief I felt when the owner apologized, gave me back my deposit and shook my hand was unreal.
Thr deposit is never not refundable

You're lucky. I just had a repossession fall off my credit from 7 years ago. I decided not to buy the vehicle. They didn't even cash the check for the deposit because I cancelled it. A few weeks later, another dealership I was working with had pre-approved me but when underwriting got to it, a new car loan popped up on my credit! The previous dealership lied to the loan company about receiving my deposit and pushed the loan through. The vehicle was eventually repossessed from the dealership lot. The BBB and attorney general did nothing. The lawyers I contacted were to expensive for me to hire. It haunted me for 7 years. In the end, I never paid a dime, but what a nightmare.

You were an idiot to sign any papers or pay any money. Don't blame the dealership for your mistakes.

I see so many of these luxury SUVs down at the public school that it makes me wonder why parents aren't charged for education based on a sliding scale with regards to income when the childless old widow down the street on social security has to pay property tax to fund education. The payments are insane.
I ask my bank for a loan. Of 7000. For a vehicle I like but they tell me that they can give me a loan for a 54 000. Right there. But I say no ado t want a54000. Car I want 7000 only and they say no we can't for 7000 only 54000. Left and find different bank
Same thing happened to me trying to buy a car as a newly single mom. Couldn't finance a decent, low cost vehicle. But Santander was willing to go no income docs on $40-$60k 😂
