In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 29km/h into a rigid pole.

@Mindzinsuk It's a UK model, LS spec. UK Accord 6th gens were not available with the shitty 1.6, and side airbags were an option in the LS, and standard in every other spec.
@Azureecosse The '96 Accord is a TOTALLY different Accord, and is nothing like the one in the video. 98-03 Accords were not available in the UK. They were in the rest of europe however.
Угодил в лобовое на таком, отделался лишь ушибом колена и грудной клетки( ремень удержал меня, а подушки лицом и не коснулся). Что сказать, машина не смотря на солидный возраст на момент аварии (22 года) порадовала своей безопасностью, жаль, что восстановлению больше не подлежит, но стоит ли жалеть об этом, когда сам цел и невредим, а вот второго участника дтп увезли в больницу с переломами и сотрясением… думаю, нет

@jarekkokser The 1.6 and 2.0TD engines were NOT available for the UK market. I know this as it was pointed out in the press release that those engines would not be included as it was deemed an unpopular choice against there target audiencene. Your side airbags are only optional as its the bottom of the range iS. The cheap model in other words. Ill stick to my 2 litre SE Sport thanks. :)
1.6 was available. i own 1.8iS with optional side airbags, so you're mistaken twice
Not available with a TD I meant.
There seemed to be a lack of load spread after the rear door. This maybe is the cause of the unusual rear floor pan distortion. The rear wing appears to bow out, so more energy's pasaed into the sill. This possibly suggests that protection in a rear end collision could be compromised if the rear door isn't in a position to channel crash forces down the side of the car also.
