G-Darius is my fav in the series, i really like the option to capture enemy's and use them as weapons

I'm really enjoying your content lately. Stuff like with the Game Boy Micro or reviews like this. I'm a huge fan of the Darius series, happy to see the support for these games.
Pick this up for the PS4 myself. Always wanted a physical copy of the game. The other Darius game is to pricey for my tastes so I never bought them. This was price decent enough so I said why not. My favorite Darius game was Darius Twin on the SNES. Even with all it slowdown I don't know why I still like it.
My brother and I loved Darius Twin as kids.
Doubt Lines is one of my favorite game tracks of all time...Zone M, I think?

Game looks good. The one down side for me is the high letter box resolution. If it's widescreen, then why not fill the screen? Oh well.
The game originally came out in 32 by 9 they should have a wide screen option where they stretch it which I personally wouldn’t use but maybe somebody would like it. All they have is a button to zoom in but in a game like this you need to see upcoming bullets so not great even though you can see a lot more detail
'Glad they released this on Nintendo Switch, even though shoot-em-ups aren't my thing. I'm from Central Florida and there's a local all-you-can-play arcade joint near me and they have this cabinet - I should give it a try, at least.
I'm scratching my head on how this is a better option than Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours. For Switch owners, I can understand, since Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours isn't on a Nintendo system, so there's no other option on that front. But for PS4 owners, it is on there for $20 more than this, and it includes Another Chronicle EX and its contents (which EX+ appears to be the same in that regard) plus the Chronicle Saviours mode which has nearly 200 stages total, a digital artbook, the CS mode is full screen (although AC is still in that arcade-styled screen resolution as shown on this review) and access to optional/pricey DLC. The only reasons I can see people getting this is for trophies or they just want Another Chronicle EX without Chronicle Saviours. Either way, however you want to play this game, it is a solid SHMUP to enjoy for sure with a good amount of content to boot.

This would be fantasfish on the Quest 2. Radirgy and Illvelo coming to Switch later this year too, which hopefully will see a NA release.
I have the massive version of this on Steam which has like 30 DLC packages or something like that. I also have the classic Darius games that came out on the Switch last year. So i have to obviously get this as well.

Strictly Limited Games does have a physical release combined with G-Darius HD. There's also the retail version of Dariusburst EX+ or G-Darius HD coming out.

Darius Chronicles for the PS4 is better. Cause it comes with alot of extra DLC Ships from other Shmup games.
So if it had alot of DLC like the other then i might get it.

No. This is a port of the arcade game. It lacks the previous PS4/Vita game's dlc options & the added console-chronicle mode.
Getting my copy on the switch tomorrow :) Amazon won't delver early but its ok.

Ha!! I literally ordered this on Saturday just randomly looking at stuff on Amazon. I always wanted Chronicles but so damn expensive + all the dlc. I saw this, saw the release date, saw the PRICE. $$$OLD!!!!
cheap port from steam where I already own it since years… still the crappy nonesense aspect ratio as if most people wouldn’t have a 16:9 screen at home
don’t get me wrong, it’s a fantastic shoot em up with tons of content but the effort they put into the 1:1 port is almost nothing

I love the darius series but this version could have just been DLC for darius burst, burst had the place for the event mode to be added they just decided to make more money and do a sperate realese shame as we could have had a one complete game. apart from that tho its fantasic love it been playing it loads there a fair amout of game for you money and with the chronicle modes 3000+ levels.

Don't no why the screen is so narrow its only using half the screen size. Dariusburst chronicle saviours is obviously a better game and so much more depth of content this is a big steep back a app solute waste of development time. I'm so disappointed! I won't be getting this. After chronicle saviours. I thought we might get a AAA current gen version of dariusburst May be next time. Most importantly I hope they add a update to fix the screen size and then add some content like more levels and space crafts to use and more levels and enemy types. Chronicle saviours had a lot of extra content but it was keeped separate from the game modes that made the content a waste. I can't believe the screen size? It's definitely a big step back from the last game. I was looking forward to playing this game.

Darius on Switch? How is this 1 specific shmup still pumping out games to this day but series like Thunder Force or Gradius ended during the PS2 Era?

Darius definitely has its fans man. It’s my favorite of the classic shooter series but I also love Gradius and Thunderforce as well.
If they released Einhander remaster I would die of happiness... sigh. One day!
