Imprisoned in Bright Falls police station, Nightingale makes a conviction of Wake's "crime" through the manuscripts he's found. Sheriff Breaker, however, is no stranger to what else could be happening. And so, with Nightingale suddenly abducted by the Dark Presence, Sheriff Breaker releases Alan and Barry, alerting the rest of the police force of Bright Falls to survive the strange midnight.

As much as this is a good running joke,the dark presence wouldn't have chosen him for his affinity for writing dark stories😂
