All these Chinese radios are using USB-C connectors, but it’s still a USB 2.0 charging standard. 5V1A. So they just shuts down whenever they encounter a modern 3.0 charger. 3 amps across multiple voltages. My go-to for a safe and reliable 1 watt charger is the classic Apple cube charger.
I have this little gem, it is very impressive. Awesome clarity and reception. I like the analog style, the lamp for the dial and ease of use. Get one, you will be happy you did.
I seriously dig mine. Even in your very good video, you really can't tell just how small this thing is. Not QUITE as tall as a Bic lighter, about as wide as two of them side by side, roughly the same for depth. Dude is LITTLE. The sound from such a small package is indeed surprisingly good, as is the sensitivity. The wire antenna improves it even further. For the price, the lack of SSB is no big deal. The only ball they dropped is the lack of a headphone jack. Great little radio.
If anyone has trouble w radio turning ON. Check the battery slot contact prongs. Mine were recessed and did not engage batt's terminals. A lite pry with a small pick fixed it.

When I told my wife I bought a new radio, she couldn't spot it on my desk until I pointed to this tiny device 😆

You have a EQ setting that works on BT and SD but not radio. I like that it's chunky, less likely to fall over.
I got one of these today, its an awesome little unit.

Same issue with the zhwis 700, I sent it back
@@bev_buntu4674 when you received your ZhiWhis was the wrapped battery inside the battery case? The 3 little copper contacts get recessed backwards!
