    That's a great addition to the front of the car, really makes the car look even more sporty in a way. Also this is a great budget friendly modification for all Lexus GS owners out there.

    Just stumbled on to your videos a few days back. I built a 98 GS4 in the late 2000's. I had a TTE front lip, L-Tuned skirts and grill, Tein coil overs and a Carson Tuned cat back. This brings back a lot of memories. I miss that car. Love the build!

    • @ForwardMomentum
      @ForwardMomentum  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I’m with you! I have reached out to PPE but so far no response. I have a hard time justifying $1100 (with ceramic coating) on a $4K car for 20whp. If I did an install vid I am sure they would sell plenty. Maybe you can email them and reinforce that I will do it. :)

    • @clairebear5029
      @clairebear5029 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ForwardMomentum Well you can get obx ones on ebay but I heard the fitment isn't great and they go for around $450. I think you need to do some grinding and get some good mounts. I understand. I put alot into my GS400 with 206k on odometer LOL. As Scotty Kilmer says V8 Lexus's are a PIA to work on. I know club lexus did a group buy awhile ago. They are pricey but I heard best bang for buck besides cams.

    • @clairebear5029
      @clairebear5029 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I heard PPE are best fitment. $1100 is pricey but they are customer fabbed. Think there's a lead time to get them. From everywhere I read I think the cheater way to install is to drop remove the front cross member to get access and they use an underhood engine hoist to lift the engine enough to get them off. Every mechanic I talk to says book time to do them is 12 hrs!! :(

    • @ForwardMomentum
      @ForwardMomentum  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everything you said is spot on. Pulling the engine is actually another option. Trust me, I want them. Bad. :)

    • @ForwardMomentum
      @ForwardMomentum  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Copy that. I actually heard a lot of complaints about some included hardware being cheap and inconsistent between kits, so I opted to get it on my own. At this price point people can roll the dice. Worst case is they need to go to the store.

    so what’s the point of the blocks if you just saw them off? should i just saw them off entirely?

    • @ForwardMomentum
      @ForwardMomentum  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to trim to fit. It entirely depends on your lip placement as to how much you cut.

  • @metalvillain121
    @metalvillain121 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    also with the heat gun, should i push it in to make it flush or just let the heat gun work?

    • @ForwardMomentum

      Both. Just go easy and get the hang of it. Heat and shape. Repeat. Mine never molded perfectly so you may want to consider epoxy if you want perfection.
