The Red Pool seems like something that bends reality to the fears we imagine. Like grass as knives, sun that gets hotter and hotter, water that'll suffocate you just for drinking it, trees that want to use you as nutrients, even the wall that feels like it's not protecting you but keeping you trapped. The world shifts due to the minds of those inside, you can walk in a straight line for months and return to your starting position within a few hours.

Basically the pool on outside is bleeding thru from another dimension (hence the different types of creatures), but the way it seems as in other side they went to was just like ours but with minor changes that could've been made by the pool to that place. The hint is once they get to walls. Because its walls several inches apart it seems like that's the containment area for that dimensions pool. (The thing is the grass is normal on that side just charred). I think the pool is bleeding thru into our reality because the last thing the scientists conjecture is the pool is getting bigger. So what if its moving from once side to another. ALSO the log at the end saying this expedition never happened could be true and not a hide there buts thing, it could've been literally from another dimension the pool links to and it just spit our a video or a robot with it etc. TlDR the pool on the other side/dimension was under containment by that places version of the Foundation once they got to the walls that was the end of containment, the world on the otherside could be dreadful or apocalyptic even.
The scariest part of this log is that the expedition was never said to happen, like no setup from the foundation but just somehow happened. I think that the pool was messing with the facility and trying to get people to cross. It’s really mysterious, go read about the SCP on the wiki, it’s really entertaining.
Could easily be a universe where the SCP foundation exists and theres only minor differences in the dimensions timelines, and due to the anomalous properties of the red pool, the log popped up in the base SCP foundation universe
there are a few other scps like that. The doctor's office where people are sent to a parallel world is like that. Our universe's foundation didn't allow human trials but the other dimension's did and sent their research assistant through

The coffee ban is actually a joke in the scp articles a running gag. The coffee is an SCP theres a thermace one and the other is from a tale where they try to kill the shy guy 068 I believe? And the doctors excuse is they were geting coffee except there wasn't any coffee on site lol so they find it was him.
The coffee is an easter egg from the termination logs of SCP-096 During a containment breach of 096 that nearly resulted in an XK, one of the doctors in charge of the test that resulted in the breach was not supervising the experiment when he should have been, thus resulting in the breach as the test did not follow proper protocol. His excuse was "I was getting coffee" However, when he was interrogated about this event, it was found that there were no coffee machines on the site 096 was being held and that he actually WANTED 096 to escape (though I forgot the reason.)
The other side of the pool seems like either an alternate version of Earth, a separate timeline, or some sort of attempt to replicate it with whatever the creators had on hand.
i think its a rimworld of sorts, being a window between worlds, it explains why the mission was never actually done, and the people arent on record: they dont exist, in our universe at least, when he dove in he dove in from another alternate earth, and when he dove out he (and the log) were on our version of the pool, it would explain the extremely odd fauna that found its way out the pool in our universe
I want know more ;-; will there ever be a second part where they actually discover what world is or why are creatures appearing on the scp's side? Also, my theory about the Roar is that either the planet is a huge living being or the creature that made it is so huge it sounds as if it was closer despite being many miles away.
There won’t be a second part unless someone creates one. The original on the wiki leaves it at a cliffhanger with as many plot holes as shown here. I don’t think the original author will create a part 2 so there is a low chance for this story to be continued
This makes me think that the walls are meant to stop something from getting somewhere and those holes they cut may have lead whatever bad thing was about to happen before he went back into the ship
Actually when I heard of the walls my first thought wa s that it’s similar to the walls of the containment and that the pool is suddenly bigger I don’t know but I get the feeling that everything is either bigger or they got smaller

354 is definitely one of my favorites. The creatures seem to be completely random, and the feeling of wandering in an unknown place is definitely captured in the mission log.
I would like to see an animation of one of the Antimemetic Division tales, preferably the tales that involve antimemetic entities like Alastair Grey from "Introductory Antimemetics" or the guy riding the skyscraper sized spider from "Unforgettable, That's What You Are" and "Immemorial".

Its always possible that because of the way it messes with time, seen when they walked for hours and returned in half the time, could have erased them from existence(earth timeline) and when the left the red pool or red pool timeline the logs would have still existed but only in the red pools timeline all they did was leave the pool into a completley different timeline they had left from
@@Raymendd the concept of time is clearly present on the earth they were on, the red pool, and the earth they returned to. Focusing on the red pool however; the only thing needed to show time is the sun and moon which gives us the information that 2 days in the pool is roughly 2 times longer than our normal days (24hrs = about 48hrs) and seemingly may manipulate time outside the pool. If a world shows any small changes then time usually exists in the story
I love the animation on this one. The way the eyebrows move with the expressions and tone, the way the doctor's head and shoulders move with him- it looks great.
Maybe they were from the foundation in an alternate universe or what If those people existed but then didn't when they entered because the laws of physics dont work. Or what if the lake made those people
SCP Animated's animation skills get 10x better with every video. A few years from now, these guys would probably be able to make a full-on cinematic universe.
It's amazing how a few glitch effects and a tiled head can be so scary with the right setup/in the right situation. P.S. really good animation, getting better and better =)
I've read this SCP no longer then a week ago and thought it to be not as impressive as it could be, but here you are with yet another video that's blowing my mind. This video really gave me the creeps. Really well done by everyone that has worked on it!
Personal theory: this is perhaps a time loop, where the foundation sends out a group, they end up opening the metal wall which held all the creatures in and they ended up escaping, and the reason the camera cut out is because the creatures had gotten to the sub before they could escape, then they crossed through and attacked the foundation, which reset the loop to start again, and perhaps there was a creature that was messing with the camera the closer they got? But that's most definitely not it.
It almost seems like the red pool was essentially a gateway to hell, and the more it crossed over into our dimension, the more it tried to corrupt us in the process. That opening scene with the two dogs, one fire and one ice were possibly the two pets of the lizard man who also emerged after taking a dip in the pool, and all of them had lost their minds after being turned in some way. The gigantic octopus tendrils might have been due to the aquatic life being inside being mutated and merged into some ravenous Kraken like creature.
This is late but the lava cat was actually docile unlike the ice one. The lava one killed the ice cat and after the breach was allowed to walk free in the facility I think... Until the lava cooled and so it died I guess. Now it's just a statue in one of the scientists room or something. The lizerd thing was killed btw.

Also, my theory about the Roar is that either the planet is a huge living being or the creature that made it is so huge it sounds as if it was closer despite being many miles away.
There won’t be a second part unless someone creates one. The original on the wiki leaves it at a cliffhanger with as many plot holes as shown here. I don’t think the original author will create a part 2 so there is a low chance for this story to be continued

Its always possible that because of the way it messes with time, seen when they walked for hours and returned in half the time, could have erased them from existence(earth timeline) and when the left the red pool or red pool timeline the logs would have still existed but only in the red pools timeline all they did was leave the pool into a completley different timeline they had left from

@@Raymendd the concept of time is clearly present on the earth they were on, the red pool, and the earth they returned to. Focusing on the red pool however; the only thing needed to show time is the sun and moon which gives us the information that 2 days in the pool is roughly 2 times longer than our normal days (24hrs = about 48hrs) and seemingly may manipulate time outside the pool. If a world shows any small changes then time usually exists in the story

the face animation how everything is moving is really good.
Personal theory: this is perhaps a time loop, where the foundation sends out a group, they end up opening the metal wall which held all the creatures in and they ended up escaping, and the reason the camera cut out is because the creatures had gotten to the sub before they could escape, then they crossed through and attacked the foundation, which reset the loop to start again, and perhaps there was a creature that was messing with the camera the closer they got? But that's most definitely not it.
I agree with this theory
It almost seems like the red pool was essentially a gateway to hell, and the more it crossed over into our dimension, the more it tried to corrupt us in the process.
That opening scene with the two dogs, one fire and one ice were possibly the two pets of the lizard man who also emerged after taking a dip in the pool, and all of them had lost their minds after being turned in some way.
The gigantic octopus tendrils might have been due to the aquatic life being inside being mutated and merged into some ravenous Kraken like creature.

This is late but the lava cat was actually docile unlike the ice one. The lava one killed the ice cat and after the breach was allowed to walk free in the facility I think... Until the lava cooled and so it died I guess. Now it's just a statue in one of the scientists room or something. The lizerd thing was killed btw.
