- For the 8th song from the GaMetal album, we're revisiting my first ever Pokémon remix from 2009: here's a fresh revision of Battle! Trainer from Pokémon Red / Blue / Yellow!
I've had a lot of requests to remake this for a GaMetal May Madness (or.. not for May Madness) over the years, but it always barely misses the cut in favor of other songs. The Red/Blue soundtrack has always been a personal favorite Game Boy OST of mine, so I've been looking forward to hitting this one back up.

This just is beyond me. The energy you have with the music is the same energy that I felt as a "Pokémon trainer", and I was only 7 years old, but even a "Bug Catcher" as a match, for me, was decisive.
You put the "epic" on the battles and the touch that every "trainer" had back on the days.

A little disappointed it wasn't the Champion theme, I LOVE your R/B/Y Champ cover so much, it had such a good like. Almost horror vibe to it, with the really sharp and short notes at the start into those awesome wails after it kicks in. I'm not sure if it actually fit Blue/Gary much but I liked it a ton anyway, heh. Still, this cover wound up being really good, this whole album has been clean as hell playing with really nice arrangements and this is no exception.

An awesome update of a very nostalgic theme for many. Here's a few songs I'd love to see in the future, no matter how Farfetch'd they may be:

--Final Boss (Super Mario Galaxy) (you could also pair it with the regular Vs. Bowser theme for extra awesome)

I knew it! The trainer battle from Gen 1 Pokemon!!! The remake is finally here AHHHH!! 2009 version is pretty good imo, the Blast from the Past version is rad, this one's more than I could ever imagine it could be. Something was telling me you'd do a medley featuring this, the gym leader theme, and champion theme. Another part of me was thinking the trainer battle remake would sound like Gen 1's but a have a little of Gen 2's Kanto Trainer theme thrown in, but that'd be obvious. I'm still tremendously satisfied with just the trainer theme, this rocks!!! Thank you so much for the remake and OMG THAT GAME CORNER ACOUSTIC YESSSS MY CHILDHOOD. Is Final Fantasy next? If so I am already questioning how the FF1-6 Medley from 2015 will be topped, but also hoping it does happen.

For some reason, there was something incredibly... ominous, about the original Pokemon Trainer Battle theme that almost every regular trainer battle theme lacked. It's incredibly hard to describe, it wasn't quite intense, but it definitely put me on edge. Same with the wild Pokemon battle theme for that matter.
