This song shows that ever since debut they're really talented. We got one of our main rappers (Han Jisung) doing those high notes at the chorus, and the lyrics of this song really hits
Stray kids is one of the few groups that writes their own music, produces their own music, and does most of their own choreography. Listen to maniac, thunderous, and everything else you can. Their range is incredible. When youtiful came out I sent the video to my daughters for the positive message.
They don't do any of that alone, though. They do write about 99% of their lyrics, no argument there. But when it comes to composing, they have involvement on 95% of their songs (there are 8 songs in their discography where no member is credited with composing), but they get a lot of help. I counted over 200 creative credits on 167 songs given to other producers. Yes, Stray kids are the primary composers 93% of the time (found another 4 songs where they are listed as secondary composers) but they do get a lot of input from other professionals. They also only arrange about 50% of their music with help. Also they actually don't choreograph often. In fact Hellevator is one of very few that Lee Know was credited with choreographing. Most of the time they use choreographers, most often a group called MOTF, and the members sometimes make suggestions to change things while learning the choreo along the way.
🔥🔥🔥Fire since predebut. They basically had a week to create this entire song and cheorography to present it. They were told it was in too high of a key... a female key. Stray Kids not only kept the key high, they had their "main rapper" sing that part.
@@NeonReactionsPierre JYP was actually the one who told them it was too high and that he wouldnt even give a song that high to a female group. Stray Kids response? Not only did they not change it, they turned around and made their debut song, District 9, even higher! They dont care a bit Changbin even full on glared at him during the show. JYP has written 1 song for them and he said he was nervous and scared to present it to them because they could deny the song if they didnt like it.
@@thatstay3916 JYP actually also has creative credit for lyrics on Levanter and My pace, although he's 4th in input behind all of 3racha. But he didn't help with composing either of those songs like he did All in.
Stray Kids are amazing! I am a 48 year old woman who came across God's Menu and Felix's voice a little over a year ago and I have been a Stay ever since! Not only can they sing, rap, and dance, but they are lyricists and producers who create amazing songs and videos. Welcome to Stay-ville! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
First section it was not 2 rappers but only one, Changbin. He is impressive in his ability to change flows and voice colours. He was the one opening God's Menu "in your face". You'll soon learn to recognize them all. Warm welcome to STAYville ❤
They were on Kingdom and did "I'll be your man" by BTOB and towards the end of the song, there's a part that BTOB uses 2 rappers and Changbin does it himself. He is that amazing and can easily confuse people into thinking it's 2 people when it's only him.
I'm very happy you checked this one out! 😊 It's a very personal song to them, and you literally get to see the creative process of it during the survival show: you see them writing their raps, creating the melody, coming up with the title, learning the choreography, everything. Not only do they write/produce, they also created the name "Stray Kids", the leader hand picked the members and also made the logo! The amount of dedication 😂 I'm happy JYP allows them to have this much control, he really trusts them! Now if you are a fan of rap...Stray Kids is THE GROUP. They are basically known for having some of if not the best rappers of their generation! In this song alone, 5 members rapped (not even including bang chan who is also a pretty good rapper!). They can all rap, sing and dance. They have emotional and relatable raps like this throughout their discography! Some of my favs raps like that are Voices & Slump! They also have high energy raps, or raps that show more of their skill with flow, rhyme schemes, delivery, but they still have great messages! Some examples would be District 9 (their debut), Mirror (also on their debut album), Maze of memories (a song where ALL members rap), Miroh, Muddy water and a lot more (not even including solo projects cause then the list would be longer)! I can't help but feel like all title tracks are a must listen!😂 Side effects, Levanter, Maniac, My pace, I am YOU...if you read the lyrics these songs become so much more meaningful! And those are just a few examples! Btw: the rap in the first verse was rapped by just 1 rapper! His name is Changbin and even tho Stray Kids dont have official positions he's considered the main rapper! Han is also considered a main rapper, he's the 2nd rapper in the 2nd verse and also the 3rd rapper in the bridge (he's also the one who sung the high note!) When they first showed this song to JYP he literally told them the range is too high xd They didn't really change it tho, if anything their debut was even higher.
Thank you! Yes this one really got me. I'm becoming a Stay... The raps were really good. I love Lee YoungJi for her fast and powerful flow and great charisma. And I am seeing that vibe here too. So excited now!
I am so glad you got into the kids and can tell by how you reacted to their lyrics that they are definitely for you. I got into them at their start and this song was when I knew that me "testing if I would like kpop" was going to end into these kids meaning the world to me. I just want to give some points that some others might not have mentioned. 1) Most of their music videos are connected and they have a multiverse kind of thing where they have had other versions of them, sometimes even having to fight against those versions 2) They have spoilers EVERYWHERE! In music videos, in lyrics, on stage, during lives, and even with clothing. As you see more things you can see a lot of references to their other work. (Even as a hawk-eyed, ancient STAY I am still finding stuff) 3) When you start to understand their personalities and morals you will fall unavoidablly more in love with them. They are well known for have a lot of manners and also standing against racism, homophobia, and sexism. It tends to make them even more disliked in Korea because of the countries conservative views but they don't care to try to make everyone happy. 4) They are just unapologetically themselves no matter what which is sadly so rare in kpop. They are still very professional but also know how to make fans, staff, and even other idols have fun with them. Many other idols/groups see them as their chaotic and adorable little or older brothers. They bring so much joy but also carry so much respect in the industry which is undoubtedly unique. This will be a long journey to catch up with them, especially since they have so much coming out all the time, but trust me when I say it will be worth it. I hope you live wonderfully in this life and are blessed into your next
Thank you for your kind words. I am very excited to dive into SKZ and see what they are all about. Up to now I am only hearing really good stuff. They seem special in the industry which makes it even more interesting. Thanks again, take care :)
This was skz pre debut track and I goes to show just how amazing they were from the start and if I can remember it ws Chan that wrote the beat for this track aswell also it ws this song that felix became a bias of mine, this was also the song that introduced me to skz and made me a stay
Love your enthusiasm for Stray Kids! Bang Chan (English name Chris, and the leader) was a trainee for 7 years, and has spoken very openly about his struggles during that disheartening process. Being away from family in Australia and then losing friends throughout the training process- some debuting before him, others just getting cut- left him feeling empty and alone. After that dark period, he found he wanted to share the hope he found in finally finding his group (and family away from home) with everyone that ever felt like he did. Han and Changbin proved to be of similar mindset, and as the producing line/lyricists, Skz has made many songs reaching out their hands to the other stray kids in the world ❤️🩹❤️🩹 Get the tissues ready, Skz can make you cry just as hard and they can make you pumped! And we love them for it!
That sound really nice. Thanks. Just by reading these lyrics here I saw that they are capable of digging deeper, which I really like. this is going to be an interesting ride.
You have to understand too, this was written by their production unit, 3Racha, of which the leader, Bangchan is a part of. Bangchan was a trainee for SEVEN YEARS before he finally debuted with the group. He watched so many of his peers debut before him and then was given this new task of putting together a group to debut with. I’m sure at times he didn’t think he’d ever debut and when you think about that while reading the lyrics to this song it makes it even deeper. Thanks so much for responding to my comment on your last video!
Thank you for that, for the comment and just for being here.😀 The deep meaning and message of the song was great. It could be felt in the music. I love it when music does that.
I keep saying how impressed I am about this group. They have meaning and positivity to their music. I'm so glad I found this group by accident. I'm a stay forever
I am still in awe of this song, even after 5-6 years. I think I was booked and done Stay after I heard it for the first time. It's still one of my all-time favorite song. Love SKZ ❤
The fact that they produce their own music and write their own lyrics since even before the start of their career.. really just- WOAH. And the fact that they were so young when they made this song💔
I’m here for this journey! If you want their other predebut tracks, Grr and Spread My Wings are next chronologically. They were performance videos from their predebut mixtape.
I’m so happy you like Stray Kids. They have amazing music. They also have vocal songs, not only rap heavy ones. Just have a listen to the live version of “Slump”. You will be surprised by how good they all are. All their songs have great messages.
This reaction was everything! With Stray Kids you don't fall down the rabbit hole, at least I didn't. One taste and I straight up dove in head first 😂. ❤ this, and can't wait to see the next 😊
This song make me so emotional, the thought of them being from 17-20 when they pull this song up is always so encouraging to me, thank you so much for appreciating all the aspects in their music If you are a rapper fan you will love them I can already tell omg i am so exited! They are all rounders but the main rappers are the ones you like actually. 3:15 Changbin And 7:08 Han Again thank you so much I can't wait for you to keep digging and of course you are very welcome to STAYville, have a nice day✨🥰✨
I can't wait to see you discover these amazing men! Not only are they so incredibly talented. But they truly are amazing human beings. They are so so funny to! They don't care about maintaining the "idol" image. They care about being happy and having a good time. And they aren't afraid to make themselves look silly to do so. You will love it here! Also they release sooo much music and content it will make your head spin. Stays are the most spoiled fandom!
Thank you. Yes I've heard they put out very many songs.... and this one was one hell of a song for not even having debuted yet... Nice to have you here!
Hello and thanks for listening to Stray Kids! As soon as I saw your reaction and your enthusiasm for God's Menu, I knew it was going to be a one-way trip to Stayville. Be very welcome and be sure to have the full support of all stays. Feel free to ask questions, ask for recommendations and get all your questions answered. We are all here to help anyone who is willing to open their hearts and minds to these eight talented boys who are also incredible human beings! Hellevator is the pre-debut song, as you already knew. At that time and until October 2019 they were 9 members. From that date there are 8, so you will see mv with 9 and others with 8 members. The debut song is District 9 and I'm sure you'll like it. There is a song by 3Racha which is also called 3Racha and talks about the trio. In the excerpt from Bang Chan (leader of Stray Kids) he says: "My boys spit out facts that they latched and loaded. Still on the grind, you better watch out for the brothers Masterminds, the perfect trio bonded by blood Musketeers of making music, one for all and all for one" That's the perfect description of the 8 members "one for all and all for one". I will always be following your reactions. (translated with Google Translator)
And by the way, they write, make and produce all of their songs. So what you hear is 100% them. They have 3 subdivisions of the group: 3Racha- the rap unit who are also the producers of the songs. Danceracha- the main dancers who do and teach the choreographies, Vocalracha- the vocal team, who are responsible for the vocals. When you will see a guide you will learn more about the subdivisions. They also have individual songs or only part of the group songs.
When you were speaking about the bridge part of the song you took the words right out of my mouth! I always felt euphoric and hopeful when I listen to that part but I didn’t know how to form it in words, I just felt happily intense when that part played but now I know why! Stray kids are so creative.
Thank you. Glad you liked it. Yes the song is a great example of what good music does. Not only the lyrics move you but the song itself lets you feel the lyrics and the meaning. I really liked that.
Welcome to Stayville! I'm here to follow you on your journey to know all the boys more! You will not be dissapointed. Because they all write and produce like almost all their songs, the lyrics will always hit you. It's all meaningful and sometimes very deep. And the songs they produce you can always relate too. Anyway, welcome again and I can't wait for your next reaction to Stray Kids! ❤🔥
After watching this, Youre one of the very few reactors who are very receptive, in that you take almost everything in from the music, lyrics, visuals. I love your reaction so much, and im so sure youre going to enjoy the great music from stray kids ❤ can’t wait for your next one!
Thank you very much. Yes I try to look at the whole picture from all angles. That would come from being a musician and an artist myself. Been playing guitar for 40 years now, have written far too many songs myself including lyrics, I used to write poetry and I paint abstract art. So I guess its from that background that I try to look at life and everything around me in various ways and maybe have a different view and feel for things. Thank you for noticing though :) Glad you enjoyed it.
Wow another SKZ reaction video so soon! Thank you for being as eager as we are! Hellevator has a special place in all of our hearts, it’s especially a priceless moment seeing it live. I’m sure people have already mentioned it, but my favorite fact about this is JYP criticizing them for using a high key in this song, only for them to release their debut song, “District 9” with an even HIGHER key - and nailing it at that! Looking back at this song always makes my heart swell with pride; I hope you continue to enjoy SKZ!
I really enjoyed your reactions in this and the previous video of SZK. Surely people already wrote it to you, but they are a self-produced group and, to be able to debut, one of their missions was to write a song from the beginning, the beat, the lyrics and the choreography, and that was Hellevator. Bang Chan, the leader, chose each of the members and is the main producer and writer of the group along with Changbin and Han, the principal rapers (3Racha). I'll be looking out for this trip to Stray Kids music and Stayville. Lots of love! ❤❤❤
Yea!! thank you, hop on the train and I'll try to make the ride as smooth as possible.... Snacks and beverages in the lounge area. No, seriously, Thank you and good to have you here.
Stray Kids are well known for their exceptional rappers. The cool thing is....all eight of them can rap, which is not common for a K-pop group. *Usually* a group has one or two rappers. (There are exceptions, of course.) Stray Kids has a core group that raps much more frequently than the others, but when the song needs it, all eight of them can easily do it. (Also....fun fact.....all of their rappers can actually SING, too. They have great vocals.) Their debut song is "District 9." You will see some great rapping in that song. When SKZ debuted and the song was released in March 2018, it pretty much kicked the industry in the AZZ.
@@NeonReactionsPierre the longer guides os worth it. i Feel the short guides does not do the SKZ justice and show all their versatility and Dualities 🫶🏻👊🏻
this song was just such an incredible way to place their very first mark on the industry.. they are such incredible artists. their songs can get DEEP. ranging from heartbreaking to inspirational. it’s always a trip going through their discography. it doesn’t seem like you noticed in this video, but just to avoid some confusion, i think its good for me to point out now, if you are going to be watching old music videos so early in your journey. but at this time until october of 2019, stray kids had 9 members. i wont go into any detail about what happened in this comment but if you are ever curious id be happy to give you a, sorta breif, explanation in a way thats as unbiased and as factual as i possibly can do. the most important thing to know right now is that they are 8 members and they are happy as 8 ❤️ it’s always nice to see people go all the way back and see where they came from. just a bunch of teenagers trying to get their message out to the world and they did it😢 thank you again for reacting to stray kids. i truly hope you continue to enjoy your journey and im excited to come along for the ride!!
Woohoo! thank you. Yes some others have already mentioned the 9 members. I can't even tell them apart at this point, let alone put names to their faces, so I am ok. The song was great, I loved it and I think the ride will be awesome. Nice to have you on board!
I've listened to about everything throughout my life. Being a guitarist and a singer I went through everything where guitars are played... from folk to the heaviest metal... from funk to classical... I still play for myself a more "campfire acoustic alternative" style... like back in the days when mtv still had those original unplugged concerts with bonjovi and nirvana and so.... But for the last 7 years kpop has taken over and yea, here we are trying to learn korean and loving kimchi .... while listening to Twice, IU and Stray Kids... Mostly still listening to girl groups.... haven't really got the guys in my head yet. Except for Stray Kids here. They are really good....
You are going to have so much fun, just a quick introduction I don’t know if some one al really told you but skz was initially form by 9 members hand pick by they líder Bang Chan at the end of 2019 on of them decide to leave the group we don’t have further information why? but they continue as eight members. Stray kids has 3 sub units you will know once you see the guide to Stray Kids.
My first foray into KPop was watching a reaction to Stray Kids Maniac. I decided to find out more and watched their survival show and that really gave me a good insight to how they tick and I’ve been a Stay ever since. I love their passion, talent and energy and they just seem to keep on moving on an upward trajectory. I’m going to enjoy watching you come to know them too.
I’m a simple person. I see stray kids, I click…..and subscribe 😊 Just on the lyrics, stray kids are master lyricists. Not only with the deep and relatable messages, but also with their brilliant play on words that I haven’t really seen anywhere else so far. Welcome, and I hope you enjoy this incredible journey you are now on! Thank you again for choosing to get into stray kids! WARNING: Not only are they extremely talented artists, but also full time comedians! 😂 Their duality is actually insane!
I’m happy to see you appreciating Stray Kids music truly. I’m sure you’re going to enjoy the Stay Kids survival show where they made this song Hellevator and other songs together before J.Y. Park approved them all to debut together. I’m a STAY since God’s Menu and Back Door (3 years ago) and I always go back to see the show every now and then.
Glad to see you enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next or the guide. Please make sure you look at the longer guides and don’t worry about the time us STAYs will stick through it so that we can answer any questions after😂 Because they all have a duality that the shorter ones never touch on! All of STAYs are always here to help in your STAYVille journey 🖤🐺. There is an enormous about of information, music, individual projects such as dance performances, individual songs as well as variety shows and Kingdom performances!
@@Resistance_Is_Futile1of3 I wish .... am trying to learn korean atm, but that is quite the task if you aren't surrounded by native speakers and don't really use the language. I speak english and german fluently, I can figure out spanish and italian pretty good, as well as danish and swedish.
@@NeonReactionsPierre I know what you mean.. I speak native Cali American English with a side of southern OK drawl which means most of the county look at me strangely when I give a speech. I learn some Korean words/phases watching SKZ stuff which I can scream at the PC during the videos, it makes me feel like I accomplished something.. lol.. Suggestion - since you like rap, find the U-tubers ITs Andy and Jas chn - They both can break down the Korean lyrics in the Korean songs and explain away just how amazing and talented at word play "3racha" truly is. Chan watches their channel and like their feedback. U-tubers Handsome Sausages on the "prior producers-music side" are good also.. Just hearing the actual meaning behind the music/song made me like it more. I was not a big rap fan at first but getting a clearer meaning of what SKZ are saying, changes whole lot of attitude from me. I appreciate and love the control of the flow (Easy) only one of my fave songs. Maybe look up their reactions the songs God's Menu and Hellevator since you have heard it first already... for research purposes..😊for yourself..
Thanks for another great reaction and welcome to Stayville! Skz is an amazingly talented group of guys that caught me off guard a few years back. I look forward to your journey through their music. Stays are always happy to go along for the ride!
I am so here for your new journey into the wonderful world of Stray Kids!! Not only are they incredibly talented, but they are genuinely good people. Excited for you to see more of this amazing group!
yup this was PREdebut, shows how hard they worked and how talented they are, any group that makes their own music just seems so much more connected to their songs which makes the song sound even better
That is true. I feel the same with (G)I-dle. They are different in a way because Soyeon makes most of the music and the others bring their ideas and own compositions into it too... They are active musicians making music ... and not just good singers singing a song somebody wrote.
I love this song. Though they looked like seasoned pros, they were just kids (all but one were teens-- hell, half the group was 16 years old at the time of filming). A few months back, I got to see them, as grown men, perform this very song that started it all, and it was very sentimental for both them and the audience. It was sorta like "thanks for walking along with us on this difficult journey." Want to watch the making of this very song? Even though the leader chose the members of the group, the company founder still wanted to have them do tasks/challenges to make sure everyone was ready to debut. So, they did a survival show. For the first test, he wanted them to write a song from scratch. This is that first song they made! You can see the survival show here on YT, and the making of "Hellevator" is on episode 2, part 5. At the beginning of the video, you'll see the 19-year-old leader at his computer working on the track. Next, you will see the two main rappers sitting at a table thinking up lyrics, scribbling in a notebook. The one on the left is the one who did that amazing first rap that sounded like 2 people. He had just turned 18 like a few weeks before and was a high school senior. The 16-year-old on the right not just raps in the song (in the video, he was the guy alone in the elevator with the hell button lol), but he sings all the lines with really high notes. Watching those kids create this song will leave you speechless, they're so talented. You'll see and hear a lot about those three guys in Stayville-- they're the songwriting/production team, 3Racha. By now, they each have somewhere between 125-160 copyright credits to their names, not sure of the latest total. If I'm off, it ain't by much. And that's APIECE, not a cumulative total. They are (in the order I described them) Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han. Enjoy watching their process, it's truly fascinating!
Thanks for the info. They seem to be really awesome and I am excited to go on this journey. I guess I'll watch the show on my own time. It would be too many episodes for the channel.
Stray Kids don't miss. You hear this sometimes but with SKZ, it's 100% accurate. I'm a Hyunjin/Felix co-bias, but Han wrecks me at times. There are no weak links in this group in any respect. They are all 11/10. Hyunjin, Felix, Han, (Bang) Chan, Changbin, Lee Know, I.N., & Seungmin. Woojin was their 9th member but left the group fairly early on. The Fandom is "STAY". Take the "r" from "Stray" = "Stay" because the fans are the "r"eason for the group to exist, musically. They have a huge discography but some of my favorites (I'll probably forget some) are: Venom, Circus, The Sound, Easy, (Hellevator), Case 143, S-Class, Maniac, Thunderous, Miroh, BackDoor, God's Menu, Topline, Domino, Awkward Silence, Cheese, Double Knot, Side Effects & Super Board Welcome to the SKZ Rabbit Hole... there's no point in trying to find the exit.
Thank you for reacting to this song. And you will see, the guys are very talented and they write so many different songs, from romantic ballads to very mind-blowing (in good sence!) ones. I think absolutely every person can find the song that they will like among their very wide discography. I recommend Back Door and Taste songs (my favourite s) 😊.. Welcome, Baby Stay! (that is a name for all new fans who just learned and liked SKZ)😊
Thank you for the reaction! 🤗 Hellevator is an amazing song and it gained even more meaning for me when I watched the survival show (the whole pre-debut album Mixtape in general). Others probably already mentioned it, but it wasn‘t a typical survival show where contestants competed against each other to get into the group. The members were already chosen before by Bang Chan (Jyp and the company trusted him here a lot bc he was a trainee for 7 years with lots of experience) and they fought to debut together. If you wanna watch it in the future (even on your own time), it definitely helped me getting a better understanding where they were coming from and their hardships. You can see all the work they put into this and how they were working on songs as well. Looking forward to more of your videos! And btw when you‘re a rap fan, Stray Kids are definitely for you bc they have lots of rap heavy songs 😊
YEAH! Thank you so much. Yes I think I will watch that on my own time. Its so many episodes, I'd be recording and posting until my hair is fully grey. Nice to have you here!
OMG, thank you so much for reacting to Stray Kids! I really enjoyed watching your video :D I really recommend to check their song "The Sound". It's not that popular, but it has sth special. I would die from happiness if you react to Day6 someday (they are a Korean boy band, rock band from the same agency as Stray Kids - JYP Ent.) :D
Thank you very much! Glad you liked it. I've got an endless list, I bet the sound is on it :) I've read the name Day6 on the JYP channel but haven't looked into them since they were male :) SKZ are actually the first male kpop group I am listening to. Before that it was all about the girls for me...
@@NeonReactionsPierre yeah, you said that in your first stray Kids reaction. Even if u are not interested in male groups its good to know some different parts of Korean music industry. And who knows, maybe u will like some male artists as much u like girl groups :D
Their debut song, Distict 9, is also really good. Miroh, another one of their older songs is one i listen to all the time. But if you want DIFFERENT...Side Effects. I don't want to say anything about it because i feel like it'll be better to just jump right into it knowing nothing. Oh yeah! And i'm sure any guide will tell you, as well as other comments, but they write ALL of their songs and produce them, or at least have a hand in producing them. Just knowing that all the lyrics and melodies come from them makes me love them all the more. They give us everything and spoil us like crazy.
For real ! Me as a baby stay I was really shocked then when I heard them for the first time but now I see Them as My hope and I really hýpe wiith their music
I really like that you pay attention to the lirics as well as the "'message". Because a lot of youtubers just listen to the music and don't know what their song is about. And it's not just their music that's incredibly catchy. They're often singing about very important things. You have to respond Side effects and Freeze too! 😉 I'm glad I found your Sraykids videos, I followed you 👍
Thank you so much. I am a musician myself and know what it means to write lyrics and fill them with a story and emotions. So that is a thing I like to look at in a song.
Hello. I decided that I want to see all your reactions to Stray kids. I usually write a lot so don't be scared. Helevator is a special song. This is such a powerful application! Seungmin's introduction is unforgettable! He has such a clear voice! And Seungmin is constantly evolving!
Thank you very much... nice to have you here! Feel free to write ... I try my best to answer every comment.... it is becoming harder but I am still keeping up pretty good...
Yeah. Hellevator has such a deep impact. Funny thing? When they were told to make a song, Bang Chan had 3 tracks prepared for the others to listen to. This one was titled Elevator, and it was Changbin who came up with adding the H to it. The H would symbolize either heaven or hell. They were already in "hell" and the elevator would take them to "heaven". I do hope you keep my story list in mind as you go forwards with listening to older tracks. But Hellevator is actually the title track of a album that they made for the survival show. It has 7 songs on it, and of those there are only 3 MVs. Hellevator, Grr(Beware), and Spread My Wings. (Or Young Wings. It can be found with both) This album was put together after the survival show ended, but before they debut. It gathered all the songs from the survival show, and allowed them to do them as a 9 member group. Ignore what's in the brackets if you want to watch the survival show. (Because during the show 2 members got eliminated, they wanted to make the songs again with all of them.) These are worth watching to see how SKZ have grown over the years. The survival show was in 2017. They released the Mixtape album in early 2018, and then debut later that year. It is incredibly impressive what they have accomplished in such a short time. When they were doing the survival show, Bang Chan wasn't even 20 yet. The youngest was only 16. The talent & humbleness of these men is truly astounding.
An exciting journey awaits you. 😊 I still don't know which song is my favorite, I want to say these words to every song. But the most emotional and none comparable is Hellevator, love this song, I love the history of its creation.
Hi Pierre! I watched your first reaction to Stray Kids and now I'm here. I've seen many, many reactors to Stray Kids, but you are close to the first with sincere and genuine interest in not only the music, but the message, the creativity, and the artists (the boys). I was fortunate enough to see SKZ in concert last summer and wow, I have to tell you their show was amazing. If you ever get an opportunity don't miss out! I'm not a fan of girl groups and really only have three guy K-pop groups I pay attention to - SKZ, Monsta X and The Rose. But I really want to go on this Stray Kids journey with you so I'm subscribing and plan to watch your Guide to Stray Kids reaction as soon as I have time. I've actually never seen a guide video yet so now is a great time to start!
Thank you very much. My interest in story and message must come from me being an avid reader and a big fan of good stories. I'm almost only into the girl groups. this here being my first and only boy group up to now. I do prefer a female voice when listening to a song. Of course there are a few male voices I like but I would say its 80-20 for the girls. Thank you for the sub. Happy to have you here :)
@@NeonReactionsPierre I'm the same but opposite! 80/20 for male voices. I wonder of our gender has anything to do with it. (I'm female). Or just a personal preference. In any case, diversity makes the world go round!
Stray Kids is ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 since the Day-0. They wrote their own musics, and the main producing team on the group called 3RACHA (Bangchan, Changbin and Han) have been produced many songs even before Stray Kids formed. They uploaded them on soundcloud and 3RACHA's youtube channel. Their lyrics are so thoughtfull, that is one of the million reasons why i love them. 3RACHA was a rap team, maybe you can check them out later After you feel comfortable and contained enough with Stray Kids' stuffs ❤
u are just like me when i learning abut skz u know this song really hit me hard and one of my favorite song from stray kids this song reminding me about my childhood when i see red/orange sunset when i sad about and worried about grown up btw if u can and have time please do reaction skz code episode i want laughing together bc they just so funny
I LOVE THIS REACTION! 3RACHA (the production unit) was a thing way before Stray Kids debuted. They literally made songs from when they were like what 15, 16? Maybe younger. JYP was not even AWARE they posted those songs 😂 They were mostly based on rap, considering they were all great rappers! The dance line, DANCERACHA, and vocal line VOCALRACHA, were announced after debut! DANCERACHA help the members learn choreography and contribute to ideas in the choreo department! VOCALRACHA basically represent the group as vocalists wherever they go, they contribute to a lot of vocal in Stray Kids songs! Stray Kids are massive blinks. I'll just say that. To be honest they are just girl group stans in general. I'm just gonna leave a few song recommendations here: If you like the more rock based title tracks from Dreamcatcher I recommend Awaken and Yayaya (they have more rock songs but I think these are the ones that lean most in this genre). Very energetic songs. Sadly they do not have music videos though. Yayaya is part of their predebut album "Mixtape" and Awaken is on their debut album "I am NOT". I love Awaken especially, the raps, the lyrics, everything xd Side effects has got to be one of the most unique title tracks in kpop, falling in the psytrance genre. Also the lyrics and choreo...overall it's such a good song. Being a title track, it also has an MV. It was the last era in which ex member Woojin was part of Stray Kids. I'd also want to recommend "Slump" even tho im sure people recommended it already! You can look for the live version on the first take channel! It's the ending song for the anime "Tower of God" and there are 3 versions of this song: Japanese, Korean and English. The lyrics are written by Han, one of the main rappers, and they hit so deep. He wrote it when he was in a creative slump himself. Def one of my favs. It also has a bit of rock influence but its much more laid back. And my favorite Stray Kids song is "Silent cry". It's an upbeat song with...deep lyrics :') No MV tho.
Yes, Stray Kids are talented musicians, and because they write their own lyrics their messages are full of meaning. If you appreciate music, there is no way you will not love Stray Kids. Besides the albums they produce, the members also put out singles they produce themselves, for free, on TH-cam, just for Stays enjoyment!! Han just a few days ago released a song (you can only find it on TH-cam) called Miserable. I highly recommend it, and would love for you to react to it.
This song shows that ever since debut they're really talented. We got one of our main rappers (Han Jisung) doing those high notes at the chorus, and the lyrics of this song really hits
Its really good.
Stray kids is one of the few groups that writes their own music, produces their own music, and does most of their own choreography. Listen to maniac, thunderous, and everything else you can. Their range is incredible. When youtiful came out I sent the video to my daughters for the positive message.
That is cool. I love the positivity in kpop
They just said f*** it and did their thing. JYP knew he was doing the right thing when he let them do their thing....
@@thatstay3916did they release jyp's song, and if yes, which one is it?
@@fdfg-fz9gg All In! 3RACHA did the lyrics and added to the production! They also made sure he didn’t add the Jyp whisper LOL
@@thatstay3916 JYP actually also has creative credit for lyrics on Levanter and My pace, although he's 4th in input behind all of 3racha. But he didn't help with composing either of those songs like he did All in.
…and it just gets better…and better…and better…and better!
woooohoooo
Stray Kids are amazing! I am a 48 year old woman who came across God's Menu and Felix's voice a little over a year ago and I have been a Stay ever since! Not only can they sing, rap, and dance, but they are lyricists and producers who create amazing songs and videos. Welcome to Stay-ville! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, yes they seem like a really good group. I like what I am seeing and hearing up to now.
First section it was not 2 rappers but only one, Changbin. He is impressive in his ability to change flows and voice colours.
He was the one opening God's Menu "in your face".
You'll soon learn to recognize them all.
Warm welcome to STAYville ❤
Oh thank you... that is cool. It really sounded like two voices there...
It's a very personal song to them, and you literally get to see the creative process of it during the survival show: you see them writing their raps, creating the melody, coming up with the title, learning the choreography, everything. Not only do they write/produce, they also created the name "Stray Kids", the leader hand picked the members and also made the logo! The amount of dedication 😂
I'm happy JYP allows them to have this much control, he really trusts them!
I can't help but feel like all title tracks are a must listen!😂
Side effects, Levanter, Maniac, My pace, I am YOU...if you read the lyrics these songs become so much more meaningful! And those are just a few examples!
Btw: the rap in the first verse was rapped by just 1 rapper! His name is Changbin and even tho Stray Kids dont have official positions he's considered the main rapper! Han is also considered a main rapper, he's the 2nd rapper in the 2nd verse and also the 3rd rapper in the bridge (he's also the one who sung the high note!)
When they first showed this song to JYP he literally told them the range is too high xd
They didn't really change it tho, if anything their debut was even higher.
1) Most of their music videos are connected and they have a multiverse kind of thing where they have had other versions of them, sometimes even having to fight against those versions
2) They have spoilers EVERYWHERE! In music videos, in lyrics, on stage, during lives, and even with clothing. As you see more things you can see a lot of references to their other work. (Even as a hawk-eyed, ancient STAY I am still finding stuff)
3) When you start to understand their personalities and morals you will fall unavoidablly more in love with them.
Yea I get it. This one threw its hooks at me and I guess I'm caught too
Love your enthusiasm for Stray Kids!
Yes I am really happy too. I enjoy what they do and enjoy the thoughts behind it all...
I am still in awe of this song, even after 5-6 years. I think I was booked and done Stay after I heard it for the first time. It's still one of my all-time favorite song. Love SKZ ❤
I like it better after every listen.
There are actually 9 members here, one left for personal reasons so now there are just the 8
The fact that they produce their own music and write their own lyrics since even before the start of their career.. really just- WOAH. And the fact that they were so young when they made this song💔
I’m here for this journey! If you want their other predebut tracks, Grr and Spread My Wings are next chronologically. They were performance videos from their predebut mixtape.
thank you
I’m so happy you like Stray Kids. They have amazing music. They also have vocal songs, not only rap heavy ones. Just have a listen to the live version of “Slump”. You will be surprised by how good they all are.
All their songs have great messages.
Thank you. I am so excited for this journey...
YES..WELCOME TO STAYVILLE
thank you
This reaction was everything! With Stray Kids you don't fall down the rabbit hole, at least I didn't. One taste and I straight up dove in head first 😂. ❤ this, and can't wait to see the next 😊
Thank you, glad you liked it.
Welcome baby stay!!! Love your reactions. I appreciate your thoughtful approach.
YEAH! Ima baby Stay :) Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
3:15 Changbin And 7:08 Han
Again thank you so much I can't wait for you to keep digging and of course you are very welcome to STAYville, have a nice day✨🥰✨
Thank you, you have a nice day too :)
In the excerpt from Bang Chan (leader of Stray Kids) he says:
"My boys spit out facts that they latched and loaded.
Still on the grind, you better watch out for the brothers
Masterminds, the perfect trio bonded by blood
Musketeers of making music, one for all and all for one"
That's the perfect description of the 8 members "one for all and all for one".
I will always be following your reactions.
(translated with Google Translator)
Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes it seems to be a one way ticket ... aaaaaaahhhhhhhh
Nice to have you here
And by the way, they write, make and produce all of their songs. So what you hear is 100% them.
They have 3 subdivisions of the group:
3Racha- the rap unit who are also the producers of the songs.
Danceracha- the main dancers who do and teach the choreographies,
Vocalracha- the vocal team, who are responsible for the vocals.
When you will see a guide you will learn more about the subdivisions. They also have individual songs or only part of the group songs.
Very cool. The guide will definitely be a good start.
See? That’s why they are so unique. No one can copy them. You’re gonna love them more. Anyway, your reactions are so precious.❤
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
They're so good, it's crazy.
Yes :)
One thing I love about skz is their meaningfull lyrics. They always put so much thought in their songs. Great reaction😊
I can't wait to see what else they have in store.....
Thank you :) I am really liking what I heard here. They are good, can't wait to hear more now
Thanks for reaction🎉
Thank YOU
Thank you for the reaction amazing, I think you need to follow the journey from the beginning it is their story and worth the time
I will check it out, thank you
After watching this, Youre one of the very few reactors who are very receptive, in that you take almost everything in from the music, lyrics, visuals.
Thank you. Yea I just felt like I need to get into this now. I am starting to like them very much.
@@NeonReactionsPierre I'm so glad to hear!! Your enthusiasm towards them is great
Happy day☀️Many thx👏 Stray Kids 💯 ♾️ So looking forward to following U SKZ journey 🎶🎵
Thank you so much. Glad you are here...
Welcome to stayville!!! There are m many more songs to watch!!!

Thank you very much. Yes I feel like I am going to like this journey a lot!
I'm excited to watch your journey!
Definitely tuning in~!
Thank you, I'm happy you're here!
Stray Kids are well known for their exceptional rappers. The cool thing is....all eight of them can rap, which is not common for a K-pop group. *Usually* a group has one or two rappers. (There are exceptions, of course.)
Stray Kids has a core group that raps much more frequently than the others, but when the song needs it, all eight of them can easily do it. (Also....fun fact.....all of their rappers can actually SING, too. They have great vocals.)
Their debut song is "District 9." You will see some great rapping in that song. When SKZ debuted and the song was released in March 2018, it pretty much kicked the industry in the AZZ.
I am really excited about them now after seeing and hearing this one.
Yassss, so excited for you to slowly become a STAY and join the family. you will not regret it.
Debut Next? District 9
Guide and then debut or the latest 5 star (to compare with pre debut)
@@NeonReactionsPierre the longer guides os worth it. i Feel the short guides does not do the SKZ justice and show all their versatility and Dualities 🫶🏻👊🏻
Yes.. Agree with you.. I really love SKZ beside their good music, they wrote nice, positive and motivational lyrics... We can related it...
this song was just such an incredible way to place their very first mark on the industry.. they are such incredible artists. their songs can get DEEP. ranging from heartbreaking to inspirational. it’s always a trip going through their discography.
it doesn’t seem like you noticed in this video, but just to avoid some confusion, i think its good for me to point out now, if you are going to be watching old music videos so early in your journey. but at this time until october of 2019, stray kids had 9 members. i wont go into any detail about what happened in this comment but if you are ever curious id be happy to give you a, sorta breif, explanation in a way thats as unbiased and as factual as i possibly can do. the most important thing to know right now is that they are 8 members and they are happy as 8 ❤️
it’s always nice to see people go all the way back and see where they came from. just a bunch of teenagers trying to get their message out to the world and they did it😢
thank you again for reacting to stray kids. i truly hope you continue to enjoy your journey and im excited to come along for the ride!!
Woohoo! thank you. Yes some others have already mentioned the 9 members. I can't even tell them apart at this point, let alone put names to their faces, so I am ok. The song was great, I loved it and I think the ride will be awesome. Nice to have you on board!
Can you believe this is all created by Channie, Han and Changbin and had just some guidance by JYP. The boys did this ALL!!! Group handpicked by Chan!
yea, they're really good
They started as a group of 9 members but 1 left due to personal reasons so now they are 8
I've never been a rap fan (I'm 37 and I listen to music of different genres), but the way these guys hooked me so much that I became a Stay.
Thank you! Yea I guess I'll be watching the guide tomorrow and then I'll be much more confused, err educated... haha
Stray Kids💗
😀😀
The live performance of Hellevator is a must to watch!!!!
ok sounds good
My first foray into KPop was watching a reaction to Stray Kids Maniac. I decided to find out more and watched their survival show and that really gave me a good insight to how they tick and I’ve been a Stay ever since. I love their passion, talent and energy and they just seem to keep on moving on an upward trajectory. I’m going to enjoy watching you come to know them too.
Thank you, thats cool. Great to have you here, welcome aboard!
I really like your reactions. I'm Stay, I like to see how Stray kids' music captures you as much as it once did me.
I’m a simple person. I see stray kids, I click…..and subscribe 😊
Just on the lyrics, stray kids are master lyricists.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Up to now I really like what I am hearing.
Yes they are really good and I am really enjoying myself. I can't wait to hear more.....

Thanks to google I can read Japanese :) :) Yes there will be more Stray Kids in the future on this channel.
@@NeonReactionsPierre Aww I thought you just had a talent for languages...
Same, i didn't watch any guide till way later in my stay journey. Its really easy to pick up who's who and they're just amazing performers ❤
They did a great job here.
Thanks for another great reaction and welcome to Stayville! Skz is an amazingly talented group of guys that caught me off guard a few years back. I look forward to your journey through their music. Stays are always happy to go along for the ride!
Thank you, yes i am beginning to become a Stay..... I guess .... maybe .... yes
I am so here for your new journey into the wonderful world of Stray Kids!! Not only are they incredibly talented, but they are genuinely good people. Excited for you to see more of this amazing group!
Thanks a lot! You actually named yourself McHammer ..... haha... memories. You can't touch this ....
yup this was PREdebut, shows how hard they worked and how talented they are, any group that makes their own music just seems so much more connected to their songs which makes the song sound even better
It was sorta like "thanks for walking along with us on this difficult journey."
Want to watch the making of this very song?
They have a huge discography but some of my favorites (I'll probably forget some) are: Venom, Circus, The Sound, Easy, (Hellevator), Case 143, S-Class, Maniac, Thunderous, Miroh, BackDoor, God's Menu, Topline, Domino, Awkward Silence, Cheese, Double Knot, Side Effects & Super Board
Welcome to the SKZ Rabbit Hole... there's no point in trying to find the exit.
Thank you :) ..."there's no point in trying to find the exit" ... that must be the warmest welcome for anybody that got stuck in a hole .... hahaha.
Loving these reactions, you put your thoughts into such clear words! Glad you enjoy stray kids, looking forward to more videos :D
Thank you, glad you enjoy it :)
YEA! thank you for taking me in... I will try to be a good baby Stay
@@NeonReactionsPierre Nice to hear! And yeah it's probably better to watch it on your own bc of copyright as well 👀 Would be difficult on yt.
Hellevator is masterpiece ❤
Subscribed! Love to see you take this journey with Stray kids and Stay.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. Nice to have you here!
Thank you for your reaction ❤ please keep supporting them ❤
Thank you, I will
Hace 5 añitos eran unos nenes el principio de su carrera y han logrado mucho estan muy alto 🙏los amo❤❤❤
Even though they were young, this was a strong song.... I like it.
I will, thank you
@@NeonReactionsPierre Gracias a ti ,esperaré tus reacciones
Their debut song, Distict 9, is also really good. Miroh, another one of their older songs is one i listen to all the time. But if you want DIFFERENT...Side Effects. I don't want to say anything about it because i feel like it'll be better to just jump right into it knowing nothing. Oh yeah! And i'm sure any guide will tell you, as well as other comments, but they write ALL of their songs and produce them, or at least have a hand in producing them. Just knowing that all the lyrics and melodies come from them makes me love them all the more. They give us everything and spoil us like crazy.
I really like that aspect about them. They are actual musicians and not just good singers like many in the kpop industry.
Yup! There is no escape from the Stray Kids! Welcome to Stay-ville 😊
Thank you :)
For real ! Me as a baby stay I was really shocked then when I heard them for the first time but now I see Them as My hope and I really hýpe wiith their music
I like what they do up to now.... Stay in the making here..
I really like that you pay attention to the lirics as well as the "'message". Because a lot of youtubers just listen to the music and don't know what their song is about.
And it's not just their music that's incredibly catchy.
They're often singing about very important things.
You have to respond Side effects and Freeze too! 😉
I'm glad I found your Sraykids videos, I followed you 👍
Thank you so much. I am a musician myself and know what it means to write lyrics and fill them with a story and emotions. So that is a thing I like to look at in a song.
Watching you is making my little stay heart so happy!
I'm happy you're enjoying it 😊😊
❤❤❤...yes the messages in their songs are always positive.....
❤❤❤
Thanks... yea I'm keeping that in mind. Copied it to a txt file on my desktop. This song was a banger! I loved it.
@@NeonReactionsPierre That's awesome. There is so much music they have put out, some has no MVs for it, but they are worth listening to as well.
Welcome to Stayville.. you dont have to be crazy to be here but it helps lol .. can't wait to see more reactions from you .
Well, I am nuts, so that was almost like the fee to get the ticket here... hahaha
Thank you for your reaction.
Please watch the debut song... District 9 and Thunderous and Maniac.
Stray Kids are amazing
incoming
An exciting journey awaits you. 😊
I still don't know which song is my favorite, I want to say these words to every song. But the most emotional and none comparable is Hellevator, love this song, I love the history of its creation.
I'll watch the show from where it came ... on my own time though. Yes I am excited for all the new songs I will hear.... thanks for being here!
Yea, each to his-her own... I'm liking the ladies 😉😎
OMG i love your reaction! Skz have a amazing music, i hope u can react more songs!
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it. More is planned and on the way :)
aaaaaa I love your reaction! and the way you speak is so relaxing 😊 welcome to Stayville!
Thank you so much, glad you liked it. Welcome aboard!
Welcome to Stray Kids!!! Hope you STAY :D
Looks like I will. I'm liking what I hear and see. Thanks for the warm welcome. 😊
Just let you know that han jisung's song secret secret and silent cry are connecting. It's like silent cry the answer of secret secret, it's so good
Stray Kids is ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 since the Day-0.
Thank you that sounds like a great idea
Welcome to the journey!!!!!
Thank you!
u are just like me when i learning abut skz
u know this song really hit me hard and one of my favorite song from stray kids
this song reminding me about my childhood when i see red/orange sunset when i sad about and worried about grown up
btw if u can and have time please do reaction skz code episode i want laughing together bc they just so funny
Thank you... I might do that 😊
By the way, the original choreography for Helevator was developed by Minho (LeeKnow).
Welcome to the SKZ LORE!!
Thank you
I LOVE THIS REACTION!
3RACHA (the production unit) was a thing way before Stray Kids debuted. They literally made songs from when they were like what 15, 16? Maybe younger. JYP was not even AWARE they posted those songs 😂
They were mostly based on rap, considering they were all great rappers!
I'm just gonna leave a few song recommendations here:
If you like the more rock based title tracks from Dreamcatcher I recommend Awaken and Yayaya (they have more rock songs but I think these are the ones that lean most in this genre).
Very energetic songs. Sadly they do not have music videos though. Yayaya is part of their predebut album "Mixtape" and Awaken is on their debut album "I am NOT".
I love Awaken especially, the raps, the lyrics, everything xd
Side effects has got to be one of the most unique title tracks in kpop, falling in the psytrance genre.
It's an upbeat song with...deep lyrics :')
No MV tho.
Thank yo so much! I really appreciate it. They are all Blinks!! That is the best info there :) Thanks for the suggestions :)
YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT THE 2022 AND 2023 VERSIONS OF HELLEVATOR FROM THEIR MANIAC TOUR ❤
It just keeps getting better every year ❤
the compouse and produce themselves, in that song even the coreography is from Lee Know one of them
That is cool
you gotta react to hellevator in concert, it's a one way trip
Changbin, bang chan and Han made This song❤
Yes, Stray Kids are talented musicians, and because they write their own lyrics their messages are full of meaning. If you appreciate music, there is no way you will not love Stray Kids. Besides the albums they produce, the members also put out singles they produce themselves, for free, on TH-cam, just for Stays enjoyment!! Han just a few days ago released a song (you can only find it on TH-cam) called Miserable. I highly recommend it, and would love for you to react to it.
They truely seem to be great guys. Thank you :)
beat was made by the leader, lyrics by them too
awesome!
