Now I can control my window properly and it doesn’t show that it’s open on the dash board,aaannnd I can finally set the car alarm and here it beep in the parking lots!!!

Has anyone experienced issues withe power window not working if there is a faulty door lock actuator? I think I have a bad actuator (sensor) as my radio stays on after opening the drivers door for a long time, the door ajar light doesn't come on and nor does my interior dome light when the drivers door is opened. I have replaced the power window switch and this didn't fix the window problem but researching it seems the door lock actuator has a sensor that talks to the BCM and so I am thinking that if the internal sensor is not working this may stop my power window regulator motor to operate.
I have the same problem with my car. Both the power window and door lock sensor are not working. Logically, both items can't be faulty at the same timing. It makes sense that the door lock mechanism will affect the power window stopped working. I will try to replace the door lock first. Thanks for sharing
@@kennyong1622 Hi - just an update - I ended up having to replace the power window switch assembly and the window regulator motor. I took my car to my local dealer and initially they thought it was just the switch (I had already replaced the switch myself from an auto wreckers) so they installed a new one. However, they had to also install a new window regulator motor to get my window to operate. Both parts talk the BCM and after they were replaced it resolved my issue with radio turning itself off when the driver's door is open. My door ajar light also comes on like it should now also. Hope this helps!
What adhesive did you use to reinstall the insulation?
My driver door doesn’t lock when using the remote or dashboard button. I also try pushing down on the rod to lock the door but it automatically unlocks without the rob ever extending out. Does that sound like an actuator replacement needed?
It would be worth it to try changing the actuator out as the symptoms you have described seems like things that would be caused by this.
What if my door wont open?? Is this what I would need to do
I recently had the window regulator replaced due to window getting stuck. Now the car horn wont chirp when remotely locked and the inside dome light stays on. However if i manually push the dome light to off and remotely lock it. The car horn will chirp. I replaced the negative battery terminal cable but still no fix same issue.

That looked like new, was it a recycled part? The exterior door handle can stay on. That makes things a little easier.. Thanks again for showing this.. Not that bad, but expensive parts for just the motor actuator!

I'm currently having an issue with mine. The door ajar alarm keeps going off along with the dome lights and then it'll start saying theft attempted. Took it into the dealership to get fixed twice now and still having the same issue. They installed a new door lock twice and have no idea whats causing the issue.
My mechanic replaced this and car is still saying the door is opened ?

What issues are people having to make them replace the actuator? My sons door sticks when using the door handle in or outside. We literally have to pull the handle and push or pull the door to open.
What's up with GM vehicles and the door lock actuators going bad...I just had to do it on my 2018 Volt. I bought the car to drive it so it's just over its warranty. I paid 100 for the OEM part and took almost 2 hours to install. The dealer wanted 500 bucks for parts and labor.
So my cruze just started this my alarm will randomly go off and now shows my driver back door is open when it's closed. Do you think its the actuator?
That does sound like a symptom of the actuator going bad. I would replace it in your scenario.

It wouldn't always unlock when I told it would. All the other doors would, but this one would be intermittent.

What was the issue for you doing the replacement?
+tinamean1 I would push the lock or unlock button and it would only sometimes work. Gave me false positives when I would lock my doors using the key fob
IDK if I need to replace my? Some time it locks and sometimes it doesn't, but when I try opening the door it's sticks and I have to put the handle again inside and outside!!
I have 2011 version. Would you say that device is reason my key does not unlock any door? My drivers side has issues unlocking so I think it is the device for that door but all of them? hmm... is the 4-door dependent on the driver side unlocking first?
So, I would assume this is your problem if your driver door won’t unlock when you push the button. I do know there is a setting on the radio to control if you push the unlock button, whether if it unlocks the driver door only or all doors.
@@theripper20031 were you able to fix the issue. On my sons car we pull the handle while literally pushing or pulling the door. It sticks closed.
Between this and blend door actuators chevy should be smacked. Ac heat actuators are pure trash
