WOW! Cody Swanson is truly in a league of his own. Congratulations.

Cody Swanson is the definition of a man living his dream. He's very emotional in every one of his wins and it's really good to see. A lot of guys take it for granted that they get to do something they love. It's racing so there is always a struggle in some way shape or form but, Cody seems to enjoy every win like it's his first.

I love the look of those cars! They still have the lines of a classic monoposto.

Australian Sprintcar fan here. Why are the stands almost uninhabited at the racing of these beautiful Racecars? How have they lost so much fan support? Or is it just me?

They often dont draw a crowd.
This was preliminary event to an indy car race. I dont know if it was done the day before or early in the same day. IDK if being attached to a bigger event helps or hurts attendance.
Whatever the case, racing in america is down in general, and anything that isnt stock cars is especially down.
Its a shame, because this is such a great series. And the tickets are cheap.

@@frenzalrhomb6919 USAC gets big crowds in Indiana. In general stock cars are more popular than sprint cars in the u.s. However there are still pockets in the Midwest where sprints are still king namely central Pennsylvania, ohio and indiana, iowa, parts of Missouri and North and South dakota. Most of the most well known dirt tracks that draw the biggest crowds namely Eldora, Knoxville, Williams Grove, and Huset's Speedway are in these areas.
NASCAR (stock cars) is actually declining in popularity and Dirt track racing is growing again but its a slow process. Dirt late models which are fendered cars are also pretty popular in the u.s and compete for fans. I enjoy both sprint cars and dirt late models, nascar bores me to tears.
Premier Speedway in warnambool looks really cool

They do. It's only super dangerous in the very rare event of a direct car-to-car hit in the top of the cage.

These cars are surprisingly safe, just tough when hit directly in the top of the cage. I DO agree this is too big a track for them but… it’s where they raced so…
For anyone saying “racing is meant to be dangerous”- you are completel children. Racing is a dangerous sport, yes. But safety is still a priority and saying things like that reveals your lack of education and understanding about the sport- as well as your immaturity.

sure they are more wild and have quicker take off, but these are the modern day versions of the earliest form of racing, big roadsters, though they only look like the old roadsters if you look at them from the side, they are the modern dirt indy circuit cars, and are second in power only to the 410 sprints in power, sure the long races can be a settle in sort of thing but they are absolutely fast, even more then a nascar in certain situations as they dont race usually the same tracks.
in other words though they might look like giant usac sprints they are the closest thing to the old indy cars and fairground racers of the earliest days, and are still plenty dangerous and a challenge to hold going for 100 miles no stopping only for yellow flags or red, and they have the same ceremonies and lead up as indy cars of today and started with a starter motor the same way. in otherwords its something you should at least experiance even if its not quite as heart pounding as the short short tracks, that is if you like indycars

@@the805outlaw that's true.you make a good assessment there.but when it comes to sprint and midgets I'm more for them being on dirt.a cousin of mine ran a 360 winged sprint for a few yrs at the grand daddy track for sprints. Knoxville Iowa.and they just had the nationals there this last week.
But everyone has their own preference and opinion,so neither way is wrong. I've watched the sprints at Little Indianapolis. Anderson,Indiana. But I've yet to make it to the nationals or to the Chili Bowl yet.but I used to drive truck a few yrs back.was in a truck stop and a tower home parked beside me got to talk with he and his wife for about 3 hours.the old couple had 4 midgets and even had Kyle Larson drive for them at one point.the stories the old man told was just WOW.could have talked longer with them.the truck stop I was in was Flying J there in Barstow

@@deannederhoff yea sprints on paved is not nearly as fun its fast yes, but they dont do the cool slide thing near as good, and you dont get the cool spray, but just saying even if silver crown aint your cup of tea you got to admit the history and linniage behind it, I have yet to see a dirt mile race thanks to the indiana state fair when we were about 3 weeks away from one last hoosier hundred, before they decided it was so urgent to complete the conversion to crushed limestone that it could not wait to the last week of may so we could do one last or never mind the fact that now they cant even race theroughbreeds on it or quarter horses only harness and its only for training them as far as I know so they can chase gambling money, but I like the dirt so much as around here all we had was paved the nearest dirt track was bryan and that was only for 2 years that I watched racing that that would have been an option, but my ride with my cousin had to work on monday so no sunday races they were not even an option and then we went to eldora a few times and I liked what I saw, the sliding and dirt spraying on the wall as they hit the apex of the turn, not realizing that eldora was the fastest timeed half mile at the time, went last year for the 4 crown nationals night before and it did not dissappoint, though tyler courtney was qualifying and i did not realize he was up and went for pizza and a stone flew up and hit my knuckle and cut me walking back to my seat but he ended up fast qualifyer that night for the race on saturday, but ended up having issues or a small wreck during the 50 lapper so he lost out that time, but I like dirt now because I did not get to see it much when I was younger, but when it comes to seeing the big cars run in indiana you do what you have to do for the handfull of times they do, irp is nice and winchester is exciting, and maybe one day they will put a temp dirt track down at irp hopfully it will be big enough for a crown race on dirt :)
but I like the winged 410's most though midgets are crazy too just look at bc 39 that was off the walls literlly as the burm got that high they were shooting off of it in the last few laps.
