Great video, as it reflects the tools an average "do-it-yourselfer" would have. My ball joint actually popped completely off today. 70k miles. This video helped tremendously!
I'm having issues getting the 18mm bolts loose for both lower control arms, I'm guessing my bauer impact drill isn't going to work 😅 that's what I get for going cheap.

;Did this job recently. For those who might struggle with the lower ball joint: an alternative way is to disconnect the steering ball joint, disconnect the hub's 2 bolts connection to the spring strut, remove front disc and caliper and take the drive shaft out of the hub. Benefits of doing all this? can easily use a drift to remove bottom ball joint and can easily fit the new one; also on refitting you are lining up the 2 bolt holes in the wishbone with it being in the horizontal position - much easier.
To make your life easier, before you torque the bolts you can lift the car up from the knuckle using a floor jack until it barely lift the car from the jack stands.
@@Wanderrap thanks so much for your immediate reply.. I'm not familiar to cars and hence i may get it changed from a local garage after buying it from the Nissan spare part shop..
@@Wanderrap the front right tire of my juke from the side looks more towards the backward and is not in the centre.. Is that one of the symptom of a bent control arm
I can get the ball joint back in, but not the bolt that goes into the spindle. If I take the ball joint out, I can get the bolt into the spindle fine then I try to put the ball joint in with the bolt in there and it won’t work, I take the bolt out. I can put the ball joint in, but I can’t put the bolt in. It looks like when I looked down the little hole, which is the corridor that the bolt should go through the spindle that holds the ball joint bolt in, the ball joint protrudes in it that hole a little bit and it looks like the bolt has a little concave groove And I’ve tried lining them up. I’ve tried lining them up, but I’m not having any luck. Has anyone experienced this with a 2012 juke sV front wheel drive
Your torque specs are incorrect for the front and rear vertical bolts per factory service manual. The frontward 21mm is 114 ft/lbs. The rearward 18mm is 105 ft/lbs.

Good point!
What do you torque the 2 bolts closer to the motor at

@ Wanderrap great video! I’ve got qashai j11, it is the same torque level or how to know that?
Thanks!I have no idea
clear concise and very well described
Thank you and appreciate the feedback!
Very useful video. I did replacement on my Nissan Leaf. Thank you.
Illia Hapak appreciate the feedback sir
If you leave the nut on the ball joint bolt by a few threads, you can hit the bolt without damaging the end of the bolt.
Good point!
One of my right control arm of nissan juke is bent?
Can i know its approximate cost and is it necessary to change both if one is bent
Hussain hello!I suggest to have both control arms replace if that’s the case. And you also need to have it realign after doing control arm.Around $300.
Hussain but if you’re gonna do it yourself, control arms for a pair will only cost you around $100

I have the same car. I tightened the bushings bolts then lowered the car and left it as it is. Will I have damaged the bushings? What should I do?
You should bring it to a mechanic for proper alignment
@@Wanderrap had alignment done. Going to tighten up the wishbone again today on a flat surface and let you know
Great video. Why do you have to lower the car first before you tighten the last 2 bolts
That’s to prevent premature wear and tear of the bushings
