Excellent video and very helpful. I'll be doing this with basic tools so I'll be letting some WD-40 or similar oil soak the bolts over night to ease their release. Thank you sir, good job 👍

I'm having soooo much more trouble than you appear to have had, putting the bold back into the spindle, after getting the ball joint back in. I was about to pull the ball joint back out, to put the bolt in first, part way. The bold appears to have a concave groove between the top of the threads and the non-threaded long neck. I messed up the threads on the original bolt trying to install it. The bolt spun and the threads got rounded and flattened on the final quarter inch of the bolt's bottom. Did you pry the two halves apart at all? When I have the ball joint in, and look down through the hole that the bold will need to go through, I do see an ever-so-slight protrusion coming from off to one side of the sleeve. The protrusion seen is just a sliver of the edge of the collar from the ball joint bolt........................................................................ Any suggestions?

Replacing and installing the control arm and ball joint on a Nissan Juke can indeed be a tricky task, especially when it comes to aligning everything properly to get the bolt back into place. Here are some steps and suggestions that might help you through this process:
      ### Steps to Replace and Install Control Arm and Ball Joint
      1. **Preparation and Safety:**
      - Ensure the car is securely lifted and supported on jack stands.
      - Remove the wheel to access the control arm and ball joint.
      2. **Removing the Old Control Arm:**
      - Remove any bolts or nuts securing the control arm to the frame and the spindle.
      - Use a ball joint separator to remove the ball joint from the spindle.
      - Be cautious not to damage the threads on the ball joint bolt.
      3. **Installing the New Control Arm:**
      - Position the new control arm in place, aligning it with the frame and spindle mounting points.
      4. **Inserting the Ball Joint:**
      - Insert the ball joint into the spindle.
      - Ensure the ball joint is seated properly and fully inserted.
      5. **Aligning the Bolt:**
      - If you encounter trouble getting the bolt through the spindle and ball joint, follow these suggestions:
      - **Check Alignment:** Ensure the control arm, spindle, and ball joint are perfectly aligned. Misalignment can cause difficulty in getting the bolt through.
      - **Pry Apart Slightly:** If necessary, use a pry bar to gently pry apart the spindle and control arm to create a little more room for the bolt to go through.
      - **Grease the Bolt:** Apply some grease to the bolt to help it slide through more easily.
      - **Use a Guide:** Use a smaller alignment tool or a punch to help guide the bolt through the hole initially. Once aligned, remove the tool and insert the bolt.
      - **Partial Insertion:** Insert the bolt partway first before fully seating the ball joint. This can sometimes make alignment easier.
      6. **Avoiding Thread Damage:**
      - **Inspect the Threads:** Ensure the threads on the bolt are in good condition. If the threads are damaged, replace the bolt.
      - **Thread the Bolt Carefully:** Hand-thread the bolt as far as possible before using any tools to avoid cross-threading.
      - **Avoid Over-tightening:** When tightening, do so gradually and evenly to prevent damaging the threads.
      ### Additional Tips:
      - **Torque Specifications:** Always use the correct torque specifications for the bolts to ensure they are properly secured.
      - **New Hardware:** Consider using new bolts and nuts if the old ones are damaged or corroded.
      - **Professional Help:** If you’re still having trouble, it might be worthwhile to seek help from a professional mechanic to avoid further damage or safety issues.
By following these steps and suggestions, you should be able to successfully replace and install the control arm and ball joint on your Nissan Juke. If you have any specific questions or run into more issues, feel free to ask!
