Take a captivating dash cam tour through the hidden corners of Houma, Louisiana, as we explore this southern city. Join us on this thrilling adventure as we navigate the streets, showcasing the authentic and unfiltered realities of the area.
Houma, Louisiana, with a population of around 33,000, is the heart of Louisiana's bayou country. Nicknamed "The Hub of the Bayou," it's crisscrossed by waterways and serves as a jumping-off point for swamp tours and adventures into the rich ecosystem. Founded by the Houma Native American tribe (the word Houma means "red" in their language), it also has a strong Cajun influence, evident in its music, food, and vibrant Mardi Gras celebrations.
Though the city government merged with the parish government in 1984, Houma retains its unique character. While the oil industry is a major employer, the future of Houma likely lies in balancing its industrial base with its cultural heritage and eco-tourism potential.

I watched this video and the person that recorded and posted this only drove around in circles. He literally crossed a couple bridges and made a circle. There is more in Houma than that. Believe I know!!

Yup, you're right. there is more to Houma then what was posted. I have over 50 minutes of footage and that is still not enough of what Houma has to offer.

You passed our house right up 2x. Rolled right onto Morgan St with no worries! Lol that was brave!!! Crime & drugs are rampet in Houma. Hear gun shots often & drugs are everywhere. Hoping one day to move out. And I'm Native. Definitely not Alaskan lol Ida was a category 5. The government just didn't want to admit that! Boats on the bayous had it clocked as a 5! And you passed up stop signs like no one's business. Behind a cop at that.

You could do 7-vedios or more, starting at Raceland, then stop at the tourist information center. Then take, 308 to Grand-Isle. Show on a map. There are truck stops down there. Same with Venice Louisiana. Pick-up some Tangerines.

There's that mansion as you make that turn, to get on to 308.
