      Please dont ever change anything about this knife. It is perfect as it is, people just need to learn how to use a knife, instead complaining.

      If you could make the Esse Junglas in CPM 3V that would be more so my dream knife.

    It makes me so happy that they didnt put a choil on this knife. Gives me hope knowing that theres still at least one guy out there who knows how to properly desing a knife.

      I totally agree, I hate choils on a knife. We simply dont need them. They just makes a knife less usefull, it's a TH-cam trend. I prefer holding the knife by a handle, not by the blade. This should be something a knife maker understand. Less edge and a bad grip, why. Just make the edge close to the grip and a handle that allowes the hand to come closer to the edge. And it makes a knife weaker on a place that need to be as strong as possible. 🤷🏼‍♂️🔪👍🏻

      O man the Lionsteel 6 looks like a sic knife ! I just dont like that " mini " finger choice at the bottom of blade :( I know thats not what it is and I do know it makes it much easyer to sharpen at the very bottom compared to Junglas ( I loved that esse knife was great ! ) and its CMP 3v could cary that size with my trusty Hultafors Aby axe for camp. I love the esse Junglas because its just pure blade high saber so really strong and no finger choil and thumb ramp and bigger handle is nice for winter gloves. epic warrenty . Once the coating wears off would be awsome if we could get cmp 3v because 1095 will rust just looking at it. I still love 1095 its a cheap steal but a good cheap steal very strong and way easy to sharp compared to sainless steel the Lionsteel would be much safer to server or prep food with compared to the coating of the esses nice review. I still dont like finger choils :P dont use them with winter gloves they can cut em ! that Lions steal looks sic thanks for showing me that bud@@MattRoseKnives

    ive had both, the esee is my 1stline gear the sp-5 is in the trunk. i like having the better sheath out of the box and knowing i can beat it til it breaks is a major win for me, i also like the option to customize or replace the handles and add to the sheath as i see fit which is not possible on the ontario line.

    Everyone: “Finger choil?”
    Esee: “NO!”
    Everyone: “Why?”
    Esee:
    “Because, you’ll buy it anyway”

    I totally agree with you on the hammer pommel vs skull crusher spike thing too.
    I'm always looking to get the most utility out of my blade, over any possible tactical aspects.
    So yes, hammer pommels all the way.
    Unpopular opinion, but I love the Bear Grylls Ultimate Pro *actual* hammer pommel!
    Does get much better than that, on the end of a knife haha.

    No way finger choil is a waste of blade, I dont like them myself. Stronger without them, really better for thinner blades to. To eatch there own though.

    You could pay a little less for something like a Becker BK-9, but most of the other big knives on the market, including the Becker, come in cheap Chinese nylon garbage. So you end up spending $80 to 100+ on a custom kydex sheath, and you're right up there with the cost of the ESEE again. So ESEE saves you a step and sends their knife in a functional sheath, so you pay a little more initially but save time and hassle because you can actually carry your knife to where you need to use it.

    Yeah, Esee is a bit pricey but two things to remember. 1.) made in U.S.A. so expensive labor. But more importantly 2.) You’re paying for that incredible warranty.

    • @CoordinatedCarry
      @CoordinatedCarry 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Butch_Deezlsteak I actually disagree, warranties are there to cover the problems that come up even when you’re doing everything right. Such as manufacturing defects. Esee is a great knife brand, but they’re operated by human beings. Things happen, and when they do, the warranty should be there to cover you & your product. In this case, a knife.

    • @CoordinatedCarry
      @CoordinatedCarry 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Butch_Deezlsteak Ok fair, you make a reasonable point. That said it’s still nice to have that safety net in case you forget to not be stupid for a little while and ruin a knife somehow.

    The sheath is reversible (im lefty) and very few sheaths out there can do this.

  • @user-wd4ge2zh2c
    @user-wd4ge2zh2c หลายเดือนก่อน

    Here is the problem with that. What does it matter whether you remove the 1/8 or 1/16 of an inchvof blade and make it a sharpening choil or keep it there and simply leave it unsharpened? Either way you have an 1/8 or 1/16 or so inch less useable blade length.

    The reasoning that a knife dont cost that much, so i dosent care if it rust. And the knife is still talk about a high quality tool. no no, just take care of your tool.

    I have the green and orange handle Junglas. My Esee 5 is probably my most favorite but the fkn Junglas just gives me a huge smile every time I go to use it. It's just shy of being obnoxious and has a personality that one must learn quickly to respect!!!! I own almost every Esee blade they make and all of them are perfect for my redneck needs. I know if I ever needed to trust my life on an Esee blade that any damn one of them will take care of me if needed. I've did alot of modification to my 6 and my 3. And I like that your able to do that with ease if you want. You can put your own kinda soul into an already badass set of blades to make it that much more personal and something your highly proud of when you toss it on your belt. It's that feeling of security I guess that makes me just love Esee products. And when my time has come to leave this Rock they'll be handed down for others to enjoy hopefully just as much as me. I have one blade left from them to get and that is the Esee cm6. I've wanted it forever but funds in this economy are tight. That's my grail knife if I could choose any fixed blade from any maker. That CM6 is a kickass design!!!! Kinda hard not to drool 🤤 hahaha.
