Na try ko po using a combination of Gray Latex paint and skimcoat, then top coat ng clear gloss emulsion. Thanks for the great work and inspiration. More power!
Hi Roca! Cool! sa mix na gray paint and skim coat mukhang maganda result... hindi ba sya kumintab with the clear gloss emulsion or sakto lang!... Thank you so much din! God bless and stay safe!🤍
Wow! I’ve been wanting this kind of wall design. So happy that I was able to view your YT channel. What if I have a new concrete wall. Done w/ waterproofing & skim coat? What’s the next step?
Hi Avlon! Glad you liked it! skip the sanding just dampen the area with a wet cloth then you can proceed with the application. Its actually almost the same procedure...😊
Thanks a bunch bro!! laking tulong to lalo na karamihan ng contractor nowadays palpak even when you pay good money.. i have a project room i need to finish this gives me what i need.
Hi you doing good job but can you put the vedio on concrete wall covering small holes and peaches .after work it's look like natural wall covering patches and holes
Hi POTX 2066! Davies didn’t put a name to the components and just named them as WallArt industria part A(liquid) and part B(powder)… Thanks for noticing! I’m actually working on that, hopefully in the coming months I’d be able to have English subtitles on all my videos… Just got overwhelmed with work as I do everything up to editing aside from my regular job… please bear with me though as I work on improving every aspects of it… thanks btw! 😊
Beautiful work. I’m looking to do something similar in my home. Would you be so kind as to tell me the product you used? The cement and the white glue specifically. Thanks so much.
The product I used here is a concrete plastering cement called WallArt Industria by Davies paints. I don't know if it's available in the US though. A subscriber once told me that he experimented mixing cement with white latex paint and works the same... 😊
Hey im considering using this product for backsplash. The wall is freshly skimmed plaster, would I need to apply redgaurd for moisture prior to skimming with concrete?? I'd love to know looks really cool.
Love how it turned out. Since you used it on prepainted walls and roughened them a bit, i guess this will work right away on fibercement boards like Hardiflex. Btw, the top coat, looks like its for waterproofing too. How is the smell of this? And its curing time? Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Dennis! Yes its compatible with fiber cement boards even on plywood.. It does have a little waterproofing effect but its more of surface protection.. The smell is a bit nauseous but bearable.. Curing time is around 4-8hrs... :)
Hi! Nice video. I was wondering if we can use the regular skim coat (powdered) mixed with pure cement, then a matte top coat as an alternative? Thanks! 🥰
Thanks Johanna! Yes skimcoat is a good alternative... Matte or you can use the wallart topcoat though its in gloss but it won't appear shiny when it dries... :)
Hi @@princessalliyahmandangan7703! Someone commented here na gumamit sya ng cement and gray latex paint and okay nman daw yong result… Yong itong wall art I think may kunting variation lng sa composition ng liquid pero somehow similar sya sa paint kya possible magwork nga… 😊
Hi! Your video is super helpful and inspiring! 🙌👏👏👏 I really want to do this for our accent wall. Question, can I also do this directly on ceramic tiles on the floor? God bless on all your projects!😃
Hi Jerica! Glad you like it! I wouldn’t recommended this for flooring as it will not withstand live loads, also with the ceramic tiles as base it will easily chip off… A better option for a cement fonish look flooring would be polished concrete… God bless and stay safe… 🤍😊
i have concrete floors and really want to do this in my entrance way wall. I love it. I have seen some where they layer different colours. Have you tried that
Go for it! I haven't tried layering different colors yet but I'm proposing a different color/finish to a project if it gets approved I might feature it here... :)
I got a cement painted wall , the job was done approximately 6 months ago , unfortunately I am not happy with end product so I decided to do the job myself . My question is the wall was waxed/ sealed. Can I just sand the wall , then reapply the concrete paint If this is possible on the assumption that the wall had 2 coats applied , could I get away with applying 1 coat of concrete paint then apply the wax . Regards
Hi Tony! Yes you can sand the wall to remove the wax/topcoat then reapply, 1 coat would be enough then wax/topcoat… Make sure though not to over sand otherwise you would need to do 2 coats again… :)
Thanks Farhad! there is a different product if you prefer white. Industria is only available in gray or cement finish, though you can try using a white skim coat mixed with white paint if you prefer the same texture in white...😊
Ang galing! I want to do this design on my bathroom walls. I heard that it's better to apply (a certain degree of) waterproofing with the concrete finish wall. How would you suggest to do the waterproofing? How would you suggest to do the waterproofing without affecting the concrete's raw color/texture?
So what actually is the product mixture? Is it cement or something commonly used or is it an expensive specialty product meant specifically for what you’re doing here? Looks great!
this looks great - your eye for finish is fantastic. I'm astonished at how beautiful the finished surface is. it gives so much depth to an otherwise rather ugly space. great work. thanks for video.
Thank you, KHewitt! I believe I was saying the product(WallArt Industria) has 2 components the powder and the binder since I got it as a set then you have to mix it depending on your desired consistency as I often prefer a more flowy consistency for easy application… 😊
Ang galing ganyan pala pag gawa nyan. Pwde din ho ba sa flooring yan? Me nakita ho kc ako na parang ganyan ang finish natural sya tas me crack yong flooring nya pero ok din sya tingnan.
Hi Kouros! You have a cool name.. Pwede siyang pang outdoor pero di nya kakayanin load pag ginamit sya for flooring.. I think yong nakita mo is yong polished concrete which I also like...😊
Pwede po sa exterior at pwede po magmix nang kulay para yun desired color, at hindi na po magpipinta.i mean diritso na finish product with desired color. Tanx.😊
I love the finish. Where exactly did you get the industria products cause they’re not sold where I’m from? I was thinking of getting this when I visit Manila.
The looks are lovely, really modern and industrial. But I just keep wondering, can a topcoat can be REALLY CLEAR, as all of the clear coating products tend to make the surface a bit darker at the end😢
The topcoat I used here is really design for this product and it actually enhances the texture without altering the color. I agree some tend to darken and some has this super shiny finish that I really don't like but this one retained the rawness of the cement finish...😊
Sir pede ba pang sapaw yan sa tapos nang concrete wall, problema kssi nakafinish pero tabingi, balak ko po sapawan, malakas po ba kumapit yan sir?, thanks,
Hi Melissa! Hindi ko pa sya natry for floor pero di ko din sya marecommend kasi for sure hindi sya tatagal at hindi sya designed for flooring... I would recommend na mag bare concrete or polished concrete pra mas durable...😊
I don't know what exactly it is since I would purchase it in set. and Davies would only name it as Set A (the liquid) and B as (the powder). The product name is WallArt Industria. But If I may examine the the component it does looks like cement powder and While Latex paint though it probably has an added component. 😊
