The amount of times you just have to sit there like “😦” listening to this
I haven’t related to an emoji so much after this episode.
Right?!
I'm getting all emojinal watching this, yeah.
Fr. This one deserves a trip to my therapist.
More like 😭
The fact that, in the US, we have police who are able to steal property with little to no justification and it's almost impossible to fight that, is a MAJOR problem.
John Oliver did a whole segment on civil forfeiture. One of the stories he used was a man who had several thousand in cash seized because "no one travels with that kinda cash for innocent reasons." He was driving to meet someone to buy a used car.
Police are EXACTLY like an occupying force in war.
Not much progress can be made when people forget. Most people are only productive for 20-40 years of their life and many fail to pass on their knowledge and skills. Now imagine police where in some towns it was used to enforce culture and were nice to the townsfolk but abused the “outsiders” so they were okay with it. I have heard similar rhetoric of people who live near gangs and aren’t harmed themselves but also ignore the harm the gang members do to the local and nearby communities.
Why not sue FedEx? 🤔
listing to that last story is going to make me watch Rebel Ridge again tonight.
How in the hell did we end up in the timeline where people seriously elected Uncle Ruckus to public office?
We live in a weird Fanfic.
He's republican, that's how
Say thank you to Trump and his "gullible" bunch of followers, they turned crazy to a new max!🤣
Thank god we moved to Swiss (Europe) back in 2020 but still we care enough to give our three votes to the blue💙team this year, good luck to us all!🤗

This fanfic sucks, when does Trump get pregnant?
@mac533 It's actually going to end with Trump and Kamala running away together to start a Family together, and Pregant Ted Cruz with Greg Abbot (The father) protect them.
I read the leaks from the recent hack a while ago.
Adding "exciting" incest to the Menendez case when there was incestuous abuse happening in the first place is ridiculous. There was a platform to talk about how males can be sexually abused and it was thrown out the window for a shock factor that had no basis.
Exactly. SA against men and boys is already so trivialized and has often been used in comedies. But this is a serious case about two men who were sexually abused as boys, and they trivialized and dramatized that too. Just disgusting.
Ryan Murphy has always been pretty trash since Glee. That show was borderline creepy.
Showrunners (allegedly): in Celsius abuse from parents is sooooo late 90s early 2000s ugggghhhhh . . . we need to spice this up. So I was thinking, instead of all this horror (sigh) (eye roll) . .. let's age up the kids and let em have an exciting steamy romance as a juxtaposition of love hate, fire and ice i mean HELLO!!! killers are HOT if you haven't noticed AH! YEA! GET THAT LGBTIQA DEMOGRAPHIC!
LMFAOO Mark Robinson is pound for pound the epitome of Uncle Ruckus 🤣 "Slavery aint that bad" is a line straight outta boondocks

Uncle "Reverse Vitiligo" Ruckus
I don’t know, he might even be a bit much for Uncle Rukus too😂
God damn you now I can't make the comment 😂
If he doesn't think it's that bad, he should volunteer as tribute. It's always people who expect to benefit from it that say it's not that bad.
How has Mark Robinson gotten away with all the crazy things he has said until now?? How has it not been brought up way earlier, its extremely disturbing and disgusting!
The police should be required to have a warrant, police report, or case (whatever is most appropriate), before they can seize ANYTHING.
I commend you for releasing “Nazi Sex” in the title of your TH-cam videos. The Algorithm knows no bounds.
@@Plexxl Phil just gained a whole new audience 😂
In quotes, too. He basically highlighted it, just in case the algorithm might miss it. :P
@@Plexxl it drives me crazy watching a documentary or news video when they have to redact the words "rape", "sexual assault" etc from videos (particularly when the voice over or narrator says the words out loud anyway - that makes even less sense!) because if you're watching something that discusses these subjects you know what they are, why it's wrong and why these subjects could be sensitive for some viewers but a trigger warning(TW) at the beginning (or a banner TW that stays at the top of the screen so that people can see what is to come and decide for themselves whether or not to watch.) As someone who watches/listens to a lot of True Crime stuff, it's so infuriating when half your show ends up bleeped/silenced/black bar censored out because it's entire subject matter makes the algorithm go mental.
@@Littlewings1211I think you can figure this one out if you really try.
Robinson's real life is more off the wall than any Chapelle or Key and Peele skit
Him saying that he would "buy a few" without realizing that he probably would be one of the "few" is chilling and shows absolutely no awareness.

Yes yes yes mark robinson is a pos bigot, but did u hear how he owned the libs...lmao.
Insane world we live in...lol
The civil asset forfeiture story is really wild. I recently watched Rebel Ridge on Netflix (great movie btw) and this practice was the primary plot line. I had never heard of it before so hearing a story of it in action and the fact that police officers can just take money from people with absolutely zero recourse is unbelievable. Every time we think we have certain "freedoms" in this country, the government proves us wrong yet again.
that's exactly my frame of reference too after seeing the movie recently. absolutely wild its that rampant
One thing you can almost always count on is that despicable people can’t help but out themselves as horrible eventually. As I’ve grown older I’ve realized that villain monologues are just exaggerated versions of the yapping people like Robinson do in real life and online.
Any time North Carolina gets mentioned, I always think “Oh God, we’re in the news again.” It’s almost always bad, and getting progressively worse.
The only good news I've heard about NC so far is that it could be flippable so the onus is on you guys to make it so. O7

How can anyone with a conscience still fight for someone to be put to death when there’s so much pointing to their innocence?
Apparently he got caught with her belongings in his car and pawned her husband laptop. If he didn't do it he definitely knows who did do it or at least where he got those items from
Kamala Harris did the same thing as AG.

AGs are elected. He isn't a person to him. He is a number. Another "dead murderer" thats off the street. Folks aren't going to see that he was likely innocent here in 6 weeks, cause well, the axe has a short memory and dead trees tell no tales.
Who the hell keeps letting Ryan Murphy make true crime docs?

He is a dave chappelle skit
He is a walking Dave Chapelle skit

Dave Chappelle would praise Mark Robinson today.
The Marcellus Williams case is kind of insane. Outside of just how bloodthirsty the justice system is, the physical evidence getting mishandled is absurd. I don’t care if it’s “fair” because neither side has to deal with the evidence.
The entire truth could’ve been written on the mishandled physical evidence. An innocent defendant doesn’t care about whether it’s fair or not for the lawyers, all they care about is the truth coming out. A prosecutor (potentially deliberately, but at the very least negligently) denying the truth by mishandling the evidence should put the entire case into question.
It’s like conveniently “accidentally” deleting footage of the entire scene and calling that a “just system”, because neither side has that evidence. It’s not just, because the evidence literally gave the whole truth, and excluding it from the case just further obscured the truth.
As someone who hasn't heard about that show about the Menendez brothers until this, I just don't see how they thought that would be a good idea lmao. Like how do enough people think that won't go down horribly exist 💀
Murphy has a history of stuff like this tbh. He ruined glee with fan service and weird plotlines about adults and teens that made me uncomfortable even as a teen back in the day. As an adult looking back on it, especially with what happened with the guy who played puck, it makes me even more uncomfortable. I tried to give ahs a chance especially to support Evan Peters but it just got weird to be weird and texmex to be texmexual you know?
It’s been one of the top netflix shows since it came out, rage/hate watching is still viewership and money. They know exactly what they are doing.
i thought his version of Dahmer was superb. it really built on whar Dahmer (2002) did.
It is possible to cover the story in a more balanced and unbiased way, just not for Murphy.
@@Littlewings1211they committed a premeditated and terrible crime. They don't deserve a "balanced" story despite how current society thinks it's OK to end a life as retribution.
Can I make a guest and assume you are against the death penalty, execpt(insert the thing you're currently upset about)?
Fun fact, cops have no legal duty to protect you. Not only have they argued that they're so stupid that you actively need to state you are invocking you're right to stay silent, but they've argued they're so stupid that if you said something like "I want a lawyer, dog", then they can refuse to get you a lawyer, because how are they supposed to know you wanted a lawyer and not a K9 that's a lawyer (yes, this was a real case (edit: That the police won)).
People like to say they know their rights, but police have been slowly chipping away at them for years and years by declaring their stupidity as an excuse to abuse their power. Police *are not* your friends in any way. This situation with stealing money is just one of many problems that (what a surprise) disproportionately effect the working class and people of lower income.
Big facts 👏🏼
It should be stated that Mark Robinson does not have a sister in law, so that means he wrote pissplay fanfic where he cheated on his wife.

Just on the civil forfeiture stuff. Here is my reminder that John Oliver reported on how much power police have with this feature like over a decade ago and nothing has been done about it

i may eventually give it a chance. people can criticize his Dahmer show, but ive read a lot about Dahmer and i thought he handled the show fairly
Ryan is probably into thus stuff.

@@Panama_Red im not necessarily defending them, but i will defend the idea that not everyone handled things the same way. saying "but other people didnt" isnt much of an argument. if you study the MOAO gene, when a certain variant of it appears in people with trauma, they are more likely to handle it aggressively
I live in SW Indiana (Evansville Metro) and my state lawmakers make me sick. Our state is so ass backwards and voters won't hold them accountable.
Fort Wayne citizen here, I won't say Fort Wayne is better than any other city in Indiana, but it was genuinely mind-opening to see the shit the rest of the state gets into. The fact that civil asset forfeiture isn't a national news story every time it happens is a tragic miscarriage of justice. It was originally made to confiscate things from abandoned ships that would try to smuggle stuff past taxes and where the supposed owners of the goods couldn't be found/reached. The idea that it could also apply to people traveling with cash is sick.
Indeed
I keep being surprised by what Republicans get away with saying. There has to be a limit right? I'm tired of being surprised 😒

Civil Forfeiture is the biggest reason for my belief that all cops are bastards.
Learning more and more about this had me enraged with police actions at every new "bad apple" police story of the week. Learning the defacto slogan of police "To Protect and Serve" is not held in any standard and is often completely disregarded by officers really had me question everything police officers do for the residents of this country. Every Police precinct acts more similar to organized crime (e.g. mobsters).
If they're going to ban Liv then they should also ban Logan Paul for countless reasons
Phil is actually covering Civil Asset Forfeiture. Yeah, we definitely needed that. We need more eyes on this crap. Now, if only he covered the absolute hellscape that is the American Foster Care System.
"That's what the viewers want" and "We all have the option to follow and block any content we want" are massively awful statements to make from someone with massive body dysmorphia who has a young audience. It's not the people who don't like her content people are worried about; it's the people who DO watch her that need to be protected from what she's saying.
Don't get me wrong, I live in NC. It matters to me and I am disappointed in my state. But if someone DID create a fake profile using Mark Robinson's email and common username, and mixed misinformation and Robinson's personal details, for years on end, leading a swing state to turn blue a decade later...it would be the funniest thing that has ever happened.

Crazy how we have people that should be :
A) in an mental asylum
B) someone that should be on the FBI watch list
run for power. It's crazy how these people are in power and other people actually vote for them to be in power. At the rate we are going, I seriously wonder how much longer the US will last before everything just claps in on itself. The US is a somewhat young country, so I'm curious what will happen in the future of this country.
My only question concerning Mark robinson, if these are not your words, where is the defamation lawsuit?
In 60 seconds I can prove that supporting the death penalty is irrational. 1) Whenever the death penalty is used a small number of innocent people are executed. 2) Logically, this means that in order to support the death penalty you have to believe that the penalty provides some benefit that is more important than the life of an innocent person. 3) But the death penalty has no such benefit. It doesn't have any benefit that is more important than an innocent person's life. 4) Therefore, supporting the death penalty is irrational. I've had this argument with countless people over the years and not a single one has been able to name something that the death penalty provides that is more important than innocent life. They always try to change to subject. Supporting the death penalty is irrational.
Civil Asset Forfeiture has always been called "Legal Theft" my whole life.
Even in legal circles.
I cannot imagine being a young girl/teenager today. I have a core memory from 4th grade (in the late 60s) where two, young female teachers were talking and saying that a woman really shouldn't weigh much more than 100lb. I didn't have social media, chat rooms, know anyone with an ED or even have a scale to weigh myself on, but that information glued itself to my brain and I started looking at young women and girls and wishing I could be stick thin too (I was normal weight, just not Twiggy thin). TV and magazine ads were enough to cement that feeling. Parents ultimately have to control content and educate, but social media doesn't do them any favors. They either ignore issues or instaBAN making the content even more desirable. How can you raise healthy and well adjusted kids when corporations make money off their misery and dysfunction?
At some point, Phil, you aren’t going to be able to leave even for 12 hours. This news just keeps news-ing.

Everyday you think you’ve seen it all. Then something like “Mark Robinson Nazi Sex” comes along, and immediately shatters that idea…
Some days, we truly do live in a Society…
The Liv girl knows she's creating Anna content, it's been well documented that young girls are easily influenced by anna content and is the whole reason ppl started to look more cautiously at what kids are watching and who they're watching. Her saying her content is for desk job women who want to lose weight or whatever is false unless her videos also talk about her desk job or other boring adult things that teens aren't gonna want to watch, same thing as Eugenia except she never made her content on what she was or wasn't eating she just broad casts her ED habits like they're normal and many young girls have fallen into EDs b/c of it.
When I saw the title my first thought was "come again?"
Robinsons comments are wild. It's definitely concerning that it hasn't ruined his career. The standards are gone.
I'm sorry but I busted out laughin' at "Takes the man out while leaving the man in." Like... WTF!?
That's on the top of the list of things I never thought I was gonna hear today.
The police should not be allowed to benefit from civil forfeitures, remove the incentive, and they should have to back it up with evidence, innocent until proven otherwise.

I think on the whole tik tok ban story, my personal opinion is that until we know what specifically her account was banned for, it’s kinda irrelevant to declare whether or not it’s deserved.
It’s a big issue in the world today where we see someone say something provocative, get banned, everyone says “suppressing their speech” then it turns out it had nothing to do with that and was a result of a series of other violations that had nothing to do with what they said.
"We mishandled the thing, which is why it can no longer be used to save your life from us" - like, what?

Civil Asset Forfeiture only acts to legitimise theft. Even if one were to agree with the original principle of the practice, it's been long eroded by police departments using it to furnish themselves at the expense of the communities they are supposed to protect.
There is a reasonable need to seize items believed to be used in a crime. But allowing for that process to rely entirely on officer discretion with very little in the way of oversight or recourse was negligent on the part of law makers.

Referring to civil asset forfeiture as potentially ruining innocent people financially reminds me of when I worked at a restoration construction company in Harrisburg, PA (insurance claims like flooding and fire damage). The cops in a local town raided the wrong house, driving an armored vehicle through the front door, destroying their porch roof, concrete stoop, and front door. Luckily, they weren't home, but the whole thing cost about $30k in repairs. Cops wouldn't pay for it. Neither would their insurance...
The gop is sickening!
The civil asset forfeiture story made me think of Rebel Ridge
The Marcellus Williams story is one of the main reasons the death penalty needs to be abolished. We'll find out the day after Missouri murders him that he was innocent and never should have been in prison and they'll be all 🤷♂
I love that in the US, your PROPERTY can be charged with a crime and then seized.

Civil Asset Forfeitures is a pretty messed up way for any Gov't to use and take someone elses property.
It's basically *stealing* , but *legally* .

FINALLY BACK ITS BEEN A LONG WEEKEND THANK GOD YOU POSTED
Civil asset forfeiture has never truly made sense to me. "Stealing is against the law, unless police do it."
If people get banned for promoting undereating/being skinny do they also ban channels that promote over eating??
I’ve never heard of any of the channels where people scarf down five pounds of food getting banned. Seems like a bit of a double standard.
I thought the same
exactly... all those mukbang accounts?? A lot of the HAES channels post a lot of harmful misinformation too. Are those banned?
I mean both are unhealthy lifestyles, but she clearly promoted being very skinny (in an unhealthy way) to be healthy and most mukbang channels don't promote overeating as being a healthy lifestyle.
@@bazbo Maybe not mukbangers but a lot of FA channels do
I would like to point out that there is a difference between promoting eating disorders and turning them into entertainment, even if I find both of them repulsive.
But regardless we still don’t know why the account was banned as the reason is still unspecified.
So, you're saying that while walking through town with a "sizeable" amount of cash, police can charge me for murder, plant a murder weapon to frame me for a murder I didn't commit, deliberately leave physical evidence on said weapon to ensure my case can't be overturned, and then they get to keep my money while I rot in jail waiting for my death sentence?
"Adding these dramatic elements risks sensationalizing their trauma for the sake of story telling" Congratulations, that describes all true crime ever. Of course, most don't step over the line like this, but almost all of them walk right up to the line. Perpetuating this genre, and then being surprised when one show decides to take a disgusting creative step in the wrong direction is insane when these people have tolerated and celebrated true crime that does just a little less than this.
That DA needs to be sacked. he's an abhorrent example of a single of the many things wrong with the so-called "justice system"
Phil, that's the fastest I've ever clicked on a video that didn't have the words "Nuclear" or "War" in the title
I'm a middle aged woman who works a desk job and is trying to lose weight.
Consuming content like livs is harmful because of the algorithm.
How many times has one video like skibidi toilet come across your feed and then suddenly that's the only thing you get fed?
If you could actually genuinely curate a custom healthy blend of content, then how one lady eats to stay skinny isn't bad. Unfortunately, that would hurt watch time.
Algorithms don't care about your health.
All of that ignores that this content is bad for her to make as well. Now her whole career is "how do I stay skinny" and regardless of what she does, it will attract unhealthy people to her.
with a title like this i gotta watch😂
That death penalty case is an example of why I'm convinced there is no situation where an argument justifying the death penalty can exist. It's the one punishment that can't be reverse. So, if there's anything sure of 100% certainty, it shouldn't be on the table. No matter how heinous the alleged crime, any non-zero chance of error in the system should be unacceptable when it comes to irrevocable punishments, since no number of justified uses outweighs a single misapplication of such a sentence.
A minute into the show, I got a text telling me to watch the show. :P
story 4:
As the story was told, here is how ones thoughts goes:
- So the guy was about to get a death sentence without much evidence? Maybe it is someone connected to the cops and/or offense (opposite of defendant/defence) of the court case?
- wait, so he was about to get retrials/clemency/whatever those words means, but someone connected to cops vetoed it? Huh, what if he is some scapegoat they are framing for something the cops or ppl related to them did?
- Huh, they found the dna of police and ppl involved in the trial, on the murder weapon? Seems it actually is corrupt framing going on!
- "appears to have been mishandled"? no? why would you even think that, when the entire court-case seems so rigged? Does this not seem exactly like the kind of thing where things were handled correctly and then the ppl who did it got someone else sentenced to disappear so they are safe forevermore?
How do you even expect cops to manage to mishandle evidence? If that can happen, then you can't trust any evidence at all! Nor can you trust any cops! because they can do anything and evidence of the crime will be assumed to have been them mishandling it.
as someone who struggled on both ends at points in my life, I think it's important to de-platform and prevent these people from spreading this disease I battle with. currently, I'm struggling with bulimia, formerly struggling with anorexia. There are already so many vectors that this issue spreads and seeing unhealthy health tips pushing for a skinny body doesn't help. what helps is science-backed care. something few creators can provide. I prefer to air on the side of caution with this topic because of the damage it can cause.
what do you think about mukbang/overeating channels? or the healthy at any size channels that push misinformation about how being overweight doesn't have health impacts?
@@ZanaharyBunziMaatnearly equally dislike them. and think they need to go. I say nearly because obesity isn't as bad as anorexia or bulimia. but the difference there is minimal. if you're making health claims without the education needed or encouraging deadly behaviors and extending an epidemic you don't belong on TH-cam or social media.
@@koboldqueen3055 I'd argue that obesity is just as bad as anorexia, and can debilitate you just as much as anorexia can. We just don't see the negative effects of it due to the fact that we live such sedimentary lifestyles, however obesity usually comes in the form of dying early and not being able to really live an active lifestyle as our biology demands. I do agree though that the promotion of unhealthy habits shouldn't be on social media, I do find however that the line between "calorie cutting" and "under-eating" just come down to the setting you do it in and that's extremely weird to me.
@@QuestionQuestionMark I agree pretty much agree. My main reason for saying they are worse is anorexia and bulimia when untreated are faster killers. General I don't think unlicensed individual should be giving health advice. You and your doctor need to work on the problem. If you can get a doctor well that's a good reason to vote in favor of universal healthcare and while not the best solution you can buy health books by real professional in the field. I also have an issue with those pedaling pseudoscience in that area too causing problems. I generally believe if you want to talk about health in a this will help you way you need to be licensed and held accountable. If a individual with appropriate credentials had a channel and wasn't spreading miss information I'd be fine with em being on the platform.
Hey Phil! As a trans woman, I don't think it's correct to say that that Robinson's takes were contradictory. His comments are still objectifying and transphobic. Just because he rationalizes us to not feel guilt about being attracted us as a category of adult content, doesn't mean he views us any more as people. I know that the article was just trying to do a "Gotcha! Look this guys a hypocrite!" but I think it kind of ignores the actual bigotry.
No Diddy news? What universe is this?
And why is LeBron James quiet?
@@funkspinnaright to remain silent
What other significant news is there? Besides his arrest obviously, which Phil already covered days ago
Edit: I don’t consider pictures of him and celebrities as being newsworthy, personally

You know who should be promoting healthy lifestyle choices? Professional dietitians, not influencers.
In a modern society where rule of law is in play, such as is currently present in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA, the DEATH PENALTY is not only no longer neccessary but should be completely abandoned as a possible criminal sentence and should be completely outlawed in all 50 states.
