Vienna is absolutely beautiful. The museum and the opera house. Wow, this city should be on everyone's bucket list. The porcelain museum was truly magnificent.
How do I find the words to thank you? I am not a patron, though I wish I could be. I am a retired single Memere living on a VERY tight budget Stephanie. YOU make it possible for me to see the places I’ve wanted to visit ALL my life. Your guidance instructs and informs me allowing a deeper appreciation for everything you have filmed. The graciousness of your Aunt and Uncle make sharing it all such a joy. I share Phillips excitement about porcelain and table settings. I LOVE to see him enjoying it SO MUCH! Bless you Stephanie and THANK YOU DEAR.
I love watching you and Philip together his enthusiasm when talking of the porcelain factory and adding the skipping and your calling it to his attention is adorable. You two were just lovely together and I wish the two of you many many years together. God bless you both. Keep up the great work. We'll keep following❤
In spite of my love of simplicity, I enjoy the porcelain patterns that fit into your chateau, wallpapers and patterned fabrics, formal dinner settings and learning more about toile, and everything French..
OMG, Stephanie, I was nearly in tears at "good night." The bond between you and Chantel is really beautiful. I'm always cheered when I see her and your Uncle Steve. What must Amaury's brother be like? Do they realize they have fans? I'm still thrilled to see the little bits we're thrown of Amaury. I get it though, he signed on to be an artisan, not a social media star or influencer. A bodhisattva told me once that the universe gives us a finite amount of good fortune, and not to waste it. That's what she told me. ❤ from TX!
Dear Stephanie and Philip, thank you for taking us along on another excellent adventure! I just love that you both delve into the history of all things beautiful. The China and dress pattern remind me of ikat weaving which was brought to Europe by the Dutch East India Company, Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie from their Indonesian trading posts during the Dutch golden age in the 17th century. As you know, once England invented the very sleek and vast tea clippers the Dutch global power declined. Then England became the super power with trading posts all over Asia. And again foreign textiles became all the rage. This time India’s chintzes and Kashmir shawls. As for spy clue words, so fascinating that all three countries chose the squirrel! But as Philip knows, the Dutch chose a word of the most difficult pronunciation: Scheveningen. If you are not a native you fail miserably. Aside from that, I am glad to be back. The past two years were very difficult. For a long time I was seriously ill. My family was and is absolutely wonderful! The Château Diaries etc. are and were so important to bring joy and diversion. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Having been an early donor, your ever expanding success in bringing the chateau back to its former glory is such a delight! Looking forward to many more of your excellent adventures ❤
As a person born in Vienna I can only add that although we may go to Sacher for Wiener wurste as a fun nostalgic occasion (although we can get them at every wurstel stand) we would never order a piece of Sacher Torte. That is for tourists that do not understand that the slice of cake is too large and is dry. We walk around the corner to the store on Kartnerstrasse and buy the Sacher wurfeln. That is what we eat and gift. Of my entire family and friends in Austria only one likes the Imperial Torte because he loves marzipan.
Perhaps your next costume party at laLande should have an international theme to give your uncle the opportunity to wear some lederhosen😁. Thank you for the tour of the porcelain museum. It’s fascinating to see how modern design trends seem to circle back to old styles. I loved the simplicity of the shapes and the square handles they use, just fabulous.
Stephanie, I believe you get tired of traveling, but honestly it is hard to keep up with you. You and your Mom have a lot of energy. It is amazing how much you can do in one day. ❤
What a special visit to an absolutely imperial Vienna, a city as classy and refined wherever you turn as the Viennese Waltz… but whether you’re gracefully waltzing with your beau, strolling wide-eyed at the Augarten porcelain museum or dining at the Hotel Sacher and indulging in the world famous Sacher- Torte, Stephanie’s Vienna videos make you feel like you’re being treated to a tour worthy of royalty.
Oh I’m so sorry the Vienna videos are over ! I love seeing your Aunt and Uncle Stephanie and Philip picked out some super choices of waist coats and jackets for Stephen to choose from. This was so great for me to see these wonderful snippets of Vienna because it has always been somewhere I have hungered to see since a child and besotted with the Heidi series of books. 📚✈️⛰🍽💖
Thank you for sharing your wonderful travels of Vienna. I went with my best friend (who passed away last year) and we visited Cafe Central, the art museum (including its beautiful cafe), had dinner at The Imperial Hotel and Sacher Torte in the same room as you did. Your video has bought back so many great memories.
You can get a direct train from Paris to Vienna. There are (or sued to be, unless it has changed) day and night options. Worth looking into for your next Viennese adenture! Thank you for the video!
A group of vlogs on your time in Vienna. It’s a city I’ve always wanted to visit and I want to even more after these videos. Your aunt and uncle were such fun travel companions. Stephanie you share with us the most interesting things and I love the snippets of history you throw in. Always fascinating. The story about spies and pronouncing squirrel was particularly interesting and it made me wonder if keeping a secret as in secret squirrel comes from this story. Thanks for taking us on this Viennese mini break. Best wishes to you all from Neil in Australia 🇦🇺
What a fabulous visit to Vienna, thank you for showing us such amazing places Stephanie. Oh how I’d love to visit 🥰 Looks like your Aunt & Uncle enjoyed every minute, wonderful ❤️
Oh la la !! Splendide ! Encore un vlog fabuleux et si joyeux avec Tatinette et oncle Steven 💕 quel beau voyage! Merci ! Beau et délicieux 😋 ! À bientôt ! 🌸🌸🌸
What a great adventure! I enjoyed seeing the porcelain museum very much! Wishing you all safe travels and I hope you brought home something from the porcelain factory. Thanks for taking us along!
I think I can speak for all of us. You spoiled us a bit with this beautiful holiday to Vienna. You did so much in just a couple of days. The porcelain museum is very interesting. Phillip, I felt for you running to get that bag. It brought back memories of my travels. Glad you got it. You all will be glad to get home and hopefully get some rest. Safe travels. Your baby will be so excited to see you.
Thank you guys it was wonderful going to Australia with you I learned so much from you Stephanie when you explain all the China or wherever you go I really enjoy the trips and I appreciate you immensely you and Philip and it's so nice that you travel with your eye and Uncle it makes me feel comfortable knowing that family is with you while your mother is in South Africa God bless and I'll see you on the next Adventure and I'll also see you at the chateau cha
Augarten had me spell bound. So many incredible things. The ice cream cooler took my breath away so simple in design yet outstandingly extravagant. Thank you for taking us there. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa.👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩 Ps.I can’t wait to see your return to be greeted by your hound. 🤭
🐿️ fun fact: In Bavaria (South of Germany) you test somebody‘s dialect having to pronounce „Oachkatzlschwoaf“ which is the Bavarian pronunciation of „the tail of a squirrel“ 😂
What an advert for Vienna! That was a real treat Stephanie and Phillip. Reminds me of the videos you did years ago on Limoges, which was a masterclass. No wonder Phillip likes to visit places like this, the quality of the porcelain is outstanding. I loved the little ladybirds on top of the fuzzy porcelain and that ice cream jar was just stunning. The history contained in places like this museum is so interesting. Sadly, it shows just how mundane our crockery is these days. I have some proper porcelain, but dare not use it, so it sits in the cupboard. I discovered Sachertorte in East Berlin in 1980. OMG I have never forgotten it, but the ones we find in the UK, or can make, just do not match the unbelievable taste of the real thing. I have never had the Imperial torte, so it is on my bucket list for sure! Thank you Stephanie for yet another classic video of beautiful objects and history.😊😊😊
Thank you - this was a fascinating vlog about the Augarten history and a lovely series about Vienna! Always love seeing other people's impressions of the capital of my home country. All the best! xx
Thank you so much for this wonderful trip through Wien! I’ve been there a few times and knew some of the locations already but you showed some more I haven’t seen so far like the porcelain museum. Your special and elaborated comments are really great because you point out things which I probably wouldn’t have noticed. Hope you got back well because there had been a huge storm over Ireland and Great Britain. Have a safe trip back home!
Oh I just love the skip that Philip did that just made my heart go pitter-patter I just got so excited to see him so excited about to see something that's so much strong in his blood oh he just made my day God bless you all I love watching you it's been a couple years I've stumbled across you who won I'm down I make sure I watch you cuz you always put a smile on my face and the little dog what a blessing keep up the awesome videos
As a Viennese I have to admit, that "Sacher`s" Sachertorte is overhyped . The original Sachertorte had been developed at "Cafe Demel" where the young Mister Sacher took his apprenticeship long before he started his hotel. Demel still produces the original and much better version of the "Sachertorte".
I think its a different use of the word. The word "corn" is often used in Europe, going back centuries, to describe wheat, whereas in America we use it only to describe maize.
Oh my gosh thank you for the lovely tour of the Vienna porcelain manufactory Augarten. There are so many interesting pieces that I was not familiar with because we live such a different lifestyle than the people in the 1800's. It's fascinating to me! I love your Aunt's pearl headband! I'm going to make myself one so I can be chic!! Love to you all from South, Louisiana!!
Wonderful trip hadn't dreamed of seeing Vienna! So thankful for your tour .always watching for a new posting.not sitting and waiting but all the same looking forward to it .
Dear Stefanie and Philip, if you ever come to Salzburg you have to try the Sachertorte of the famous and beloved Café Bazar! It‘s more flavorful, the apricot is more present and it‘s not as dry as the one from Hotel Sacher. So glad you had an amazing time in Vienna 🤗
Vienna is just gorgeous. Porcelain is not my thing but I’m glad you had fun. Phillip though…I beg you to trim those nails. 😮 Love that you’re a plethora of knowledge Stephanie!
Just realised I have some plates, coffee cups and saucers by this company that were my father in laws. Thanks for taking us around, such lovely pieces. Vienna is a lovely city.
I love to watch the visit to the Augarten factory. Thanks a lot. In fact my Austrian family leaves near. The boys of the Vienna Boys Choir live in the park too.
You are a fantastic guide and so knowledgeable I love watching you on your travels so interesting the church you went to yesterday took my breath away thank you Stephanie 😊
I’ve really enjoyed your Vienna trip as I do all the places you visit or just in La Lalande!! You do a fantastic and professional job explaining everything as you go and I have learned so much that without watching your vlogs I wouldn’t have. Being disabled I’m bed/housebound so thank you for taking us along with you both and your lovely Aunt and Uncle. Wishing you all a safe flight home to France! Philip is very knowledgable and I wonder did he learn from his parents and grandparents or study. For a young man it’s refreshing to hear him speak so eloquently about porcelain and many other historical facts especially as English isn’t his first language, although I’d never have guessed! Night all! 🌻🥰🙅♀️🙅♀️
I loved the Porcelain Museum, the designs are so beautiful and of course the quality is superb. What a great company make your aunt and your uncle, so loving and full of sense of humor. what a wonderful trip, thank you for sharing all your adventures with us! Now, even if it´s sad to leave precious Viena, it´s comforting to go back home.
Thanks for the wonderful porcelain museum visit, it was extraordinary. I agree with your darling aunt that the Hotel Zacher torte was not extraordinary as when I had my second piece, 2011, (June) it was quite dry, disappointing. But still I enjoyed the circus of the moment, being in thia famous hotel, partaking of this world reknown cake, etc. Your vlogs are so well done and edited and enjoyed by me. Marianne, Chicago
Your aunt is a treasure! So sweet that she mouthed that she preferred the Imperial Torte to the Sacher Torte. What a sweetheart!
I agree with Auntie!
lest she offend anyone, a true lady
So cute 😍
I've had the Sacher Torte there and I didn't think it was anything special, but the setting is!
I am with your Aunt! The one at the Hotel Sacher was pretty dry.....I was expecting it be better..
You truly make us all feel like we are your best friends and traveling with you. We even have a new Aunt and Uncle, and they are really fun!!
Perfectly said. 😍
It is wonderful to see how Phillip’s passions intersect with Stephanie’s, and how well he clicks with her family. May we all be so lucky in love.
Vienna is absolutely beautiful. The museum and the opera house. Wow, this city should be on everyone's bucket list. The porcelain museum was truly magnificent.
Oh my goodness...an ice cream holder that looks like that? Wow! This is so interesting....the history, the story of the setting for one! The food!!!
I love Phillips enthusiasm for porcelain. You know you’ve got it when you skip and know specifics. Appreciate the appreciation. ❤❤❤
Philip’s enthusiasm is adorable!

This was an incredibly informative vlog, thank you to both Philip and Stephany for the fascinating tour of the porcelain museum.
The „Melon service“ was designed by Josef Hoffmann! It is a design classic!

Her trips are so educational and done so well
The way Stephanie tells a story, so gripping❤️ and I am learning so much

I cannot get over the use of Bordaloos during the sermon. 😱 Carrying those around must have been daunting.

The plate you described as having corn cobs all around the edge is actually wheat

I thought the Prince of Plates would explode with excitement in the museum 😁😘
His Eichhörnchen was ALMOST accent free (quite impressive actually) 😂
Such a beautiful place. Thanks for talking us along. 🦋

I just love the aunt and uncle but I vey much miss the "direct" Mummy. lol :-)
Thank you so much Stephanie and Phillip for making this video during a holiday.

Night all! 🌻🥰🙅♀️🙅♀️
I love these videos!! Thank you so much for taking us along with you. Such beautiful pieces! The bourdaloue pieces are totally wild.
Wow, that porcelain museum is amazing, the 1800s designs with the fuzzy edges remind me of Indonesian Ikat fabric designs.
I think that I would want to buy all of the porcelain there is in Vienna! My taste never fits my pocket. Lol. ❤
That was so lovely again, thank you for bringing us along! 🫶❤️🫶
Thank you. I have loved being on holiday with you! Your aunt and uncle are so adorable. Such lovely people. ❤
Merci! Quel beau voyage ! Nous avons le sentiment tout ce temps d'avoir été à vos côtés 😊 À demain 🌜
❤Your trips are so enjoyable!
That cake looked sooo good! 😊Thank goodness Philip is a runner!😅
When I was lucky enough to be in Vienna, I had Sachertorte and tea everyday. Glorious 🥰🥰🥰🍰☕️
Wonderful information! I didn't know about any of these things about porcelain and it's so interesting. Thank you.
Sacre Torte of course!!! My Son proposed to my daughter-in- law at the Hotel Sacre at dessert!!!❤❤
Porcelain heaven! Beautiful pieces in amazing colors. You always have such fun and exciting adventures. Thank you for taking us along! ❤
The boxes reminded me of the Antoinette Poisson prints!
Stephanie! Your favorite vase with the people and umbrella looks a lot like one of your fathers paintings 😊 especially the faces and the composition 🙂
Such a wonderful holiday with amazing company ❤
Thanks for the wonderful porcelain museum visit, it was extraordinary.
