It comes down to whether the police would agree that carrying with a pocket clip is concealed or not, and that’s a debate I’m not interested in having just to carry an auto. Yeah most officers wouldn’t care or notice but it’s not worth it to me. I have a auto just don’t carry it.
I carried the 06 Auto for 3 years and I’ve never had it go off in my pocket. Strange how people have had it happen though. This is a guy who regularly sets his car alarm off with his keys in his pocket.

You will LOVE the 11. It is my fav in EDC carry rotation. I bot a 9 after I bot my 11 ... love it too, but I think the 11 "makes more sense" from a versatility standpoint. I am a white collar guy about to retire and between the Launch series and 3 others, I am having a blast rotating them and fidgeting all, yet still being quite prepared for any needs. I just started buying autos recently. So far I have a boker kihon and kalashnikov xxl, and I’m about to get a protech Newport. I’ve been trying to find a tuxedo one but I don’t think I will, so I’m just gonna get a black one.
The Kershaw Launch series are excellent knives for different purposes. I don't know exactly what number Launch I bought but I purchased 2 knives, one for myself and one for my daughter. The Launch knives I bought are serrated, black in color and about 6 inches long. My daughter also loves it.

Do you not realize that the lock can also be used when the blade is in the open position? I've always thought that was more of the reason for one. That way is you are using the knife for hard use you can actuate the extra lock so even if you accidentally press the firing button it won't fold up on your hand. It's not just for making sure it won't fire in your pocket.
I own a couple of Boker knives and they are fantastic! Two thumbs up to the Boker company. I own the Striker and wow what a great knife. All of my favorites included which are Tanto blade and serrated. The Boker automatics won't break your pockets! How considerate right!

I'm seriously thinking bout the Benchmade 9400. I never got the 940. Now I'm interested lol. Schrade lost me forever as a costumer after the whole Jess X mess. They had an indescribable budget friendly blade then ruined it.

the BM 9400 it very interesting ! and the BM Mediator with G10 ! there ain't no such thing as a reverse tanto ! it's a modified stockman or trapper spey ( nut cutter ) blade ( maybe because nut cutting wouldn't be good advertising hype ) ! and it's hair splitting ! not hair popping !
They all seem like wonderful knives. If I had to pick one and I had the money, I don’t know how much that money is. I would pick the broker Osborne 9500. I do have a Kalashnikov which I have just purchased from your knife sale. Very snappy indeed.. However I think I would like just a little bit shorter of a blade. I also purchased the study for my son. However being that short of a pocket clip makes it feel like it wants to rip your pants pocket right off of your leg trying to put it on. Keep up the great videos.

Been carrying the schrade for a couple of weeks...used it a lot. I don't think I would use a 200 dollar knife as much. Also have boker strike and a kalashnikov . Like them too but the kihon looks pretty interesting.
My Launch 1 loves to “launch” in my pocket. Bit my pinky pretty bad when I went to get my keys out of my pocket. Their plunger design could be improved IMHO.
I have a question i cant info on illinois blade length-what is legal to carry.I no its legal for an automatic now but different answers on blade length.
This is why I hate UK law they've made automatic or spring loaded knives illegal aswell as the flick knives it has to be a non locking , foldable and have a blade of up to 3 inches and if caught with one that's not foldable, manual or has a bigger blade such as chefs knives you need to have a very valid reason such as going to and from college or work and if you don't there's literally only two consequences it will either simply just be taken off you or it can have you sent to jail for a minimum sentence of 12 years along with a £/$5000 fine but the fact automatic and spring loaded is a lot easier than it being manual as a manual sometimes takes forever to have it open if you need it to do something quick or if you can't get a grip on it to open it
I own an AKC knife and when I found that company I was really HAPPY because they actually delivered to the city I reside in. You can tell the AKC knives are well built and you get a variety of colors to choose from. The AKC knives are sharp and the action is crisp.
My only NOT OTF auto i got is the 06 that was issued to me during My first deployment to Iraq! Love it even tho its huge and heavy! I want a under 2 in one for edc so thanks for video! That protech looks awesome
It would be nice if you could say how long the blades would last on each knife before they got dull. It would make it a lot easier for newcomers like myself since idk anything about what the blades are made out of and what not.

I love kershaw launch serries, but they have no safety and I had to go to the hospital cause the launch 8 came open in my pocket and stabbed my leg. Wish they would put safety's on them before a lawsuit happens . Kinda like McDonald's coffee that time. But, great knife!

@@devin2355 the x5 has to be locked after it is opened. I need it locked right away. Plus during combat that button can easily be bumped thus closing it when you need it most.
I love the look and quality of Protech but they are not safe to carry in my pocket, I have several and I can't carry any of them because the button is not protected enough and I've had them open up in my front pocket without knowing it until I reached in to get some cash and ended up with a gash instead. Very dangerous indeed. So sad because I like them so much, but I knife that stabs me is a deal breaker.
Have 3 Kalashnikov's, an AUS-8, a D2 and an S30v. All drop points. I've carried one of these every day for the last 3 years, and open them 30-50 times a day for everything from opening boxes to splitting CAT5 wire to slicing summer sausage. Love these knives, but they're cheap enough that losing one isn't the end of the world
Do you carry any of the out the front stilettos or a Tijuana specials that look like a god father knife? I used to sell knives at gun shows and some of those spendy autos really ca get away from you. My EDC is a cheap Kershaw with an open assist that is still razor sharp and opens like the wind. $17 close out.
I just bought my first auto - Pro-Tech TR-4 in CPM-D2. I love it. Now I understand what ppl mean with „That great Pro-Tech snappy action”. I think I’ll get more autos, but I’m sad, that so many of them don’t have the safety lock. I wouldn’t carry an auto without a safety lock. So it would have to be just a house knife. I’ll deffinitely check the Osborne 9400, Hogue (but this model is hard to get in Europe) and Boker Strike. When I’ll be more familliar with carrying/operating an auto, maybe I’ll get myself something like Magic Whiskers or a Launch
I have the 9400. Bought it from you guys the day it came out. I reserved it like 3 times and just canceled each time thinking I didn't need it. Talking myself out of it. I wish I kept my first reserve. May have a first production. Anyway, I'm glad i have one of the first models of its introduction because, you know this will have a long storied history too. Wish i would have went with black like my 940 but, all my blade are black and I wanted to try something different. Kind of regret it because the 9400 bk is just beautiful. May attempt to stonewash it but, 3 of the screws already stripped and yeah, benchmade please use a tougher screw. Isn't my only benchmade to strip. I hope they put serrations on these. Don't know though considering they cancelled all 940 serrations. Long story short, this has replaced my 940 as my edc. Why? Because just how simple and clean it looks. The green aluminum are the best scales ever. Especially when they get scuffed up. The body only has two screws. The auto mechanism adds to the look. Its just smooth and simple. Fun fact: I bought the last 940 serrated black off of you bladehq. Cause once i bought it, the one from your site and amazon, which you were selling, said sold out. I think that's awesome. I couldn't find any before except the one I purchased. I have not been able to find any since. So, maybe i bought the last one on the internet that was being sold by a reputable dealer. Cool to think about.

At least they get to carry an automatic in some form. In NC the laws for automatic knives are iffy and most recommend not even taking the chance.

The 940, 9400 and mediator are great freakin knives. My workhorse is the 940 and tactical is the mediator. Can’t go wrong with microtech otf’s either.
The coating on the shrade blades flecks off with use giving it a weathered look you either love or hate

Amazon is a wimpy company that won't sell autos. Order directly from blade HQ. I recommend the Protech knives. Excellent materials and build quality.

@@devin2355 the x5 has to be locked after it is opened. I need it locked right away. Plus during combat that button can easily be bumped thus closing it when you need it most.

I love the look and quality of Protech but they are not safe to carry in my pocket, I have several and I can't carry any of them because the button is not protected enough and I've had them open up in my front pocket without knowing it until I reached in to get some cash and ended up with a gash instead. Very dangerous indeed. So sad because I like them so much, but I knife that stabs me is a deal breaker.
Ill take one of each.

Have 3 Kalashnikov's, an AUS-8, a D2 and an S30v. All drop points. I've carried one of these every day for the last 3 years, and open them 30-50 times a day for everything from opening boxes to splitting CAT5 wire to slicing summer sausage. Love these knives, but they're cheap enough that losing one isn't the end of the world
My favorite auto is my Protech tr3. Super snappy.

Do you carry any of the out the front stilettos or a Tijuana specials that look like a god father knife? I used to sell knives at gun shows and some of those spendy autos really ca get away from you. My EDC is a cheap Kershaw with an open assist that is still razor sharp and opens like the wind. $17 close out.
I just bought my first auto - Pro-Tech TR-4 in CPM-D2. I love it. Now I understand what ppl mean with „That great Pro-Tech snappy action”. I think I’ll get more autos, but I’m sad, that so many of them don’t have the safety lock. I wouldn’t carry an auto without a safety lock. So it would have to be just a house knife. I’ll deffinitely check the Osborne 9400, Hogue (but this model is hard to get in Europe) and Boker Strike. When I’ll be more familliar with carrying/operating an auto, maybe I’ll get myself something like Magic Whiskers or a Launch

I have the 9400. Bought it from you guys the day it came out. I reserved it like 3 times and just canceled each time thinking I didn't need it. Talking myself out of it. I wish I kept my first reserve. May have a first production. Anyway, I'm glad i have one of the first models of its introduction because, you know this will have a long storied history too. Wish i would have went with black like my 940 but, all my blade are black and I wanted to try something different. Kind of regret it because the 9400 bk is just beautiful. May attempt to stonewash it but, 3 of the screws already stripped and yeah, benchmade please use a tougher screw. Isn't my only benchmade to strip. I hope they put serrations on these. Don't know though considering they cancelled all 940 serrations. Long story short, this has replaced my 940 as my edc. Why? Because just how simple and clean it looks. The green aluminum are the best scales ever. Especially when they get scuffed up. The body only has two screws. The auto mechanism adds to the look. Its just smooth and simple.
Fun fact: I bought the last 940 serrated black off of you bladehq. Cause once i bought it, the one from your site and amazon, which you were selling, said sold out. I think that's awesome. I couldn't find any before except the one I purchased. I have not been able to find any since. So, maybe i bought the last one on the internet that was being sold by a reputable dealer. Cool to think about.
